I was enthralled to arrive in Tonopah one of Nevada's most haunted semi ghost towns and "Queen Of The Silver Camps. This would be an exciting research trip being that I arrive at dusk my first night is spent admiring the dim lights of the Mizpah Hotel and downtown. In this segment ill give everyone an overview and some incite as I take you down dark alleys. Tonopah begin as a Silver Mining Camp around 1901 when a man by the name of Jim Butler found silver ore near some springs where he camped. Today all the mines, mills and many of the cabins the miners lived in are abandoned perhaps haunted and forgotten. This was my arrival leaving the Jim Butler Motel on a cold below freezing and dark night. While the town is bustling during the day after dusk it gets real desolate as I journey the streets which are lined with many wood and stone structures.

The old Tonopah Army Airfield was used as an air training center, cold war station and even an area where some of America's most sophisticated aircraft were tested at. Chuck Yeager ran a series of test on the runways being the first man to break Mach speed and ill even take you to a massive wood hanger where he supposedly flew some of his aircraft out of. The segment will start off with me journeying from Monitor Valley south as I travel through an expanse surrounded by snow capped mountains all around me descending onto the airbase. Ill drive through the airbase where some dogs tried to attack my vehicle and eventually I will arrive at the hangar. At one time this was a large base in 1941 it had barracks, multiple hangars, school, training centers, water tanks, post exchange, crash supply stations, range facilities, warehouses, operations buildings, supply buildings and so much more. Today most of the airfield is abandoned and used as a small local airport. But back in the day this was a large military base with very little remaining but ruins and history.

This is a grand tour of the Old Tonopah Cemetery which contains 300 interments. The cemetery only was used from 1901 till about 1911. Burials stopped because they ran out of room especially after the Belmont Tonopah Mine Fire which killed 17 men and 14 of them are buried here including "Big Bill" who sacrificed his life to save many men over a 1000' below the surface but by his third rescue he never came back up. Other pioneers buried here died due to the mysterious Tonopah Plague. Most of the folks buried here were in poverty therefore at best they were given a wooden grave marker or cross. The cemetery is next to the Clown Motel so in a sense both locations go hand in hand for its strangeness. This is a haunted cemetery something I sought out to prove and I did just that so at the time I was filming this my thoughts would be to visit here late at night to unmask this places mysteries. I did make a slight error due to misinformation but there is no Masonic cemetery its all one graveyard but it appears the more well to do were buried on a hill towards the back and some were masons. The first burial here was a man by the name of John Randel Weeks on May 7th of 1901. Most of the people here died tragically Tonopah was the true boom town it had the good, bad and ugly. Some of the men buried here died tragically in those mines and in merely a decade this graveyard led to full capacity.

After dinner at the Mizpah and drinking some ales from the Tonopah Brewing Company I decided to pack up my gear and hike on foot around the midnight hour. Over the years Tonopah has had a reputation for being creepy and haunted. Some people have some pretty spooky tales about this old mining town. I wanted to put such rumors to the test seek out what I could find and urban explore the shit out of this place. Tonopah is one of the top places in the world to view the stars its a dark town and historic sites like the Mizpah and the Desert Queen Head Frame lit up at night serve as landmarks anywhere within the town. I want to take our viewers on a journey down dark alleys, past stone, wood and abandoned structures. While my first segment of this series focused primarily on downtown I am going to take you on a more offbeat night journey on a very cold winters night. I want to show our viewers how eerie this town is sure it has its hare of ghost stories as well but to just be on foot exploring this town every turn and street holds a gem or wonder. While laughing, drinking and people conversing can be heard from those who still partake in the saloons this town went from having over 10 thousand people to just a couple thousand today. But back in the day at night you would hear the mills crushing ores, a piano and women entertaining the miners. Today things have slowed down a bit the streets are desolate and its easy to feel watched no matter where you go. I was exhausted I had been up for almost 24 hours journeying through deep snow in Belmont Nevada, adventuring at the Tonopah Airfield, uncovering history at the old pioneer cemetery and now fading into the darkness.

