Subject: Our Halloween Paranormal Adventure In Nevada City California 10/21 -10-23 2016 Date: 11/1/2016 12:21:04 PM Pacific Daylight Time From: LordOfThyNight@aol.com To: ParanormalBuffalo@yahoogroups.com, ParanormalGhostSociety@googlegroups.com, paranormalghostsociety@yahoogroups.com, ParanormalGhostSocietyConnections@yahoogroups.com, TheParanormalGhostSociety@yahoogroups.com, SupernaturalFlorida@yahoogroups.com, ParanormalCalifornia@yahoogroups.com, ParanormalNevada@yahoogroups.com , Paranormalflorida@yahoogroups.com, sierraparanormal@yahoogroups.com PGSPhantoms@yahoogroups.com Every year I try to bring our viewers something extra special around Halloween. The last few years we did some work up in Virginia City but not this year as this year I wanted to take on Nevada City one of the greatest boom towns in northern California. It was the hydraulic gold mining capital of the west really which led to a city of great wealth, history, prominent individuals and even tales of ghosts. I am a man of culture therefore I do not just seek out the paranormal but I try to be a part of something more. I try to live it therefore its good to experience any of these semi ghost towns by spending time in them. I want to drink the local beer, talk to some folks, walk the alleys, explore locations etc. Therefore we would be taking on a high volume of investigations and explorations as we do every month only this time twice as much due to it being October. The first time I learned about Nevada City was a few years ago when I watched a story on the news which talked about Bigfoot coming right up to the edge of this town. You have to understand that Nevada City resides deep in the Tahoe National Forest at about 3k above sea level. Its a bit remote historic homes, structures, mines etc all reside within the woods. So there is a bit of a creepy vibe here honestly I did not feel as welcome here as I do in Carson or Virginia City. We would take on numerous locations such as the Nevada County Asylum, Nevada City Pioneer Cemetery, St. Canice Catholic Cemetery, Downtown Nevada City, Haunted National Exchange Hotel, Firehouse #1 Museum, Sugarloaf Mountain, Hirschman Pond, Deer Creek, Ghost Town of North Bloomfield, Hiller Tunnel and Malakoff Diggins. We also would fit in between time for Bierwagen’s Donner Trail Fruit Farm which also is a truly amazing place and they have a really nice pumpkin patch for the family. Almost every location we did was in Nevada City except for the pumpkin farm and the ghost town high up in the sierras. I love this area but have only worked with it a few times this year so its new frontier for us. Everything out here has a ghost story or some connection to Bigfoot. With the leaves changing colors it was a nice time of year to get out here and do some exploring to find out if we could seek out the strange. The first day we arrived I rented a cabin in the woods it was quaint allot of old antique furniture and a place where I could crash or do research in quiet. At least I thought that but ill never stay at the Nevada City Inn again which ill get into later in the reports. I was okay with it I guess but there just seemed to be allot of people hanging out for fun in the parking lot. Nevada City honestly is full of hobos, meth heads and transients. I wish I could say otherwise but as an explorer you tend to come across this kind of thing wish I hadn't but I did. The inn and cabin staff was not even around finally when they did arrive at the office they kind of came across as unfriendly. My room had allot of things broken it had a kitchen but the cupboards were busted and the master bedroom door was off its hinges. It was nice to have a cabin in the woods its in a quiet part of town but in reality most of the time when I get a room its just to charge my gear up as well as rest my head for a few hours. I had a porch I could sit on smoke some bud at night maybe drink a brew and relax. So it had its perks but the TV had to be from 1985 and it was not even in the bedroom. After unpacking I spent my first evening driving downtown Nevada City. Everything is so nicely decorated for Halloween lights everywhere, bustling sidewalks, little cafes and shops. Its a pretty little town and trust me folks do what I did walk it and you will feel as if you entered a time machine. I was not sure what id do our first night since it was getting dark and we arrived in the evening. But I did stop at the Stonehouse Brewery to try to attempt an investigation only to find out they were closed also renovating. The brewery has a tragic tale of over 40 miners who died in an explosion in the tunnels beneath it. Yes its one of the most haunted breweries on the west coast. Maybe someday ill return here and talk the owner into giving me access into the tunnels. I generally can get access to quite a few places other people cant trust me. But no less we spent sometime walking around the brewery and enjoying its history. Its just this massive stone building that greets downtown. I really wanted some ales and to eat here so it was a let down but what can you do? We decided to go eat a hearty meal at Lumberjacks Restaurant. I ate here before but at a different one up near Susanville so we thought what the hell why not since they give you large proportions. I had a wonderful savory pot roast dinner, mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, clam chowder and a fresh hot load of baked bread. I have to say it was a decent meal wish they gave me more pot roast but I had eaten enough that I knew if I died in that asylum in the morning id die at least having one decent last meal lol. I did stop after dinner at St. Canice Cemetery I had no idea that up on the hill next to it was the old pioneer cemetery as it was to dark out to even see anything. This is a creepy little cemetery at night allot of Masonic Graves and tall monuments to honor the dearly departed. I could not wait to see more during the day. I was excited I mean afterall I waited nearly four years to come to Nevada City so to be able to stand in the middle of its enriched history was very exciting for me. We would turn in early we had to get up before the sunrise so we could take on the Nevada County Asylum. We had a long