Showers Lake

The Showers Lake region is truly amazing it is one of the most scenic remote places directly south of Lake Tahoe. I have worked so far with Meiss, Round and Lake Dardanelles in this region. However the only two lakes left to explore in this region were Showers lake which I took Sue to and Scotts Lake will probably visit next month since most of the snow by then should be gone. We had left very early the sun just came up but I wanted a really good head start because I know that these expeditions in search of Bigfoot can go from early morning till late at night seriously!

We parked up at the Meiss Meadow trail head boy was I surprised recently a couple weeks ago we had a major storm which dumped a few feet of snow in the high sierras. So when we arrived at the trailhead everything was blanketed in snow some of it as high as 8' some of it just a few inches deep.

The beginning of the trail head takes you up over the ridge and Red Peak. I like the Red Peak area lots of UFOs and Bigfoot considering it is the ElDorado National Forest its full of strange oddities and paranormal places.

We had no trail to follow so I just took us straight up the side of Red Peak and over the ridge into this valley. Sue was sliding on her ass down over the ridge then you come across a second ridge. You really have to be careful because their are drop offs and allot of hazards so I tried to take us up the safest way possible which really seemed to know the wind out of Sue. Then again most people would not make it its a fairly high elevation and the higher you go the more snow you encounter.

Last year their was hardly any snow here all meadows, creeks, waterfalls, wild flowers etc but everything was buried. I could pan my camera 360 degrees and see thick snow on every single mountain around us. Even Caples Lake below was covered in a patch of ice as you can see it as you near the top of the ridge which connects to Red Peak. The views were awesome of Round Peak, Warehouse Peak, Elephants Back, Red Peak etc despite being covered in snow this is one of my first wintry expeditions in the sierras.

When we came down the first ridge I seen a skier with their dog that sure looked fun but now that I look back its a stupid idea it could trigger an avalanche. The kids and I found four separate avalanche zones so I made sure we stayed as far away from those areas where the snow was hanging by a thread. You have to hike in these mountains to know these mountains and know the hazards so if you think I am reckless I am in fact one of the people you want taking you to the high sierras since I know the lay of the land well.

When we reached out second ridge it was down hill into this valley the same valley is full of meadows, creeks and one of the forks to the Truckee River. Of course all I could see for miles is snow and more snow this area was buried and I had to decide if we were going to push on as the hike to the lake was 5 miles I did not bring plastic bags for my feet or wore the right gear because I thought due to the mild winter their was no snow here. Well their was not this winter till a very heavy Spring snowfall just before Sue came out.

Sue did not want to push on anymore she decided to call it quits I understand that hiking in the snowy sierras thousands of feet up is not everyone's thing. I also know that heights scare others and we were way the hell up on a peak. We were so high in fact I could see all of Lake Tahoe at one point and probably for a 100 miles beyond that. I generally am not to keen on anyone splitting off from the team because its a risk not just for my team but for the person doing so. Their are allot of Bear with cubs they get aggressive, mountain lions looking for food and again allot of places you can slip fall then get seriously hurt. But after the hard work to get to the second ridge we were almost halfway to the lake so I figured since Sue told us to push on she would just head back down to the truck and she did so that was good.

When we passed by Meiss lake it was completely frozen then again its very shallow nearly the halfway point is the Meiss homestead. This is actually a house on the prairie type of home with even a barn yes its historic and its a good place to break at. They have these tree stumps you can sit down at and enjoy the creek behind it. I smoked a bowl, at some food, smoked a cigar and really enjoyed a nice 45 minutes here just relaxing. I purposely left a banana here to attract any Bigfoot like creatures in the area just a little something I do time to time.

The snow was over 8' high covering the barn door and as the day went on it became softer which means at times we were sinking up to our waste in it. It was okay to hike on in the early morning but the sun started to come out a little. It was turning out to be a great day at least as far as I could tell little did I know what I had gotten myself into but in the end things have a way of working out trust me just read further.

When we left the Meiss homestead their were no trail markers they were buried under snow we were in this massive valley surrounded 360 degrees by cliffs, mountains, peaks and snow for miles. Even though its a fairly open meadow their are thick patches of meadows. I am a survivalist so allot of work we do is with no compass or GPS we go on instinct. Surprisingly I started heading NW through trees we crossed a few creeks including the Truckee River. Crossing the river was the most dangerous part you have to understand that the river is deep and it rushes fast under the ice. You fall through the ice your going to be sucked under it and probably drown.

