 The Sparks Estate located in Northern Nevada may be one of the more intense haunted historical homes I ever investigated or researched during time spent chasing the paranormal in the silver State. As most of you who follow our website you are aware I investigated allot of locations ranging from homes to cemeteries and even ghost towns with dark spooky mines behind it. Its not to often I come across "An All American Haunting" such as this and I love the estate in all the ghostly phenomena that comes with it. Since this is an ongoing case we plan on bringing you something special in the future as will continue to build onto our case of what is known as the Sparks Estate! Not only is it a historic site but its also extremely haunted and quite a few folks have had ghostly encounters here day or night!

The photo I posted above is how the home originally looked many years ago before it was ever renovated as you can see at one time it had a wall. While over 30 different families or couples lived in the home renovations transpired in 2002 and 2009 which may have really stirred up paranormal activity in my opinion. Its not uncommon in America for beautifully historic homes to be built a century ago only to be renovated to increase their value or preserve its historical worth. Sometimes in those in cases you get a couple or two who may have owned the home and this might have been their life's dream and one day they pass away perhaps refusing to leave even in the afterlife. Then you get a few businesses who go in renovating the entire property which may anger the dearly departed or displace energy causing a dead cell to awaken. The last time anyone actually resided in the estate was in 1996 since then its just been a place of business. I have not figured out the why but I am quite sure about the what if that makes sense.  Perhaps the haunting's that occur here may be related to the older couples who resided in the home whom passed on or maybe due to the fact that next to the estate are two more historically haunted homes which might just be one giant ghostly smorgasbord for all we know after hours! One of those homes has also been turned into a business and late at night from the attic is a ghostly figure that likes to peer out the window!

The estate today is considered a historic site there are only a few people with keys and access to the property we are one of them. Therefore this gives me an open line at anytime to investigate it freely or monitor the estate for paranormal activity. Paranormal activity can sometimes occur here for days on end therefore over time were going to incorporate some science into what we decide to do with this case that includes monitoring CCTV cams which I can view from the privacy of my own home anytime. When Tammy relocated her office here we seen allot of strange happenings occurring with the cams such as violent shaking, energy anomalies flying past the lens and other unexplained phenomena. We did have infrared evidence unfortunately it was lost because we had no idea the security company deletes the archives automatically. So in the future will be making sure this never happens again so our viewers can also follow this case.

It was built as a home in 1940 the original owners were a couple who were married in 1921. Geraldine was born 1901 and lived till 1984 passing away in Texas while her husband was born in 1900 passing away in 1960 in Oregon whom I believed served our country in WWI. The couple had two children together just a short time after they were married a son in 1922 and a daughter born in 1925. So by the time this house was built by them or purchased the son would have been 18 and ready to join the military while the daughter would have been 15. Therefore a family did live here for many years and more then often I find that when someone makes a life for themselves somewhere there spirit tends to stick around. Now bear in mind the couple did not pass away in the home however that does not mean they were not connected to it in some way.

 I also read a story a couple years ago that talked about another couple purchasing the home and living at the estate for many years as well after the Sparks Family. I believe that based on those records the man that owned this property left his wife a widow living here in the 1970's and she was eager to get rid of the home for merely $10 dollars just as I seen a record that signified at one time someone else sold the home for merely a property tax of $1,300. One must wonder as to why anyone would want to sell such a beautiful estate for either cost unless they were trying to get rid of it. The Forbush Family was the second longest family to have lived in the home but with death or even retirement allot of times such estates become foreclosed upon or even sold to a buyer who might bite on such a costs without really ever knowing that the estate holds some haunting secrets of its own. I read at the time that Forbush had purchased the home went through a divorce and ending up marrying another woman who inherited the property after his death. I believe that the widow ended up selling the home for ten dollars only to somehow end up getting it back again. Eventually when she did end up finding a more permanent buyer she moved to a retirement home.