day ahead of us with a mix of really great projects that have years of ghost stories. I could not wait to delve into some of the cities most relished historic sites. What would we find? Where would we go? What would we do? Nevada County Asylum This asylum gets a 10 out of 10 for creepiness as it sits on a hill in the woods all 34 thousand square feet of it. Personally I never knew this place existed up until the past year. Then I begin to do research on the location and found out allot of the locals had some pretty far out ghost stories here. The building is very haunted one of the oldest asylums in the west perhaps one of the only ones standing as well. The asylum came to be during the gold rush in 1860 where over the years the county kept adding on new wards. Of course it was not always an asylum it also was a hospital, poor house, welfare office, police training facility, prison, clinic and even the city morgue. Just a few years ago the place sat untouched until they put quite a few houses in the area surrounding it. Lets just say this has caused some of the locals to constantly watch the place so that if any explorer even walks around the place the cops get called trust me I know lol. You are allowed to walk around the property but if your caught inside they will put you in jail. Some things are worth the risk in my opinion but just know the place is alarmed, watched and the cops patrol it on the hour. There also is cameras in the main building because I followed the wire system. I guess over the years this has been the site of allot of cults, animal sacrifices, druggies, fires and crime so I get it I really do. Besides the fact that the mold, lead and asbestos is so bad here that its not even safe to be inside. I however had an opportunity to spend sometime inside what did you guys expect I am Lord Rick my job is to get you guys the story! It was a very dismal morning sun was not out kind of cloudy perhaps some fog. Even that early in the morning the locals are freaking nosy as hell. Personally my view is if you do not want folks checking out the asylum then do not buy a house next to it or have one built there sheesh. This is a historic relic because its an asylum that dates back to the times where miners were admitted. Its a dark place though in the late 1800's in just three year time span over 43 people died in this hospital and most were just buried in unmarked graves in the woods that surround this place. Also a double homicide occurred here when in 2001 a man who could not see his doctor killed two hospital staff here which led to Laura's Law. Which is widely used today in the mental healthcare system. All the windows on the asylum are boarded however some of the windows off the top floor are missing. So its VERY dark inside and a maze of what seems to be in my opinion endless tunnels. My family and I we walked around the entire asylum there are some courtyards outside that are rather creepy with tall brush. Their are also some condors between the attached buildings. When we came out of one we came out to this open area where we found a mutilated deer. This is not the first time I heard about this kind of thing but based on studying the bones I am not sure any predator brought it down. The entire deer was laid completely out flat while the head was missing and near by was a half of a bloody rib cage. It was a bit troublesome no less as with mountain lions you will find scattered remnants but this was not the case. It looked like someone laid out the deer flat then sacrificed it! Another thing that occurred is near an overgrown stairwell which runs along the side of this area you can access the roof at I asked if anything is there with us. Immediately something hit a piece of metal it sounded like something stepped down onto some debris. This is not uncommon here people here banging from within the asylum and other noises on the property. There use to be crosses not far from here I guess over a year ago someone took them all. There appears to be three to four buildings all connect by concourses which are on the second floor. You kind of get a feeling here your being watched especially by the upper windows. Many of the walls are spray painted some with evil depictions while down one corridor I found some alien graffiti. Ivy grows on the walls everywhere and so does the brush. There are allot of large trees also surrounding the buildings especially in the various courtyards. The leaves were changing colors which made the asylum seem more pleasant then what it actually was. A cop patrolling the asylum did stop us to ask what we were doing. I believe a neighbor called it was very early in the morning but a guy was outside doing work on his car and kept watching us. Like I said people have no lives its evident that the asylum is one of the top historic sites in Nevada City so people are going to visit it. As a matter in fact when I left the asylum a guy pulled up set up his tripod to take a photo of the front of the building. Its not uncommon for this place to get a few visitors a day as the Hew Building is historic in every way including the patients who once were committed here. The administration building is a very nice piece of architecture with its giant columns and steps in the front. That also is where the murders took place therefore its a fortress. Its unfortunately that we live in a country who has a need to control everyone and everything. If I want to breath the stale air here that should be my right. The thing is that the place is about to be demolished possibly therefore I was just happy to try to get photos of the place, run some EMF Gauss and get some EVP. Their appears to be three hospital like buildings which have three stories and yes there is a basement with creepy tunnels I know. Part of the basement floor is actually dirt I remember spending sometime down there and seeing this one small concrete room down there which I found a bit disturbing sure if this was solitary confinement from when the facility was used as a prison. Just like any hospital this one has it all gym, kitchen, patient rooms, parlor, cafeteria etc etc. There is a big building on the back side which looks like a gymnasium kind of. We found remnants of