I had to find the perfect spot to cross and although it held my sons weight because I tested it when I walked over it the ice began to crack so I had to walk on it extremely light footed which is something you learn how to do with years of hiking in the snow. I have allot of experience hiking in the snow afterall I was born in Buffalo NY lol we use to do allot of investigations in extreme weather but being in the high sierras their is nobody that is going to save you so if you fall in that could be your coffin end of story.

As soon as I crossed the river I must had walked another half of mile where we came to this area not even on the trail it was very remote. We were surrounded on four sides by trees and foliage. I must had did about 3 to 4 bigfoot calls which btw I love doing because it lets me know I am alive. But it also sometimes draws in unwanted visitors of course Bigfoot is always welcome but never in my life have I ever dealt with three to four of these creatures at once.

Off in the distance after my bigfoot scream I heard tree banging directly to the north. It then got allot closer and we could hear something big moving towards us. You could hear the snow crunching, heavy breathing, groans, growling and odd vocalizations. Then as the tree banging was within a 150' of us to the east we started hearing it communicate with the creature to the North sometimes both at the same time. I had turned on both of my video cams because I expected bigfoot to come out behind the trees no lie! The creature to the right of us or East was growling and making all sorts of odd sounds. I heard branches snapping and I could tell it was big real big.

Behind us closer to the river we heard more tree banging and something moving in. By this time at least three directions we heard a rock banging on the trees but odd vocalizations were occurring to the east of us from Round Lake which is an area we worked with before. I felt surrounded even a bit out of place because I can deal with one Bigfoot but their had to be at least 3 to 4 of these creatures moving up on us.

The air smelt strange and like I said one of them appeared to have spoken some odd language I cannot make it out but I would assume that one of them was the dominant one and controlled the other two to three in the area. I felt very helpless at the time because we could hear multiple creatures moving in close signally one another and like I said the one was vocalizing to the other ones. It may have told them to back off or maybe it smelled our food we were carrying I really do not know.

Honestly if you want the real truth later on when I started heading south again I actually did find a big track with toe impressions almost 15" so I believe that this was another close encounter and I got closer then ever to these creatures.

I also believe since I have hiked up here many times that these creatures and I have a much deeper connection call it trust maybe they have good intuition but I know they would never hurt my sons and I. I have love for this creature whether it derives from the stars or it is the missing link. I am there to protect them and they must know this because they started backing off and I could hear them heading back into the forest lumbering slowly away. I think its strange that we never seen anything though but then again were dealing with one of the most elusive cryptids on planet Earth!!!

One we crossed the river after our Bigfoot encounter we walked maybe a few hundred clicks NW and ended up right on the shoreline of Showers Lake. The entire lake was frozen it just looked like a big open meadow surrounded by trees. Granted in the summer their are huge granite rocks, islands, pristine water etc not in early Spring though it was just a big open area but it had a nice scenic backdrop.

We stopped for an hour to set up base camp on the lake shore and no I was not going ice skating. The ice here probably would not hold me my kids maybe but still its just not worth dying. Maybe ill come up to the lake eventually again to get some summer photos of the area so you can see what it looks like snow covered and what it looks like when the snow is gone.

My son could not feel his toes lucky for me I do bring allot of supplies in my pack this time I had foot warmers courtesy of my buddy Mike Dijital which still work even years later. I had my son take off his shoes put his feet in the warm grass where their was no snow and the sun actually dried his sneakers and feet up. Then we put the warmers in his shoes so his feet warmed up. Unfortunately for me on my way back to the truck it was me who had gotten ice in my shoes so I did not have any foot warmers so I could not feel three of my toes

I smoked a bowl, ate lunch and drank a beer at the lake shore but we had to go. A major storm was coming into the area when I say major were talking the clouds were only 50' above our heads then all of sudden high winds came through, it starting sleeting, snowing then as we tried to out run it just pure ice cold rain. Trust me I took video of the storm rolling in, photos and documented it because I wanted our viewers to understand this is not Finding Bigfoot this is the real thing. We do not have television producers warming up their vehicles for us or a crew of 20 people to air lift us out of the wilderness if we get caught in a snow storm we have to journey on foot out of that shit so trust me we pulled in triple overtime trying to get away from the storms epicenter. It was so dark the skies that the blue skies and sun completely vanished it almost looked night back in this area and we had five miles of rugged wintry hiking to do.