Their are quite a few stories about how Tonopah came to be the most well known is about a Hay Farmer named Jim Butler who lived in Belmont. He woke up after camping near the springs an ancient place to the Shoshone Indians. He woke up in the morning found his mule had wandered off as the story goes he went to pick up a rock to throw at it turned out it was high grade silver ore the other story is that his mule kicked over a piece of ore. No matter how he discovered gold Butler had Tasker Oddie of Belmont a Nevada governor and senator get the ore assayed. Therefore Oddie, along with Jim Butler and his wife Bell filed at least eight claims which led to some of the richest silver mines in the country if not the world. In a matter of a decade mines like the Mizpah, Montana, Tonopah - Belmont, Silver Top, Burrow and Desert Queen brought in nearly 200 million dollars in revenue. When the first load of ore was sent to Austin then Salt Lake the Butlers used the money hire miners eventually leasing the mines. Today you can see the original claims, mills, scattered mining equipment, vaults, stone ruins, remnants of the Goldfield & Tonopah Railroad, House of Barbara Graham aka Bloody Babs, TNT shacks and a special tour of the Desert Queen mine where many miners died tragically in the 1911 Belmont Mine fire. Tonopah and the camp was built right around these mines so this is a focal point and is very well preserved almost as if you stepped back in time. There are some great views of the mountains 360 degrees along with downtown Tonopah just below our exploration. To sweeten the deal ill take everyone 500' in a steel cage suspended above a deep mine shaft and in the Burrow mine. If you have time you will really enjoy this amazing adventure and exploration in the cold of winter just below Oddie Peak. Special song and gallery near the send called Seeger enjoy!

The Tonopah - Belmont Mining Company was formed in 1902 which would eventually connect to the Desert Queen Mine below Mount Oddie. The company had 11 claims and owned about 160 acres thus they would need to build a mill to process all the ore coming out of the mines. There was almost 39 miles of tunnels built under this mill. In 1901 the silver ore had to be shipped to Millers for processing. But from 1912 to 1923 a massive 60 stamp mill was built here to process copper, gold, silver and lead were pulled out of these mines on site. As a matter in fact in 1913 the mines and mill processed over $10 million dollars in profits. During its years of operation over $120 million dollars was made in profits. One of the shafts sunk on site was 1700' in depth and mining here was dangerous. In 1911 some timbers had caught on fire making the air toxic. Seventeen men never made it out alive at this site due to probably a candle being left burning which led to many miners not being able to escape to the surface. Today what remains of this silver fortress are ruins such as massive walls, remnants of a smelter, perhaps a TNT vault, tunnels and so much more. I will climb the side of Oddie Peak to take you up the different tiers to the top of the mill above the old Tonopah Army Airbase its incredible I also had a nail go through my foot so it can be dangerous climbing around here in the snow because there are hazards. So you can imagine how dangerous it was to work here back when the mill was operable. One of the shafts perhaps some springs I come across are covered by giant stone slabs you can hear the water rushing fast and ill even take you the top of a massive silver dump pile so you can see how massive the mill is from afar. This mill is a beast an urban exploration you will not want to miss!

We were getting ready to head for home but before sundown I wanted to give our viewers a more personal exploration of some of Tonopah's more haunted locations which would include some miner cabins that were originally built for prospectors who worked at the mines above the town just a short walk away. I will also take you to a haunted elementary school back in the boom town days a riot occurred near here to force out the Chinese. A man was killed with a hatchet which today is said to haunt the school and the road I was filming at. I will also take you to a well preserved area of Tonopah which many historical relics, homesteads and even head frames. On this journey ill take you up on a hill just outside of town so you can see how remote and vast Tonopah really is with mountains covered in snow in every direction. We will stop at a gas station where my son had a really creepy ghostly experience. He left his hat in the vehicle to use the rest room but when he left it he seen his hat sitting inside the gas station against the window similar to what happened with my keys when I went to the nearby Clown Motel. Towards the end of the segment ill show you a few stone buildings that we will be returning to explore visiting also the Jim and Belle Butler memorial followed by me driving into the sunset after a very long but successful adventure in Tonopah. We spent three days exploring mills, ruins, mines, abandoned buildings, an army airfield, Belmont which is Tonopah's sister ghost town, cemeteries and dark eerie alleys. It was a weekend filled with adventure but also snow storms, cold brisk winds and the dearly departed.