an old fountain while other places the stairs were just crumbling and fire escapes were rusting away. The asylum is deplorable it really is I mean the place was open 15 years ago actually 12 when it closed its doors entirely yet it looks like a scene from The Walking Dead no lie! Its obvious based on what I found that transients have at one time lived here and that others have come to the asylum to do there drugs. I however was there for two things one ghosts the other its enriched history. Next to the asylum is a maintenance garage which someone was using to sell chicken coops out of or something to that effect. I am sure at one time the garage had tools in it so that if anything broke down at the hospital it could be remedied. I read that there were three female wards, four male wards, a ward for those who committed themselves and a staff quarters. I would eventually venture inside the asylum my family was not involved with the project other then to spectate from the outside. There is not to many investigators who have ever done an asylum by themselves so I would have my hands full literally trying to hold the night vision cam, camera, EVP recorder, EMF detector and my flashlight. It was a very daunting task lets just leave it that.Do not go inside do not copy me and if you do decide to go know that I have made you aware of the risk. I
only had time to explore one building out of the three the place is a
maze. If you are not a good explorer you will get lost here and end up
going in circles. There are doctor offices, patient rooms, corridors or
rather halls with rooms on each side, multiple stairwells and even big
open areas which may have been used for patient recreation. I wish I
had more time I tried so hard to find the morgue did not even see the
admin building or the gym. But what I did find will be a very nice
addition on our website to give our viewers a taste of this haunting
location. I
would say out of the 34,000 square feet I probably only see 12,000 of
the facility. If you think the outside is creepy the inside is beyond
eerie. I mean light fixtures are just hanging on wires, mirrors are
broke, furniture is tipped on its side, graffiti everywhere including
this one stairwell that has so much red spray paint that the artist
tried to make it look like a bloody murder scene. One area was a
kitchen the other area was a small cafeteria perhaps for the employees
with a nice fireplace. I found a doctors office but I also found a
series of rooms which led to other parts of the asylum. Its very
strange in here you might enter one room and found out that room has
two to three more doors you can enter its just a maze period! I
heard that the basement had a pretty cool boiler room I never found the
boiler room but I did find a series of passages that I took in the
basement which led me to a second stairwell to another part of the
building I was in. Some of the flooring in the basement is dirt the
ceilings are real low and allot of twist n turns. The one area of the
basement had to be close to the morgue and boiler room I just could not
find it but found a bunch of pipes and gadgets for heating. Its to bad
I did not find the morgue that was one of my goals if I had more time
maybe. But this is not a place you want to spend to much time at the
locals, cops and meth heads have all day long to put a damper in your
investigation trust me folks. There
was a few doors closed here that I had to open to get to new areas. I
only made it to the second floor the third floor probably has more
light with its many broken windows. But the first two floors and
basement are about as dark as night. Their is also graffiti warning
people not to go in certain places trying to scare others away I see it
all the time. The rooms and halls are laced with the old steam pipe
heaters despite this location closed 13 to 15 years ago. You could feel
out cold spots not so much in the basement but some of the patient
rooms its quite possible I never was alone here period! There
is this one area that has this wheelchair ramp inside that goes for
three stories high its pretty cool. When I took it I ended up crossing
the concourse that enters the main admin building. I probably could
have continued on but my ETA was up therefore I had to wrap up the
investigation for numerous reasons. There is a room at the end of the
concourse which seems to branch out to other halls and areas. I was
standing in this big open room not sure if I should get greedy continue
onward or be happy with the work that I did do here. I dropped my
recorder then went to pick it up getting ready to take a photo when all
of sudden I heard this heavy man breathing as it kept getting closer. I
then heard gasping like someone was suffocating or dying it was pretty
creepy as I kept spinning in circles looking all around me. I
was alone understaffed I mean I tried to get others in on this
everybody bailed nobody wants to help me do this place so I was all
alone in the middle of a big haunting asylum. I think more or less the
asylum is foreboding I did not run but at the same time I was not even
close to getting out of this place and here is this ugly sound getting
closer to me by the second. I at one point made a wrong turn ended up
back in this one room and thought oh great how am I going to find my
way out. I did though it was not easy trust me because there are halls,
rooms, passages and many curved halls everywhere. More or less it all
starts to look the same! When
I left this place I felt relief like a great burden had been lifted. I
did do some night vision filming, photography and some EVP sessions. I
would LOVE to go back here if anybody up in Nevada City can show me
more around inside. If someone is interested in taking me or joining up
for a second investigation let me know this asylum is only a couple
hours from where I live. However, I feel that the place probably will
be demolished soon because the past few years explorers are ruining it
for everyone else starting fires, partying on the property etc which has made the police and locals all the more paranoid. All
in all my goal was to experience something paranormal here that I could
physically tell the world yeah this place is haunted and be sure of it.