The funny thing about it is we did manage to escape the storm so when we reached the second ridge I tracked Sue lol. I found her tracks in the snow followed them into the woods and down a forested wash to the road. I knew it was her boot print because earlier when she was hiking I took note of what her boot impressions look like so we basically tracked her to the road and well you cannot be a good cryptozoologist if you do not understand how to track such a creature something we know how to do here.

When we made it to the road the rain, snow and sleet stopped but we were soaked and we were pretty cold. I wore layers my son on the other hand wore a short sleeve because this time of year really can be either very warm or very very cold. It was fine till the storm rolled in but we all despite being cold felt good about coming out on the road. Because now all we had to do was walk a mile to the trail head parking area. I would stop to break again on the road take my shoes off have a bite to eat and then we made it to the parking area where Sue appeared to have been camping out at the restrooms lol. Sue next time just ask for the keys or ask for a two way radio mine have a range of 40 miles and yes they work well in the mountains lol.

The main thing is that everyone was okay the pictures of the storm which surrounded Red Peak I had gotten were really awesome. What I tried to do is go off to the west which it was less steep, less snow and veered away from the incoming storm. We figured walking the road would be easier then trying to climb over Red Peak with the conditions we were dealt with.

This turned out to be an amazing Bigfoot expedition and trust me if you want to be a cryptozoologist you need to make sacrifices. You wont see or hear or find Bigfoot tracks by the side of the road or on a little nature trail. Sometimes you just have to trek over the highest peaks, deepest canyons, along cliffs, over frozen lakes and rivers just to get that one crucial piece of evidence. That is why we call them expeditions because in reality we sometimes end up camping or spending a day or a couple days at one locations trying to gather evidence in this case this was just a day trip but it was 5 miles of rugged wilderness in and 5 miles of rugged wilderness out no roads, trails, shelter etc once your in the Bush your in the Bush! I know Sue says she wants to try to do this next time because she felt this place kicked her ass and ill be the first to admit it will kick your ass if your not use to high elevations, heights, seclusion etc so I try never to let it beat me ill push on because what we do is bigger then you or I here. Our research defines who we are and what we stand for. To find the Bigfoot you have to become like the bigfoot think like him its the truth and its a practice I have followed for years in my research. Thus it has always paid off and at times we get some really great evidence or close encounters with this creature.

In light of things I am glad that we completed a weeks worth of excursions I know Sue had gotten to see places some of you only dream of. I made sure I took her on two adventures in NV and two in CA so she got the best of the whole wild west experience. I tried to mix it up as we did Dutch Flat German Cemetery, Dutch Flat Chinese Cemetery, Dutch Flat, Donner Lake Railroad Tunnels, Grantsville NV, Star City NV and eventually Showers Lake which is supposed to be along the Pacific Crest Trail which we never took because it was all under snow. Lots of offroading went into these trips like I said I spent the entire week nearly driving almost 1000 miles that does not even including the climbing, hiking, investigating etc but we pulled it off and that is what makes this have a happy ending!

I generally put out team photos on my FB and google+ communities first then I put out a rough draft on our reports. Eventually the reports, photos, videos, audio, EVP's, evidence, historical information etc etc get added to our site. Everything within our reports will be put on our website eventually however I have many other previous cases I need to add before we add these locations so bare with me because moving took allot out of me. I did not want to move believe me I had a nice house near the bottom of one of the largest peaks in the sierras and a nice deck. But my new place is nice to I have bike trails, parks, little coffee shops, swimming, gold mining at the river, hiking trails, beautiful large trees, big back yard, wild flowers, nice views and even a fireplace at my new place. Yeah it is more urban but within minutes I can go up into the wilderness and I think Sue realize how close I am to vastness that within minutes we could be up in the middle of nowhere hiking that is the truth. It is very remote once you leave town here and its nothing but you versus the great outdoors!

I also know one thing is for certain it was a week filled with oddities, strangeness, history, adventure, thrills, seclusions and the paranormal. I challenge any of you to come here and do what Sue did to brave the American west with me. You can bank on that ill take you to places even I have never seen before and you will believe because the places we do research at are true gems. I did get all of Sues photos and I am waiting to see what kind of EVP's she has gotten at each location if any. Ill also review my audio from each adventure in case I need to add more into these reports once they hit our website such as what her Ovilus was saying during our adventures and let people decide for themselves if what we encountered was the paranormal.