Since the two couples lived in the home nobody ever stays more then a couple of years here since then. At times the estate has been abandoned at one time and foreclosed upon multiple times. From 2002 to about 2009 a man ran his office out of this location perhaps this is the longest standing business to have remained here. Prior to Tammy getting a hold of the property a tech company ran their business out of here mainly from the basement as its cool enough to run computer servers. Strangely before they could ever even mention anything about the ghost of a woman both of us already had experiences with her the first week setting up the offices, lobby and conference rooms here. My first ghostly experience occurred when I was left here alone to assemble furniture then all of sudden the only original room in the estate became a Mecca for noises. It sounded like someone was walking around in the office and then all of sudden I heard furniture move across the room. I went to go check it out nobody was there and why? Simple I was alone! Later that night I heard what sounded like a woman talking in the basement then I heard screaming or yelling lets just say my creep factor went up a few notches because I have no other explanation for these occurrences other then ghosts!

Since Walter was buried in Oregon and Geraldine was buried in Idaho it might be safe to say she had gotten remarried or this couple ended up divorcing. I believe both of their spirits haunt this home I just am not sure why. The ghost of the woman often seen here enjoys moving objects around allot as if she is upset that her home is being turned upside with offices perhaps or modern technology perhaps. While the ghost of the man appears to always be in the basement shouting, angry, banging on the walls or ceilings. I cannot say for sure that this is the couple that haunts the estate it might have been one of the other couples who today has passed on that may have lived here at one time. The master bedroom today an often a light flickers on and off often an employee here finds her office to be haunted. Maybe at one time an elderly man who spent his last breath in this house may have spent it in this room. The room in the middle of the estate has never been renovated even today old original wallpaper can be seen in the closet. Nobody ever goes in this room and why would they its haunted?

Its kind of strange to find a basement in the estate and it even has a safe built into the wall. Allot of times doors will open to the basement or boxes thrown down the steps vanish without a trace. Most people are to scare to go down to the basement hence why they throw boxes. A friendly neighborhood orange tabby sometimes walks into the estate but as soon as he gets to the basement stairs he freezes up stares at the basement and hisses. So during my investigation based on interviews, CCTV monitoring and the reaction from the cat I truly believe that whatever haunts this house is dwelling in that basement. Basements are very rare in northern Nevada a few homes in the area have them but you do not see them often. If the estate was older then Id came to a theory that at one time a wake or funeral was held here. More then often back in the day your loved ones may have been put in the basement where it was cooler until the time the wake was held. However, a more common practice in the early 1900's and the estate was built in 1940.

When it comes to the estate I have more questions then I do answers. I want to know why the home has changed hands so many times or why its so haunted. What happened here that its so actively haunted and scaring employees to a degree that they wont step foot on the property after dark? Lets face it bad things happened in some homes whether its abuse, evil people doing evil things, death, life, love, tragedy and loss. Its quite possible the estate experienced a little of everything because the type of activity that occurs here varies. Furniture might be stacked or moved around just as in the large conference room Tammy might stack training books on the shelves then walk out only to come back finding them everywhere. I remember one evening I took her to the estate to pick up some supplies when she came running out scared white as a ghost telling me she thinks someone broke in and is roaming around inside. She stated that when she opened the door to walk in it was dark so she could not see then all of sudden heard something or someone run up to her full speed wood floors banging. I quickly grabbed my handgun ran inside thinking their was a burglar and of course after investigating the property I found their to be nobody inside. This also goes with the fact we have CCTV infrared cameras and the property is alarmed. All I could do is keep wondering if maybe this was the ghost of a child. One time Tammy found on the floor in the lobby a bunch of objects stacked like a kid was playing with their toys!