Within a week I return to Tonopah only this time we would spend a night at the creepy, haunted and strange Clown Motel. This clip will start off at room 103 where we bunked up for the night at then will take you just below the Silver Top mine to some haunted dark abandoned miner cabins. Ahead of time the film is dark I could not find my bright light we had driven through a blizzard earlier that morning everyone was simply cold, tired and due to previous issues with locals on my first adventure we had to maintain a very low profile sorry. After we explore some miner cabins I head off to the old very haunted pioneer cemetery along the way giving you a dismal tour of the Clown Motel as we peer into a room filled with clowns. While I visited the graveyard at night during our first expedition this time around I spent a couple hours behind the Clown Motel investigating various grave sites and doing my own paranormal investigation more extensively which produced us some great EVP's and even a few pictures of manifestations. The cemetery may just be haunted by the ghost of those who died in the Belmont Mine Fire, Mysterious Plague and other tragic accidents. I have heard of people being chased by scary clowns here although I did not see any my creep factor was pretty high while trampling around in the darkness between rows of wood crosses. At the end of the clip we have some eerie music and a wonderful gallery of evidence we collected here along with some photos from our night portion of the expedition. This may just be one of the most haunted cemeteries in all of Nevada.

We returned to Tonopah for our second expedition as we ended up being caught in one of the worst snowstorms of 2016 perhaps the worst in five years to hit this historic mining town. We start our adventure at a series a structures one brick the others stone with a pentagram above the door. Its snowing and so windy we cannot even see the mountains around us just a wall of white. After hiking around some abandoned buildings will drive through the newer Tonopah Cemetery which has some nice wrought iron enclosures and eventually above downtown on some rural streets. Along the way ill show you some abandoned miner cabins, boarded up stone powerhouse and off road during the storm through a hilly mining district where we found some stone ruins. As I cruise around I find a big old creepy white house one of the oldest mansions in Tonopah residing above the town and eventually will stop at the Clown Motel where ill give you a brief tour introducing you to Ronald McDonald! Are you down with the Clown? This clip is special as most of the video is film from our second expedition the first couple hours we arrived into town. When we arrived there was a terrible snowstorm then the next day as we head on out of Tonopah a second snowstorm was blasting us. We were lucky to have gotten to explore some of the miner cabins and the cemetery. Our journey was far from over though we were on our way to the ghost town of Columbus we were not even sure if we would get there. Tonopah was an extensive mining town as you can see sure many of the homesteads are abandoned giving it a semi ghost town feel. Back in the day however it boasted six saloons, lawyers, doctors, hotels, restaurants, lodging houses, assay offices and eventually even a railroad. We drove into the storm but we also left in it there was no escaping the wall of white which made our exploration all the more dismal perhaps even in a sense creepy due to the desolation and lack of visibility.

Please use caution when traveling to rest stops late at night in rural Nevada as over the past few years many people along with there vehicles have come up missing or even possibly displaced particularly around rest stops that are remote where I followed this struck to record its plate number due to witnessing suspicious activity. The individual pulled up behind a woman sleeping in her vehicle I purposely pulled next to her vehicle when the truck sped up real fast driving out in the desert behind the rest rooms only to turn around continuing to watch us. After a showdown with the driver they drove 50mph thru the parking lot at the Millers rest stop 13 miles just outside of Tonopah Nevada Its very dark, remote, poor cell phone reception and was late at night. I found the behavior of the individual no less to be strange and I could see someone was alone sleeping in a small car. I begin to clean out my cooler draining it getting a snack taking a aspirin for my back. Then, Ten minutes later I begin to travel up the road and came up behind the truck which appeared to be going really slow as if they were waiting for me. The individual swerved for a few miles even tried to get me to pass him in a no passing lane as tractor trailers were coming in the opposite direction. I filmed the plate in case anyone else has had similar encounters with this vehicle which appears to be a white or silver F-150 truck with extended cab perhaps a Silverado pulling an empty vehicle dolly in the middle of nowhere with no vehicle being pulled behind it YET with the California plate number of 6YSR967. If you see a person driving a truck like this you may want to lock your doors and evade this individual entirely if you travel rural Nevada often. While I do not want to accuse anyone of doing anything illegal we are all obligated to report strange or possibly criminal behaviors therefore if you are at a Nevada or California rest stop be aware that the individual driving this vehicle may have ill intent or be possibly victimizing or thinking about doing so at rural rest stops like Millers where I encountered this person behind the wheel of this truck. I am deeply concerned by the behavior of the individual and do believe I interrupted them in the middle of stalking someone sleeping alone in there vehicle or even possibly them trying to tow it away with the person still in there Please make a note of it that if you travel the lonely highways in Nevada A. Never travel alone B. Carry a stun gun, pistol, knife or pepper spray C. Have an emergency phone and D. Do not leave your vehicle doors unlocked and be careful of walking alone to the dimly lit rest rooms at rest stops like the ones I just left to film this truck. Have you seen this vehicle involved in suspicious activity? If so call local law enforcement IMMEDIATELY!