Some places I go lack good paranormal activity but believe me when I
say this not here this asylum is dead haunted. Maybe it was because I
was alone but I am not greedy I really went deep inside and completed
most of my goals here. I had gotten to explore the basement tunnels,
see a doctors office, day room, prisoner cell, patient rooms, kitchen
and elaborate stairwells. I wish I found a few other places within the
asylum but my time here was limited due to my family and other plans. I
wanted to come back at night it just never happened and as I told my
family I did not need to because this location is haunted even during
the day trust me on that it is not to mention the air is not good so
you have to wear a mask which I did not put on because I am stubborn
like that! When
I left the asylum a beautiful deer walked right out in front of me
nature here is re consuming this property. There are deer walking
around and if you look hard enough even some flowers. Its a fascinating
piece of wild western history it sort of also has a Spanish
architecture look with the tiled roofing etc. I left with the rush of a
lifetime here it was one of the ghost hunts we did in a long time but a
good urban exploration. I mean people do not realize it but the entire
property is kind of one big graveyard as the patients were all buried
around the buildings. With
there being so many uses in the past for the building you can clearly
see older parts of it as well as newly renovated areas. Therefore your
dealing with a site that has seen allot of history and a variety of
people. I am not sure this was a nice place always at least that was
the impression I had gotten. Before there were houses newly built this
place was very secluded and remote. Nevada City wanted the asylum on
the outskirts of town to separate the insane from the rest of society.
Some people may have spent most of there lives in a small little room
which offered so very little. I can imagine that some of that pent up
negativity energy still remains on this gloomy hill. The
one thing I did find that was strange besides the mutilation is that I
found two separate pairs of shoes one was work boots the other appeared
to be a woman's shoe. I hate finding this kind of thing because
sometimes that turns out to be a victim or someone who may have went
into a place only to vanish. I do my best work alone but its also very
dangerous. Its easy to fall on stairs here be left for days with a
concussion or something I mean anything can happen the same goes for
just walking onto your front porch. But you have to wonder why someone
would leave there shoes behind that they originally came in with! Its
hard to know all the secrets this place holds but at one time they
almost turned the place into a nursing home, condos and it
teetered on being demolished. So as of now the asylum sits in
limbo awaiting its next brave adventurer. Its ashamed that most asylums
in America have been demolished are so deplorable that the police spend
there entire day patrolling such locations instead of focusing on
bigger issues like the meth heads or real crime. After
having my ghost rush for this October we moved onto the old
Nevada City Pioneer Graveyard. Subject: Our Halloween Paranormal Adventure In Nevada City California 10/21 -10-23 2016 Date: 11/1/2016 12:21:04 PM Pacific Daylight Time From: LordOfThyNight@aol.com
To: ParanormalBuffalo@yahoogroups.com, ParanormalGhostSociety@googlegroups.com, paranormalghostsociety@yahoogroups.com,ParanormalGhostSocietyConnections@yahoogroups.com, TheParanormalGhostSociety@yahoogroups.com, SupernaturalFlorida@yahoogroups.com, ParanormalCalifornia@yahoogroups.com, ParanormalNevada@yahoogroups.com, Paranormalflorida@yahoogroups.com, sierraparanormal@yahoogroups.com, PGSPhantoms@yahoogroups.com My Investigation and Exploration Of The Nevada County Old Hospital One of my first major investigations I wanted to do in Nevada City would be the Nevada County OId Hospital or rather asylum for the insane. Its not often I get to check out the grounds of an old hospital its just more common back east not here on the west coast. This is probably one of the oldest last asylums to stand here out west to be honest with you of this magnitude at least since the grounds do hold a series of different wards, buildings and structures. So its a very large place and I could not wait to explore. Sure a part of it would be ghost hunting but most of it is just good old fashioned urban exploration just outside the city limits nestled in the woods. I slept good at the cabin rental site its cozy and the asylum is just up the road. I did not do much the night before but roam around Nevada City a little and drove to the cemetery at night. I drove past this place to the night before so I was excited to get exploring. When I arrived I was just amazed vines growing all over, run down buildings, leaves changing colors on all the trees, woods everywhere and everything was just overgrown. I guess you could say their was to much to explore so overwhelming when you visit locations like these. I pulled on up near the admin building probably not the best idea the place is patrolled constantly by the police. You are allowed to walk around though but still at one time they were using it for training grounds. My guess is that its not safe due to asbestos