When we arrive at Iron Mtn in April of 2012 we find that the snow here in some places is at least 7' deep with drifts even higher. Keep in mind that this is just a mild winter so due to this fact may have led to the demise of this winter resort. Today it is a sno-park mainly for snowmobiles and that is the trail we are taking through the woods which will take us on into the abandoned resort.	This giant open area at one time was filled with skiers and snowboards from all over the country. Today all that remains are a few winter enthusiast and allot of abandoned structures that are remaining just waiting to be exposed to the world. Its a very secluded area nothing but snow capped mountains from every angle.

We start our exploration these pillars which lead us into the lower floors of the lodge itself. From what I can observe the lodge is not only buried under snow but its in very bad condition so we do have to watch ourselves as my feet crunch under glass, metal and wood with rusty nails.	The lodge looks as if hell has hit it as snow is pouring in through the windows. Every hall, room and area inside is in disrepair. The place has a very eerie feeling as in this clip I give our viewers a fairly thorough walk through of what the downstairs part of the lodge looks like which has shower rooms, bathrooms and small rooms which contained bunks at one time for its visitors.

The more I wander the upstairs of the lodge the more it has a similar appearance of Bates Motel in Psycho. Many of the upstairs rooms to the lodge are much larger each with a den, bedroom and bathroom. Allot of the rooms contain cheesy old fashioned wallpaper and around every corner remains a surprise.	This building served as perhaps the lobby or the main office where you would check on in at the lodge. Their is the main desk, two bathrooms then your administrative office. As you can see and hear their are many snow mobiles in the area many of them were curious as to what I was doing filming here but I came to later find out that allot of the locals at one time or another had a run at this place ever since its abandonment 15 years ago.

It did not take long to find out the hazards that surround the lodge which includes black ice and deplorable stairwells. I take a pretty big fall but decide to keep the cameras rolling continuing up the stairs. Who is that silly rabbit? Anyhow this building appears to be where the employees stored their personal things as each cubicle had a name on it.	This is the maintenance building buried in snow alive which contains a water tank and room that was used to power the resort. Not to far away is the Ski Run which had about 3 to 4 separate lifts that would take you from the bottom to the top. Below me at one time this giant valley was full of skiers and snowboarders.

The video you are viewing is a ski lift tower that I am standing in. One of the kids riding a snowmobile told me if I climbed up into here I could get some great scenic shots. What he didn't tell me is that all the flooring in the tower was just a bunch of loose wood planks not even nailed down. What these means is if the boards broke or shifted I could fall 25' to my death perhaps this should be in the comedy category. I do however make it as I carefully film myself walking the plank of death!	This is either a guest or caretakers house which has an upstairs. The entire home has been gutted but at one time it was a nice cozy little home overlooking the sierras. You can see the damage and hazards found inside. Its not a pretty site but for an exploration it does the job as we are starting to near the end of our journey.

Towards the interview Tammy takes the cam and interviews me about the lodge. I am so wired on salt water taffy and caffeine if you cannot tell lol. This interview took place in another guest house or cabin not to far away from the lounge/lobby building. The room we did the interview in contained a child's blanket and hairbrush some very strange finds considering the condition of the structures on site.	This is a nice 360 degree video that is filmed of the lodge and other nearby structures as we are heading on out for our long hike back to the truck. It is obvious their were other structures on the property that either are buried under snow or collapsed. We look forward to returning to this location at night when the snow is melted state tuned coming to you summer of 2012!

I wanted to give everyone a respectable clip of what a room in the lodge appears like. Like this one most of the rooms are full of booze, mats where squatters slept and even can goods. This particular room has a table the squatters constructed leaving marijuana on the table along with many bottles of Mikes hard lemonade. This is the reality of exploring an abandonment like this destruction in a place people treat like the love shack!	In this clip we are giving our viewers a perspective of how the lodge appears at night. Anybody or anything could hide in this place as darkness pours in from every window. After a small tour of the corridor and a few rooms I hand off the camera so I can talk a bit more about this place and show off its hell like appearances.

This area is full of broken glass as it was the public showers and bathrooms. It was shared by all the guest downstairs who bunked in the lower rooms. The second story rooms had their own showers. At night no light pours into the shower room giving it a very spooky atmosphere as we pass by each shower which eventually takes us into another section of the lodge.
