The Great Divide or often some call it the Foresthill divide is a very deep canyon where the American River flows. The road on the western side of it traverses along this steep canyon along its cliffs where at one time many prospectors traveled to and from during the Gold Rush. The views are priceless and only play a small part of our Last Chance adventure as we continuously climb higher up into the sierras.	Let us take the opportunity to take you on a tour along the cliffs of the great Foresthill Divide. Their is no room for error on this road if anothervehicle were to leave its lane it could mean plunging over the cliff for hundreds of feet. You can only imagine how difficult it was for mule trains to reach the town of Last Chance. At one point we had driven over an area where a portion of the road had washed out. This road resembles something that you would encounter in South America!

We just turned on the dirt road going on into Last Chance slowly leaving treacherous cliffs along the Foresthill Divide. The road would eventually narrow to a degree that it would leave us in question whether we were ever going to make it. This road traverses about 9 miles through thick dense forest and brush eventually narrowing. The moment I shut the video off multiple dirt bikes past me nearly having a head on collision with my truck. Imagine living out here in a small cabin during winter the challenges you would face?	This ghost towns locations true colors are starting to show as we take you on this bumpy journey into the heart of Last Chance. Notice how narrow the road becomes and the dense forest around me. I encountered a few dirt bike ramps in the middle of the road we almost bottomed out at so we were lucky to make it back here as a dirt bike cruises past the truck and I pull up at one of the remnants of the town.

This cottage appears to have certain indications that at one time someone may have perhaps squatted here. This home very close to where downtown Last Chance at one time was located. Surrounding this residence was a Masonic Lodge, Two-Story Hotel, General Store, Saloon, Butcher Shop and even an Order Of Odd Fellows Hall. Behind the house is a hole how deep who knows but holes like these could mean death knowing that many tunnels ran underneath the town. My son Jarrod was in the kitchen taking EMF readings for me when we did get a spike which is captured in this clip perhaps this cabin has permanent guest who never left!	This location is the Pacific Slab Mine which also was part of the town of Last Chance. Notice the aqueduct towards the back of this camp at one time which was used in hydraulic mining which was banned from North America. There is a very dismal feeling as I walk around town I feel as if I am watched here and there is so much to explore its almost overwhelming. This town discovery would occur in 1850 and some residents remained here till about 1982. Today everything is abandoned as nature consumes many of the sites. You are looking at over a century of true mining history when prospectors lived harsh life's in order to strike it rich!

The main mining house at the PSMC has a cellar which we came to the conclusion that it may be haunted or that we may have disturbed something of the supernatural. The door you see at the end of the video stood up on its own after I had resealed the basement. There is allot of history in this basement alone such as old pipes and lumber that was cut at Last Chance's saw mill. There is also mule deification inside the basement as well kind of an odd as we explore this dark dusty damp cold place.	Our ghost hunt revealed a few strange things about this particular structure. The first thing is that whatever haunts this place walks extremely heavy. The second thing about it is that we did get some mild readings nothing to extreme but I feel something ghostly perhaps a miner haunts this house. Its fairly clean inside unlike other cabins we toured perhaps because its rather difficult to explore. The pantry also revealed a jar that said Roy's Milk Jar.

My final conclusions of this ghost town are that it definitely gets a 10 for eeriness. I never felt alone here but what amazed me is the fact that even during the day their are unexplainable things occurring. For example the basement hatch stood up on its own then fell back down, knocking noises heard, sound of heavy boots walking around and feelings of being watched. There was also something big moving around the woods maybe an animal but nonetheless whether it was the supernatural or some animal we were never alone here this I do know as I cautiously hiked back to the truck pondering!	There is a sense of relief knowing that we didn't get stuck out here as we made our way back to the Foresthill Divide. Our next stop would be a ghost town called Michigan Bluff our gas was running low and we were pretty intrigued at how amazing Last Chance is. I am not sure I ever been to a ghost town like this place it has it all the mines, structures, cemetery, ghost and offroading adventure. This was an unforgettable adventure you will not see anything like this place in the world its unique and so is our organization!