that is how most buildings like this are and this one was built back in the middle of the 1800s so its an old place. Their is courtyards, wards, various buildings and even a concourse you can walk or drive under. That concourse connects the main building with the admin building if you were to explore it all. It has a very haunting feel there is a few ramps, stairwells and tunnels. But the entire building is boarded up or has steel doors that are welded shut. Over the years to many people came here to do vandalism and you can tell. The grass grows real high there is broken beer bottles and places where someone may have had a small fire etc. I heard that there is cult activity in the area like rituals, sacrifices etc and it was on my mind a little especially after I came across a deer carcass. My guess is that a mountain lion brought the small deer something fawn sized a few months old. I did see the skull and one part had all four legs spread out with hooves. There also was the abdomen or torso then there was some other parts nearby scattered in a triangle formation. I also seen some blood on the ground and signs people had been partying here also. See this is surrounded by woods and lower end mountains of the Sierras so you have your coyotes, bear and mountain lions. They all are predators of the deer in the area this one probably was young which meant and easy kill for whatever predator did this. But even as I walk away I have to think about how some locations like these have people who do kill small animals but usually its goats or dogs not deer so my conclusion was a mountain lion if coyotes did it there would have been smaller body parts all over the place. No less it does sit in the back of your head as your roaming around about what really happened here so close to one of the buildings on site. Because you know in that tall grass that predator is still out their lurking around! I sent a long time walk the grounds snapping photos I did hear some sort of screaming or pounding in one of the buildings it was creepy. This place is locked up so you know as well as I do its probably not any of the living doing this besides the place is patrolled if you want to bang on walls people are going to hear it. This is a really haunting place and the skies were sort of overcast to it just was a perfect October morning and a little crisp but comfortable. I am very comfortable with the work I do when you do this shit for years upon years you get to a point where this is what you want to do and where you want to be. My research is important even if it will take years for people to see it down the road it exist because I go and I do the necessary field work. This place one day will either be torn down or someone may revamp it for something different like a hotel or condos etc. But its changed hands plenty and used for various things. Now it sits in serious decay but its historic because its a hospital that dates back to Nevada Cities early beginnings. So I am huge on history which is why I enjoyed talking about it on film for all of you. A cop car pulled through and the officer talked to us briefly nothing major and after he patrolled the area he left. I did not see him again nor did he come back but like I said the place is watched does not mean kids do not come up here to party I mean its a huge place in the woods and you cant drive everywhere on these grounds so if someone wanted to drink booze behind the place which seems to be a regular occurrence then they are going to do it its how sites like these area even in such a quaint bustling little town in the mountains like Nevada City. I was able to explore most of the main building, concourse area, one of the hospital wards and the basement which is haunted by a ghost according to local lore. I had gotten to see plenty during my small walk around such a hall with hospital rooms each with a steel door and small little window on them. There was recreation rooms, offices, open areas, halls and some areas was just very dilapidated so I took photos of these locations. What I regret is not filming any of these places reason being is I had my meter, EVP recorder, light and camera so filming was just to difficult to do so I decided inside to take photos of my inner finds. The basement was creepy a bunch of pipes, dirt floors throughout and I even found a few rooms. The rooms had a door on them but the rooms had dirt flooring and they were very small. I noticed next to the door there was a opening with bars across it probably used to supervise the patients or even criminally insane down here. But I thought how creepy would it be that your in a dingy dark basement and a patient reaches through the bars at you lunging with there arms grabbing onto you. I mean honestly it was kind of creepy looked like maybe there was a boarded up window high up in the room which means the basement did have windows at ground level but still I was underground and this was the darkest part of my exploration. There was a room with a fire place then I seen a kitchen maybe a cafeteria also and small halls could have been doctors offices while other ones with numbers on the doors were strictly for patients. Their is allot of spray paint and graffiti throughout the halls. Some areas the ceiling was coming down or panels other areas had red paint