 The purpose of this cemetery project was not to investigate it for its ghosts but to document it historically for our viewers to see. The cemetery as far as I can tell dates back to the 1920's however this little region of the foothills was actually home to the Washoe tribe who were natives to the area for nearly 10,000 years. So it is possible that their are much older interments surrounding the newer burial ground. During the winter months the early Washoe would descend into the Carson Valley which boast hunting grounds, Carson River and milder weather thus making it an ideal region for the tribe to sustain themselves. In the beginning of 2014 a tribal member told us about the cemetery however I will leave their name anonymous simply out of respect.
 
The reason for my visitation here is to pay my respects nothing more and nothing less hence all the beautiful scenic photos to kind of show others that this really is a beautiful spot for an eternal rest.  I also wanted to make others more self aware to the fact that this cemetery has been heavily vandalized and desecrated so yes we did fix a few things here. It does not matter if you are Caucasian or Native American I see all of mankind one of the same especially in spirit. I have the ability to raise public awareness to keep this cemetery from being further damaged that is why we took photos of it.
 
 You can see in one photos that someone had shot a white picket fence with a shot gun because it is blown to bits and we found shells nearby. In other cases like the dog statuette is broken while other grave are split because someone shot at them.  Its a sad scenario but their is also sites of beauty and a few veterans buried here. Some of the graves unmarked while I found signs someone had been drinking here leaving beer bottles shattered near some grave sites. Honestly I believe that since people target practice, clay shoot and offroad in the Carson hills also know as Indian Valley Ranch area.
 
This area is heavily being mined so the cemetery is surrounded by strip mines unfortunately but also people who come out here to adventure. I think the adventuring part would be fine if others would not abuse the cemetery unfortunately its a bit nestled in foothills so its remote and that is why people commit such acts. So it needs to STOP end of story as this is a very private cemetery where the Carson Hills are losing a battle against man itself. 
 
 When I was documenting each grave for historical purposes and making videos to show the damage we did run into two very young men no older then 17 maybe 18 years of age. They were firing a shot gun probably buck shot because it was extremely loud. The young boys were firing in all directions not caring about the local wildlife or fauna. Sadly they almost fired onto us and we were in the cemetery which means they had plans to possibly target practice. So we may have stopped desecration in progress which we hope that the Washoe people will consider us a friend as I stood my ground and the boys did turn away.

 I have made my inner piece with the Washoe and they should do the same as out of respect I no longer investigate the cemeteries but rather document their cemeteries for historical purposes only. By now they must realize that my intent is pure and I am on their side or I would not want to teach others about their culture. It is also important to learn gun safety never shoot guns high in the air or blindly shoot into the wilderness because their are animals as well as others hiking in the area. 
 
It is important to log our journeys and the things we come across just as we passed the cemetery. I will not tell you where it is nor do I ask you to go since you can enjoy it from our site which we hope will cut down on those trying to find it. If you can see it here then you do not have to visit it however I cannot control people so if you do please treat the place with respect. It is historical but it is also a place for the dearly departed. I have visited many cemeteries and it seems that more then often I find many Washoe graves desecrated which is a travesty.
 
The photos are here because one day their is not going to be anything left due to people who disrespect such sites. However the photos are important in case someone decides to further vandalize this location we have the cemeteries current condition on file via photos and in our videos section.