Anyhow, Saturday rolled around I saved it as a fun day no investigating or adventures just good ole partying up in Virginia City which is one of the best well preserved semi ghost towns in the nation and most haunted. We spent a good portion of Saturday drinking at the saloons Sue and I also went to the shooting range. We went to all the old shops she bought some souvenirs I bought an old pewter sheriff star for my cowboy hat then Sue had surprised me and got one also because every sheriff needs a deputy lol. I helped her pick out a pretty cool hat I am sure she could not stop shopping VC has some of the coolest shirts and merchandise.

Virginia City is so much fun we had dinner at the Delta Saloon also after drinking and visiting the cursed Suicide Table. I wanted to thank Sue for taking Tammy and I out to dinner that philly cheese steak was the bomb.We met someone who was stationed on base in Fallon pretty nice guy and Sue even met a miner who gives tours in the mines below VC. I like Virginia City because I go to each shop leave my business cards and I always meet new people. The beer is awesome especially at the Bucket Of Blood and on a clear day you can see for 200 miles through their big open saloon window which overshadows sugarloaf mountain.

I wish we had gotten to go to VC earlier because we just missed the Easter Parade so downtown was booming. The saloons were full everyone was drinking, smoking and wearing cowboy attire. Some of the women were in long dresses or dressed as if it was the mid 1800's. I do have to say I got a bit tipsy in VC good thing Tammy was driving then again it was nice Tammy came out because she was bummed about missing all our great adventures but she had to work overtime all week long and work on cleaning up the old place. So it was tough not having her come along to help investigate the ghost towns, mines and remote places we hiked at. So for all of us to actually sit down get to know one another better I am sure Sue now knows that I am not all work that I have a fun side to me too. However I always make sure our case files, research and work is done before I go off to live it up. My viewers are very loyal and faithful so the work we do is for them that is why we spent sometimes 18 to 24 hours in one day just working one case its because the content we bring to you is meant to educate the public but also to make you feel that your all part of this journey we are partaking on.

By going to VC it allowed Sue and I to reflect on how crazy of a week it had been. You really do not think about it when you keep going all week long adventuring but by the end of the week I was pretty tired. We went nearly four straight days of nonstop exploring, adventuring and investigating. I guess it kind of allowed us instead to just get to know eachother because when she came we basically went right down to business but no less it was fun we seen and did allot. I did not do any investigating in VC granted we have done many many cases out there it is to bad the school was closed because I had written them and we do have an investigation lined up next month there unfortunately they were locked down Saturday otherwise I could have gotten us in for a ghostly investigation. I do not live far however from VC so sometimes when I do not go there to look for spooks I go there to drink some brews enjoy the music and go shopping. I get drunk go to the shooting range and sometimes you even meet real cowboys. We met a member of some vigilante cowboy group he was dressed with the spurs, boots, gun, vest, cowboy hat etc it was pretty cool! I am sure Sue went home and will not forget any of this experience anytime soon. I am sure it has taken her time to recover I know I am still very exhausted and it has been nearly a week now lol. So yeah we work hard and give a left leg to the work we do.

I am sure Sue really learned allot about how serious and dangerous the work we do here. But I know she feels that her donation was well worth spent. I will work my arse off at what we do here we do it for all of YOU! I never would sell us short because of television, fame, money etc and its ashamed but some paranormal groups do were still old school. Even nearly 14 years later I still wear my rabbit ears hiking and I have not changed a thing if anything over the years we have improved our research, methods, theories and paranormal finds which is something every group needs to do because with experience comes knowledge. Their is always something new to learn and always something new to teach. Most of you really do not know the real ME it takes a long time to feel me out because keep in mind allot of my case files at least half of them been done by me and me only. I have seen so many paranormal oddities in my life all the way from Bigfoot to UFOs to Aliens to the unexplained that I am the soul you want on your side while taking this journey. I know that if the world comes to an end I have a refuge and I can take people with me so that we can be safe so by journeying here out west has a much more deeper purpose. It is so we can develop inner and outer strength but to also find places that we can seek refuge at in case the world goes to hell or UFOs decide tomorrow they are going to invade and plunder our resources! I can assure you that ill be nothing more then a gentlemen and extend the same courtesy I have given Sue we drink, toke, smoke, party, hike, camp, offroad, explore etc that is what it really is about is having fun doing what your doing. Can I promise that every hike will be fun? No because we bust our balls doing what we do you will not find the paranormal on the side of the road you have to seek it out and yeah their are huge stakes involved I almost rolled the Xterra twice lol shit happens right? :)

