Our next major expedition would be also done on our bikes only this time I would go so deep into the hills we would focus on the lake and a few hidden areas which might hold possible evidence of the paranormal.
 
That is the one thing I can say about living out here is the fact that I can get on my bike and just go all over the wilderness. I think that allot of people take that for granted but not me. If my yard is going to be the wilderness I am going to utilized it to the max if that makes sense.
 
The boys and I decided to take our bikes out to a hidden lake also the Washoe Dam. I would assume the water here provides the residents of the reservation or early colony called Dresslerville with a fresh supply of water so I wanted to see it for myself since very few know about this place.
 
I am not even sure how we had gotten back to the lake since I used a GPS to find it because I did not take any trails or really any roads to get out here. Bike riding was pretty smooth as the first half of it we explored a mine which btw was not there a few years ago.
 
Hell a few years ago you could offroad in the high sierras and take the old wagon roads down into the hills. Not anymore most of the roads belong to mining corporations which is very disappointing because honestly we should be around to hike and explorer this area it is all wilderness. Not to mention like I said its a way to go to and from the sierras if your looking for back country.
 
The boys and I found a hidden area to stash our bikes after we mountain biked  The terrain gets far to rough to take bikes up and over. We climbed down into this canyon it was really rough boulders bigger then Ford trucks. To make matters worst their was allot of thistle brush and foliage the deeper we traversed the canyon. We found out the GPS mislead us it said the lake was only .3 miles away boy were we sure off by a couple months or rather it was off.
 
It took us awhile to make our way over tons of rocks and through the brush where a creek was barely flowing. Strangely we found this really old tree in the canyon and well if you know anything about the hills then you know that trees here are not very abundant so it was a cool site.
 
When we climbed out of the canyon we crossed this big open area it actually is the old ranch for the native American people. At one time they grew things here like potatoes although we found no crops I did find piles of cow patties which means that cattle do graze here. I know a century ago crops and live stock were a prime source of food for the Washoe people who were part of a little colony called Dresslerville.
 
We would make it eventually to the lake at one time you could see that it was all public for others to enjoy but it has long since closed down. I only really came here just to see the lake and appreciate it. Across the lake was a ranch house and it appears that most of the shoreline was made of volcanic rock whether that is natural or was built here to store water for the reservoir which is on the other side of the road that cuts between the two I am not sure. Their was also a dam blocking off the reservoir and of course water was trickling on the other side of it.
 
The lake itself was kind of low here you have this lake a mile or two long called Mud Lake and it did live up to its name because it was very low so we could see muddy shorelines on the opposite side of it. I was just glad to find it earlier we had found a pond or wetlands but it turned out not to be the lake we knew this was it though because it is very large and deep.
 
We decided to have lunch right on the lake I smoked me a bowl, cigar, ate some snacks, sandwiches as we sat their just admiring a calm. The back drop is the scenic pine nut mountain range and to the right the high sierras. I guess you can say that bend that is found in NV and Ca is where the Carson hills/Pass is. So its very scenic lots of snow capped peaks seen from afar of the Carson Iceberg Wilderness.
 
Another reason I went to the lake is I have a family friend who use to go here to catch catfish but again this was a few years ago things change. But him and his father would go up here to fish back when perhaps he was younger. But again many of the roads were public one of my first major offroading expeditions took place in the hills back in 2011 and it was a blast.
 
We had hiked back taking the roads it is so scenic 360 degrees so it was a decent hike back. We found when cutting across the high desert a skull it had some hair left on it but for the most part it was just the skull laying on its side. Their are predators and animals do die out here that is just fact what happened to this creature who knows.
 
We climbed down into the strip mine from up on a manmade cliff it is sad to see how much of the mountain is just gone. This was an ancient home to the early Washoe and now its an area full of strip mines kind of sad to see but mining is big in this state. It is a major source of business in the state of Nevada that includes old and new mines ever since the gold rush.
 
Strangely when we went back to our bikes it was obvious someone else found our secret spot as we found a fourth track leading up to the bikes. I think someone was following us people I swear have no lives I am sure once they seen kids bikes they backed off but still we were not out in the hills causing problems. We were there to take photos, investigate and put content together so we could bring you this place on our site. Being an area full of UFOs it is a very relevant site in my opinion.
 
I wanted to do the hills more thorough since I was moving it kind of will give our members an the idea of what my yard use to look like. Ill miss it allot moving from here is going to be hard for me and sad. I was one of the few who recognized this place for all that it is worth. The kids and I use to go target practicing here, sledding, hiking, bike riding and last of all investigating. Although ill be near other wilderness sites nothing will live up to the Carson Hills the foothills of the Sierra Nevada's.

We found this wonderfully preserved skull deep in the Carson Hills with no other bones attached. Its obvious that it was carried for some distance whether this carcass became victim of hunters, other prey or even aliens one can only wonder. More then likely this is the skull of a coyote which are abundant in this area. I use to hear coyotes every night while living in the hills some packs of them hunting for smaller game.
Not paranormal but a photo of a low flying jet that went directly over the mines. So this does prove their are modern airliners that fly directly over the hills prior to coming into Reno for a landing. However it also proves that the chances of seeing a Kee Bird WWII are extrenely slim. The plane took seconds to pass over us but some of the UFO I have seen over the region have lasted as long as 45 minutes.

More tracks we found not to far from the lake most likely caused by deer not aliens or anything strange. Many of the deer go right up into the hills and fade right into the national forest which is seen as a backdrop surrounding this area.

We had stashed our bikes away because the GPS told us the lake was above us up the hill then it turned out it was not so by the time we arrived back it was apparent that someone also on a bike followed our tracks because we came back to a fourth set of tread marks. Following my cycling footage which I know is a bit shaky sorry we made a grim discovery of a skull however the rest of the skeletal remains was missing. The audio starts to mess up near the end sorry again the camera took a beating on the bike nothing I can do about it. It is possible that this mammal may have fell victim to some sort of alien abduction/mutilation!
