Kongsberg also known as Silver Mountain City was discovered around the 1850s it grew to 3000 miners and there families. Eventually the mines went bust the town died and very little today remains. In this video your going to get a birds eye view of the monolithic mountains that are over 11,000' in the area, alpine forest and Silver Creek which is raging. You will also get to see remnants of the old jail and a possible Sasquatch print found along the creek bed. I also filmed towards the end a Western Tanager which is a rare and very beautiful bird that is found up and around this region. This truly is an amazing area full of old mining roads, lush forest and mystery.

It is expedition two and at one time Silver Creek was a primary natural resource for the residents of Kongsberg. Only during late summer do creeks in the sierras subside to a degree that you can cross them. In this case our team and I are looking for an area to cross so we can do research on Silver Mountain which hold little remains of the town which once graced Ebbetts Pass. Not only did we find tracks along the creek but more so we are hopeful that beyond the creek will also hold some evidence in the vast wilderness that surrounds these raging waters.

The large mountain beyond Silver Creek is called Silver Peak which stands over 11,000' in elevation. In order for our team to do research beyond the pass we would have to cross Silver Creek which has extremely slippery rocks when they are wet. The hardest part about crossing is the ability to not slip which could possibly ruin the electronic equipment. Despite this fact I continue to film so we can document the hike thoroughly. I did have to briefly shut off the cam to help out Tammy as later I had found out that her foot was stuck under a rock and she couldn't move. Already Silver Mountain City was proving its might from the mother nature that surrounds this location. Our goal is simple find Bigfoot and any remnants that were left behind when the town went bust.

Silver Mountain is a beast with very little or no trails whatsoever. There are parts on this mountain that man hasn't set foot on in over a century. Whatever could be up here may remain a mystery. The ascension on the mountain would prove to be a very difficult task. This is due to the fact that the mountain is not only very steep but also contains allot of loose volcanic rock which makes it harder to grasp your climb or gain very little elevation. Parts of the climb would take us through meadows, plateaus and massive rocks caused at one time by hot magma seeping through the earths crust. As you can see we the scenic views from Silver Mountain are very rewarding.

The higher the elevation you ascend on Silver Mountain the more beautiful the views are. From this elevation you can view Silver Creek, Ebbetts Pass and many other landmarks found in this region. To my right is a deep wash while to the left is a hillside containing hillsides of loose volcanic rock. There are parts of this mountain the trees nearly grow sideways and there are very few flat areas where our team can rest. However the path we are taking is very similar to perhaps an adult Sasquatch would perform in order to gain access to and from the creek that sits in pass below. Let me tell you its not an easy hike on this mountain but it is very rewarding.

Although we worked very diligently and hard at this it does pay off with this massive track that we discovered hidden up on Silver Mountain. I feel this is the most relevant piece of evidence to our research with many more remaining questions then answers.

The track you are currently view was made by someone or something clearly heading down the mountain. I believe that based on its depth and size that whatever made it was heading down to Silver Creek.

If you study the track further their are a few key pieces that stand out beyond anything else. First off the Anterior part of the track seems to be much more deeper of an impression then then Posterior part of the foot. This may be attributed by the fact that more weight was applied towards the front of the foot perhaps this was due to the fact that the track is on a steep incline and at the time the ground may have been much more muddy especially in the spring when the snow starts to thaw. However more weight would therefore be applied towards the front region of the foot to retain balance.

The measurements of the track are about 3.5" in depth - 15" in length - 7" to 7.5" in width. The heel area of the impression is very difficult to see but it is there. I am speculating that whatever made the track was at least 500lbs plus or perhaps a Sasquatch of about 7 to 8' this is the real deal!

One of the most difficult areas of our research in this region would be descending off of Silver Mountain. Silver Mountain is a beast with cliffs, washes and dense forest. I made the decision to take the forest down to Silver Creek where our truck is parked at. This decision would benefit us safety wise however we would have to deal with thistle brush, snakes and other obstacles such as thick foliage.

In this video we are leaving the track behind and started to make our way off the mountain. I give our viewers a nice view of the surrounding area which includes the creek that we must make our way to. It is a long ways to go and allot of forest to cover. To make matters worst my arm was bleeding as when I fell I scraped it up on very sharp glass like volcanic rock which is found throughout Silver Mountain.

Hiking off of Silver Mountain is no easy feat there are no marked trails or clean paths. With every expedition The Paranormal & Ghost Society conducts there are what I call pros and cons.

For example the cons to this investigation is the sharp volcanic rock which can be very difficult to descend on. If you slip and fall your going to get cut up. This goes with the heavy amount of thistle brush we had to push through and the loss of our very durable hunting knife that I take with me on many of our hikes.