With that in mind I strongly encourage any of you to come out here that is why we operate our society so others can come camping, fishing, offroading, adventuring etc everybody needs to experience the wild west and of course one of America's most beautiful mountain ranges the high sierras which border Ca and NV. They are even prettier and more vast then the Rockies lots of bigfoot, nature, paranormal hot spots and scenic views here no matter where you venture at. The whole purpose of our society is to get others to work with us and get involved. I do appreciate that Sue came well prepared with her own equipment, supplies and even rented the truck which actually was better then my jeep because it had tires made for hefty offroading so kudos to her. Hopefully I did not scare her away because honesty I am a bit of a handful I take our work very serious and I am a slave driver she will tell you. Ill make you climb on all fours up the side of a mountain and ill make sure that every trip you come close to losing your life that is the true meaning of being an adventurer. If you cannot have some close encounters with the paranormal or a brink with death then you have not lived! No less I want others to think of me like a brother that is what I am to all of you I want others to get something out of our group so coming here to join me is money well worth investing in and that friendship we form will last a lifetime because those adventurers will bring you closer together whether I wear my cape, Santa Beard, bunny ears or a leprechaun hat or whatever I always want to make this fun for everyone here. I am very proud of my sons they made four straight days of hiking an adventuring never complained one time so also shout outs to both Richard and Jarrod. They also took photos during the adventures and were a huge help holding some of our paranormal equipment.

Virginia City has not changed despite that 85 percent of the town burned in the 1800's still many of the original structures are still standing and many of them are even open for business or for tours etc you could spend years just visiting sites up in that region too seriously! They also we realized just opened up the Mustang Ranch Steakhouse which is also owned by the local brothel but I hear the food is good and I am sure the waitresses are dressed with very little on so count the good Lord in lol. Nothing beats celebrating a hard week of paranormal investigating like being in Virginia City walking the old board walks and just being a part of the whole western culture here. People are very friendly, open and everyone seems to just have a great time. Lots of awesome Harley's even people on horses its another world so a great finish to a great week including the blood moon eclipse also! I have no regrets everything we did will look stellar on the website and again it is those memories that will last a life time. This is my home this is who I am and this is my life which I look forward to sharing with all of YOU!

You could spend multiple lifetimes exploring here and guess what? You would NEVER see it all that is how vast and how many great locations their are in this region and some of the places we went were new areas for me they honestly kicked ass! Now that I am settled into my new home I cannot wait to bring you guys a whole series of new places the next few months including many new locations North of Lake Tahoe which I now live closer to so will be working with that area allot this Spring and Summer in regards to our Bigfoot research! Embrace the journey as our motto in our logo states Truth, Adventure and Friendship those are the building blocks behind The Paranormal & Ghost Society no drama no bullshit just journeying into the unknown that is how it should be and that is how it always will be. I PROMISE nothing and I mean NOTHING will compare to the work we have done from April 15th - 19th we will blow your fucking minds and that is putting it nicely enough said!

Namaste,
Lord Rick

This track was found not to far from the lake moments after we heard tree banging, growling, vocaliztions and primate like sounds. Its probably not a fresh track but whatever made it was still in the area. If you pay close attention to it you will see this is a fairly long and wide track especially where the toes are. What I found strange about this track is you have a set of toe impressions further above and below. It is like something stood here setting its food down twice creating multiple toe divots.

This is a second photo of the track which shows you a closer up look of the evidence. Keep in mind the snow in this area is fairly deep you would not want to walk barefoot in it considering there is almost 5 miles of it between Showers Lake and the Carson Pass highway. Id say the track is around 14" I did not want to put the measurement tape to close because I did not want to taint the evidence in anyway.  Something made this track it does not really look like a human foot or a bear therefore its plausible to theorize that this is a genuine primate Sasquatch track we found offbeat in the forest.

The area you see where it is very dark is a storm those dark clouds were touching the tree tops. Just imagine we just left that area trying to stay ahead of the storm. No less did we suffer because even though we were trying to stay out of the darkest area of the storm we still hit patches of snow, sleet and rain on the way back to the truck.

The storm also covered most of the peaks in the area like in this photo you cannot even see the peak because it is currently snowing here. These storms that hit the high sierras are very dangerous people die, freeze and even fall under the threat of avalanches all the time up in this region. We had to get out!

