The Paranormal & Ghost Society

The sun is setting up in the Carson Pass and we just recently set up our camp. This is a tour of the camp which includes the river, campsite and surrounding vicinity. It is a very historical scenic area full of sheer granite cliffs and the lush forest of the high sierras. We would be visiting this area Labor Day of 2011 and spend three days at this location scouring the region for anything strange. You can see both my dogs and family in the video who partake in allot of the projects that I currently conduct and in the end everyone has a really great time. This is truly what camping is all about what a great place!	Our first night of dinner included corn, stead and potato salad. In this clip I film my son eating he is so embarrassed but I had to bust his chomps just slightly. That is the one thing I can say about our excursions we always bring good food to cook. Dinner here would e very dark for us minus our campfire nearby and lanterns.
Behind our camp is an area full of granite rock formations and cliffs. Some of these rocks are the size of small houses and were brought here via glacier where they came to rest where they are today. The hike is fairly treacherous there is allot of rock climbing involved and amongst them are various dens. These dens and small caves can be found throughout which we are investigating them for any signs of Bigfoot activity in the area. I have to say this was one of my favorite parts of the trip was the rock climbing.	The caves and dens you see were formed in the last glacier age. We found them to be rather unique as some had back exits while others were filled with water. The first important rule of Bigfoot hunting is to always check the places man passes by and it was obvious that some of these dens have never been visited. We did not find any signs of life that resided in any of these naturally formed rock shelters however they would provide shelter or keep Bigfoot elusive if it was necessary. Perhaps in the winter they just might!
The more rock climbing we commit to the more of these dens and caves we continue to find. Some of these small dens have foliage growing inside while others are covered with a bed of leaves as if at one time or another they housed wildlife. We had to be careful some of the rocks had 20' drop-offs as we hopped amongst the granite rocks seeking these caves out.	Everyone is having lunch at camp even the dogs lol. But after this lunch I would plan out a hike that would take us to the base of the cliffs behind camp. Some of the climbing would be tedious however track finding is very important no matter what forested area we visit in the sierras. So a good lunch would be at the top of my list as I sat on a giant granite rock near my campsite.
The climb up here is steep with allot of dropoffs. However near an overhang we found a few sets of tracks. They are about 14 inches and are fairly fresh. This overhang sits behind my camp a few hundred feet above the Carson Pass. I know the tracks are hard to see but it appeared that something was trying not to slip so it took a few side steps to prevent itself from slipping. You can see in the tracks the slide marks as if something was trying to get a hold of its footing. There were no veritable shoe impressions or tread marks whatever walked through here was flat footed.	For a good portion of the year this river does flood causing deadly white water rapids and consuming everything in its path. However by Labor Day its very shallow and great for swimming. In this clip someone left behind a shirt, flipflops and even a knife. This river also follows the Kit Carson Pass and not to far away from its bank is where we had our camp set up. There is nothing but good times here in this scenic little section of the river to be had here.
Who would ever have thought that these Stellar Jays enjoy partaking in dog food. Earlier a day prior to this video Tammy seen one of these diving down to the dogs dish and eating dog food. Of course my dogs thought that this guy was a little snack. The next day he came on back so my son put some dog food on a rock and he took the bait for this beautiful clip that I shot. These birds are very common surrounding the forest around Tahoe and in the sierras. They resemble that of a blue jay but are much larger in size!