through on the walls and railings like the white stairwell found within. Someone took red paint and just draped everything like it to make it look like blood you could tell how it was splashed onto the walls. Maybe someone just thought it would look creepier. There is an area with a massive ramp that goes into another ward or area. This area seems to be very hospital like just halls with patient rooms. Near this area or concourse something came up behind me and it started to breath really deep and heavy. It just kept breathing over and over very close by. It was after I went into one of the patient rooms exited and I was busy with my equipment and trying to organize things. So as I stood still doing so is when I heard behind me in front of a patient room what sounded like a man breathing fast, deep and behind me. I did not stay much longer after this only because I had been gone about a half hour maybe more you lose track of time when your exploring. The place is dark inside its completely boarded up that includes all windows and doors. So its always night time in this place. Its hard to know what rooms were what here this was a hospital, jail and even a mental asylum. Some people spent all their time in those rooms other places outside the room may have been offices, rec rooms, break rooms, medical examination rooms etc. People died here they were buried on the grounds in potters graves or at the local cemetery close by. The place is just eerie inside but its so quiet you can hear a pin drop so imagine me going into a place like this alone. Without any other people with me inside it allows me to listen, investigate and weed out other humans like with the hardcore breathing. I believe the place is haunted I had two incidents that were real for me so I succeeded in being able to declare the hospital a designated haunted place maybe the top ten in California. See I wanted to go back film inside more and it never happened I had gotten involved with other ghost towns and projects. But it only took me one time roaming its halls to figure out I was not alone here that the place has its ghosts and paranormal happenings. If that does not spook you the carcass shredded to pieces being disemboweled should get your blood pumping as you walk around the main building. When I had left the building and had gotten back outside I felt relief the place was stuffy, dark and sad especially knowing that some people were kept in a basement that had to be depressing with dirt flooring by the way. I had mixed feelings about this place but there was some light near a tree changing fall colors was a deer that was grazing as it studied me looking up a few times so I was able to take some good photos of it. So most likely the carcass was a fawn and this may have been a doe or maybe the mother of her deceased baby so hard to know she might be looking for her fawn. I spent a couple hours at this location my son and I goofed with wearing hockey mask and all that fun stuff me running around like a werewolf with my werewolf mask on. I had a good time here it cant be all serious you have to laugh a little, play some and make some fun for yourself. Because this is a depressing place and its in decay which for an urbexer like me is gold but not all locals see it that way. They have build homes in the area and locals get sick of people coming up here. But its a fascinating location and its very haunted so it attracts people. Just that most do not understand that the history is what we should respect because their is so very few places like the Nevada County Hospital. After filming, taking photos, reading and EVPs I moved on back into town and nearby to visit two historical cemeteries. The people buried at them at one time did have ties to this hospital. Because even if the insane were held here it was also used for medical treatment to so not every ward was for the insane some may have just been rooms for people who had medical issues. So this was a very amazing site and I have no regrets coming up here it was worth more then seeing it in some photos that is for sure just wow awesome location. But its a depressing place too and while some might come here to party I came here to seek out its ghosts and I accomplished that! Lord Rick PGS Founder |

| As you can see the carcass was spread out in three areas the bottom photo shows them in a triangle the body parts with the main part being the rib cage and skull. Another pile is the legs and another I cant make out other then more skin and fur belonging to the fawn. Most likely a bear, mountain lion or coyote took it down. I noticed some blood on the ground the carcass was pretty freshly eaten in fact id say the predator that did this probably was close by. Its a heavily forested area so deer graze on the plant life growing around the hospital. |

| This was a patient room in the basement and it had a dirt floor not sure if the flooring was removed but if it was not then this room had to be hellish to spend time with. The basement is supposed to be haunted by a ghosts I think the janitor and if you leave this room their is a bunch of maze like tunnels with pipes everywhere. It was not a friendly room to sit in I am sure being in a dungy dark basement more dungeon like then anything a highlight of my exploration alone in the facility! |