The pros to the exploration is we did find a decent track at a higher elevation and we came right out onto Silver Creek where we originally crossed. My truck was only 100' from where I finished off this clip. I apologize that the end of the video is zoomed on in I sort of went into a state of panic when I didn't see Tammy anywhere near the creek or truck. You will understand refer to part 10!

As much as I would like to open up a bottle of champagne we had two problems towards the end of expedition two. The first being that Tammy our lead investigator on our team is missing the other being that we had to cross Silver Creek a second time with all our gear. I almost slipped and that meant submerging my camera which can end any exploration abruptly. However nonetheless Jarrod and I enjoy a very short lived celebration of our climb and successful crossing of Silver Creek!

Tammy is nowhere to be found the sun is starting to set and finally on the two way radio we make contact with her. During our climb she ended up going higher up on Silver Mountain then started to come down a different wash.

Notice the giant dam that stands in our way rather then cross the creek Jarrod and I decide to climb over the dam. This is so we can locate Tammy quicker. We didn't realize Tammy was up on the mountain earlier during the investigation we spotted a hiker who was down near the creek however it turned out that all along it wasn't her which I found to be a bit odd.

The expedition has turned towards finding Bigfoot to finding Tammy. Although there is allot of humor such as Jarrod fencing me going up against my camera we do try to make some light of the situation.

Tammy finally met up with us after being separated from the team a couple hours out in Bigfoot country. Although this dam was conquered in Part 10 we had to cross it a second time to make our way back to the truck.

Unfortunately I fell through the dam lucky for me their wasn't any chomping beavers below as my feet were dangling just above the water below. Notice how low the camera gets to the top of the dam as I fell through.

Despite the misfortunes Tammy finished off expedition two strongly by crossing the dam with a big shit eating grin on her face. Towards the end of the exploration despite all the bruises, cuts and fatigue we turned out one hell of an adventure at this location.

The Pacific Coast Trail is an amazing wonder in the west. Trails like these are not maintained you climb boulders, climb under tree limbs, grab on to narrow ledges and at times even lose sight of where you are. Kongsberg is a harsh wilderness and once you leave the road your in for a treat. In this case after driving in we had to hike further on in to explore one of the canyons that at one time produced silver and gold. This is our third expedition to this area our first two we focused on Silver Creek and Mtn this one we would concentrate on areas across from it.

The probability of Sasquatch being up in this region is very high. This is a really great trail at times it becomes so overgrown that the trail becomes hidden. In one of those instances I came on out to a giant canyon with great views of Silver Mountain Cities monolithic peaks. There honestly is no place like this in the world its like being in another realm. We actually found some crystals here and it turned out to be a great experience for my family.

This for some may be a one way trip as there is no turning around you have the choice of either:

A. Abandoning your vehicle
or
B. Driving in reverse along a major drop-off with inches to spare.

There is no hyping up or acting here Tammy seen my tires come within two inches of the drop off and I drove in reverse for over 400 feet. You can clearly see Tammy stressing out she did commend me it takes allot of skill to produce footage while driving backwards and that my friends is "Living On The Edge"

Without offroading it isn't a Bigfoot exploration and sometimes even that can be exhilarating! The thing about women is that you cannot live with them but you cannot live without them out either so lets all share a chuckle on this one!

This is an old ox wagon trail that resides on the east side of Kongsberg. The road is relatively steep in most areas as you can tell I am out of breath because prior to filming I did a quarter mile sprint to check something on out. These back-roads were used by miners to export silver ore off the mountain. Today they are scenic wonders with waterfalls, rock formations and wonderful shady woods.

This is nearly one of the most secluded parts of Silver Mountain City. This area is an old mining ox road where ore would be brought down from the mines. Sadly I did not find any mines up here but I did find old wooden fencing along with an old metal stake often uses in Silver Mining. This road is very steep but it levels off and takes you into this hidden meadow. Within the hidden meadow the ground is cracked as if an earthquake occurred and in the center of it is this giant massive tree. I heard something following me around and yes I am very out of breath. I nearly jogged uphill for over a mile so by the time I reached the meadow I just wanted to snooze under the tree.

This forgotten cemetery sits along Ebbetts Pass and although small there is a tragic history which surrounds it. I know as much that a little boy and an older woman are buried here. Both of them died tragically and seperately mother and son. The Chalmers Mansion is just up the road and this is a remnant of the ghost town of Kongsberg. I filmed this on Sept. 11th 2011 as a way to honor the victims and despite the storm the American Flag still continues to wave in the wind.