These are MONSTER tracks that is because the snow is very deep and its very loose powder. If you look at some of the team photos you can see some of our tracks in the snow they are five times smaller then whatever made this trek through the snow. These tracks literally go right up towards the high sierras then all of sudden they magically just stop it was very weird. Its possible someone came through here with snow shoes I will not rule that out but between the strides, depth and amount of snow removed from whatever came through here its plausible to say it was very very large.

Not sure what to call this if its a track or just some odd formation in the snow. However what is visible is two and half toes possibly from a left foot stepping down onto the snow keeping its foot and heel off the ground. What has toes and walks barefoot through the snow in the widlerness? I think you know that answer!

Two tracks we found in the ground very hard frozen ground if that. The right one appears to be deep but not as deep as the one made to the left. Its not a hole either I shined my light inside of it and it appears like whatever stepped down had enough fore to physically put their foot straight down into the deep earth and underneath the ground. Which means whatever made this had allot of weight possibly three times that of a normal human being.

I thought this was a bit strange a three toed track like something placed its foot straight into the snow real quickly. It might be nothing at all or it might be something substantial its hard to say. I document anything I find in the sierras just so we can log it with our viewers and for our own research. This area is vast you can go in many directions to various peaks and locations within the Carson Pass.

The hardest part of the hike would be to find the lake since it was under snow and ice. Right now all we were doing is hiking through the national forest surrounded by cliffs and mountains on every side. This was the moment I knew I was not alone I heard a rock hit a tree three times cam did not pick it up so that is why we went out in May to get a better one for the future. I felt watched here something was off something was lurking in the woods watching.

The banging on the trees began to increase and get closer something was in the woods. My son looks to his left which is eastward and to my right. You can see concern on the kids faces because the sounds continue to move in closer to us without any explanation. My camera did not pick them up it only has a close range which is why we picked up a better one recently for this reason.

This is the 3 minutes of terror I was referring to in the epilogue granted the cams did not pick up anything I ran two HD cams at the same time because I literally thought something was going to come out of the woods and get us. I heard some tree banging, quiet vocalizations or what sounded like some unknown language. We were surrounded on the North, South and Eastern side being pushed towards the shores of Showers Lake. Where would we go? What was in the woods snarling, growling and snapping branches? Was it Americas Great Ape? Bigfoot! Unfortunately the cam I was using did not pick up any of the tree banging. I think because its microphone is only made to pick up sound within a small radius however another investigator who was back at the Carson Pass had a similar experience to ours.

This was one of the only dry patches of land that we could warm up at on the lake which resides on the western side of this giant lake basin. Its very easy to lose feeling in your extremities when your using them to climb in this case my son on the first trek in was experiencing loss of feeling in his toes so during our picnic at the lake we used foot warmers and sun dried our socks which worked problem solved! Big thank you to Mike Dijital for donating the hand and foot warmers to our society we really appreciate it.

After our lunch we would continue our journey north around the icy shores of Showers Lake. I did not find much evidence but then again the entire lake is frozen so no access to water which makes sense as to why. I did actually find a set of tracks on a dry patch near the shore that were deep which are in this video but will remain as inconclusive evidence no less as we cannot determine if they were made by man or beast. They were very deep so whatever made them had weight and the right foot was rather large actually much larger then my foot so in theory it is possible they were made by a possible Sasquatch.

This was the best find of the entire expedition a massive wide and 14" barefoot track in the snow. In this clip I take measurements of course high five the kids because we worked hard to find this track no trails. Strangely in 2013 I found a track of the same size not to far from the Meiss Cabins I believe whatever made this was made by the same creature. Sorry the audio is discombobulated in some of this clip the elements were really taking a toll on my cam. This is what you work so hard for exploring, hiking, climbing etc is that one shred of evidence that makes you scratch your head and well even my sons were quite excited about this discovery as you can see in this clip.

The extra mile of our hike came from us having to traverse the Carson Pass when we came out of the forest tracking Sue to the highway. The worst part of it is the speeding vehicles but we had to quickly get away from the storm and get to s much safer location. In this clip I meet up with Sue who is camping out at a public restroom lol and she even mentions hearing the tree banging. Always three steady bangs so I have to theorize that when she was alone in the forest waiting for us maybe she had a close encounter with a primate like creature at some point in time that day. Anyhow I talked about the expedition, we put our gear into the truck and everybody exchanges some high fives. Expedition One to Showers Lake completed!