The estate not only brings us allot of nature such as deer that come to graze on the property and dine on its apples but its fruitful in paranormal activity. For example one time Tammy went to go home smelled fresh perfume in the jeep this goes with besides the fact that all the settings had been messed around with. She said that it smelled like something an older woman would wear. Of course some folks might say hey noises in a old home might be a coincidence and you might be right. But that does not explain the disembodied voices or apparitions that are often sighted staring at the window. It cant be coincidental that the previous folks to utilize the estate had also similar experiences and mentioned it to Tammy at the time solely on their own perhaps to at least give her a heads up. With that being said below I will post a list of all the occurrences that we have experienced since 2015 while utilizing the estate for business. Just keep in mind I will NOT disclose the offices location as this is a place of private business and its important also to protect those who are associated with it including my partner Tammy. However, we want our viewers to continue to enjoy this place for years to come through our hard work and paranormal research that is ongoing here.

We also want our viewers to enjoy the abundance of nature found here the estate is below the mountains near a canyon so its not uncommon for a variety of wildlife to visit it. Their is at least over 100 species of birds, variety of flowers, plant life, deer and even black bear that come down off the mountains just to graze on the estates lawn. Personally I am not sure what I love more the ghosts or being surrounded by all the nature found here. Paranormal activity we have found to be most prevalent between October through the Holidays again we are not sure why. What I do know is their is never a dull moment cold and hot spots, blood splatter found on the floors, furniture moving around, windows or doors opening up by themselves, objects disappearing, voices, apparitions, banging noises, lights flickering and all the things that are typical of a real all American Haunting! Our evidence may not show it that is because with the Sparks Estate its more of an experience if you want to call it that. So being that Tammy including myself have spent quite a few days and nights here whatever strange happens is random or rather unexpected making it all the more harder to really know when another ghostly experience will occur. Employees here have literally called Tammy in fear of hearing things and asking to go home because of it. A big burly dude who is the receptionist constantly closes all the doors especially when he is alone here as if he fears something is watching him from another room.

With that being said I can actually say beyond a reasonable doubt that the home is haunted and not just by an occasional occurrence. I cant say something bad happened here but I can say that their is more then likely two to three resident ghost that inhabit the estate. It would seem that also when everyone goes home the motion cameras in the basement and lobby get set off by an unseen force. We just have no idea what it is but on one occasion we seen a globule of energy go right past one of the cams while another time something was moving around the camera in the basement which is very strange to say the least. I don't believe any of this is coincidence as a matter in fact I believe most property owners who had purchased this estate were eager to get rid of it once they found out they were not alone here.

As you can see allot has changed if you study the photo above to today's modern photographs that we took. The conference room today use to be back in the day a small garage. The hardwood floors are original along with the central office none of which ever been renovated. Their is a strange crawl space in the basement that goes deeper under the home its just creepy lets leave at that and more then likely that is where the ghostly entity that haunts this house is hiding which will work with more in the future.  A wheelchair ramp along with patio doors were also added to the property in front of the estate. Many of the trees that surround the estate were here before it was even built some trees date back to the mid 1800's. Another office was added as an additional room during renovations and that is the only area in the estate that absolutely is not haunted. But just a few feet away an old dark closet creeks open by itself time to time even though the door to it is shut completely.

No matter what it is you believe as long as this estate continues to serve the community and others it will always be haunted. Granted its no longer a home but in a sense it is. During Halloween employees come in decorate the entire office inside extensively. During Christmas the tree has ornaments and lights on it as its snowing outside. Parties take place here and allot of folks visit the estate during the day. Some people have much more intense paranormal experiences here then even my time spent here investigating the estate. Perhaps our unseen friends pick and chose who they wish to haunt wisely maybe I am not as fun to haunt who knows? Perhaps the elderly couple who moved in after Geraldine and Walter haunt this estates dismal halls so in a sense its really there world and we live in it. Maybe were after all the trespassers and those that passed on refuse to let go of their once beloved beautiful estate. I have done allot of research and investigations across the country but one of the most shocking haunts of all in my career that amazes me every time is The Sparks Estate its NEVER a disappointment when it comes to the dearly departed and trying to uncover the estates darkest secrets! Don't let the estates cozy charm fool you behind these walls the dearly departed are watching and awaiting their next victims to spook!
