Today these many buildings are ruins of what was at one time an entire Naval facility. Now they remain abandoned only to be used and vandalized. This was my first initial visit to the buildings I would plan on eventually infiltrating them internally.
One of the largest buildings on site is this old hospital although it does not very large on the exterior inside it is divided into wings containing over 30 rooms.

Some of the buildings on site do contain basements however this one under the hospital is a mere crawlspace filled with pipes, spiderwebs and rodents within the darkness.
This video would take us to the Sea Cadet Corps training building which is more like a school. Later on we would visit this site at night and explore it. Its just a long rectangular building with about ten rooms divided by a single hallway.

We had just entered the halls of the hospital and one of the first things we seen written on a wall is Hail Satan. Every corner and turn held a special surprise filled with mystery sometimes even history.
The more we explored the more we realized how intricate this hospital would become. Every hall led to a room or a back way out. The hospital had multiple kitchens, closets, bathrooms and medical rooms. It was a mere maze where we would enter a door coming out to an area we had already been before like a hall of mirrors.

I had to cut this video short when I was made aware of the 420 room! Aside from this room we found a soundproof and black room as well.
When I turned the corner to enter this room it contained the giant tapestry art work of Lake Tahoe. Perhaps this room was for the staff nonetheless at one time this massive piece of work must had been beautiful.

Just when I was getting serious setting up motion alarms and getting my groove on Tammy decided to play a ghostly prank onto me. I have to admit she had gotten me pretty good now and then we try to scare one another it rarely works except in a circumstance like this when I am looking in the screen of my video cam.
Besides the books and desk the real history found here remains within these filing cabinets. Some of them have accident records all the way to proper grooming. It really tells a tale of the history of some of the last Sea Cadets who studied here.

The buildings today are used by druggies,vagrants and perhaps even prostitutes. Not only is there allot of history to be found but we also discovered a few little dirty secrets along the way. Just a part of what you would find when exploring!
After leaving the Naval Facility the road home was very unpleasant full of blustery snow and high winds which come off of the sierras. At one time this military facility could use the local mountains as a source of training for their cadets. We look forward to returning so that we can explore other buildings also found on site hopefully with nicer weather.
