The Death Of America’s Innocent Unarmed Black Citizens Signifies The Downfall Of The Honorable Badge

We live in a society where racism, hate, fear, violence and ignorance have led our police departments down a dark path. An officers duty is to protect and serve it is why ever man and woman in America pays taxes. It is so that these officers have a salary to support their families and themselves for providing the public with some level of safety. The same citizens who pay such taxes end up being killed in the end for doing so unjustly here in America.

Sadly their are more bad cops in America then good cops while I have spent my life dealing with both I know that every time a black man or woman gets pulled over for as something as simple as a broken tail light could be a death penalty for them even if they are innocent we live in a society where some officers have taken on the role of judge, jury and yes even the executioner. At least 25 percent of officers say their fellow officers harass others due to race. Which in turn lead to thousands of cases per year of police brutality, violence and in some cases the killing of innocents. As a matter in fact 15 percent of fatalities are caused by excessive force or misconduct and 24 percent of officers reported for misconduct used excessive unnecessary force. The reality is only 1 officer out of a 1000 who commit excessive force or misconduct are actually held accountable.

I remember growing up in a small suburb of Buffalo NY as a kid went to an all white school. Most of the landlords refused to rent to anyone of color. Anytime a black man came into the neighborhood even if it was just to visit his girlfriend you would read stories in the news how the Cheektowaga police used excessive force and ended up having to pay out millions of dollars. When the police fail to do an exemplary job by standing behind the badge of courage it does not cost them but it cost us. Not just in lives but also our hard earned tax dollars that we pay so that we can roam society with a sense of security that an officer is sworn to protect us from the evils of mankind.

Lets face it anyone can be a police officer that includes you or me. But what if that officer is simply not fit for the job psychologically or unethical .Their is no test in the world that can measure if you are suitable to protect the law or even others. Fear creates hate therefore hate often leads to tragedy more importantly it also leads to a sworn officer to not do his job properly. How many times do some of you go through a drive through at a fast food restaurant and they simply do not fill the order properly? Go into a bank and the teller miscounts the money? I get it people make mistakes and so does law enforcement. While their are laws telling you or I what we can or cannot do what kind of laws are implemented for police officers who unlawfully kill an innocent American Citizen?

While race often plays a part in police killing innocent citizens it really is not a black nor a white issue. The issue is were not doing enough to screen police officers who sometimes only want that badge because it is a free ticket for them to do what they want. I see it all the time in my small town where an officer purposely turns on his lights and goes through a red light because he does not feel like waiting for that light to turn. Just as I seen the police at times go thirty over the speed limit or illegally park on the street. While if you or I did that we would be in the doghouse but who will monitor if the police are doing there jobs and by then if they do another innocent black man or woman in America is killed therefore it is to late.

We can never replace the innocent lives taken by police officers no matter if you wear or a badge or you do not wear one murder is murder, negligence is negligence, violence is violence and the motto should be all lives matter in America. If you or I worked for any employer and we failed to do our job we would be fired correct? Reprimanded correct? In some cases held legally responsible for example if you worked in a nursing home and you were negligent leading up to someone’s death you might even be charged with manslaughter. However we live in a nation that a badge is also a ticket to be above the law and chances are if you are a dirty cop it is our tax dollars that are going to pay your pension or continue to employ you.

While some police offers may have made a poor decision perhaps they made a mistake while on the field their are no room for errors when the life of another human being is in your hands. Police misconduct in America is on the rise this is why black men and women in America are afraid to flag down an officer for help. This is why others may decide to flee because they do not respect our police officers. How can you respect law enforcement when behind that badge is not a saint but a man. All men make mistakes nobody is perfect but when you take a sworn oath to protect your nations citizens you expect no less then perfection from someone carrying a gun, taser and someone who job is to follow the law.

If people in America fail at their jobs for example we had a school teacher for years abusing kids when I was eight years old. Nobody would do a thing about it not the principal, school board nor the law. Just like many of the cops who often kill innocent men in American particularly black men are often praised for doing so and society tends to find every excuse as to why this keeps happening. They are praised the moment they are put on a pedestal by a judge or even the department who might back them up only because they carry a badge. What they fail to forget is that if the unlawful death was preventable and the officer acted out of negligence, fear, hate or simply power that everyone involved is at fault. We can no longer ignore the growing problem nor can we feel sorry for an officer who failed to uphold the law or who thought he was above it.

We live in a barbaric world you have gangs shooting gangs, officers shooting innocent people, rape, famine, disease, murderers, thieves and war. Not much has changed in thousands of years one would think with all the technology mankind has brought forth in 2017 that we would be socially past racism, violence and flawless productive members in society. Without checks and balances it does not matter who you are or what your career is the same laws apply to everyone and that should include law enforcement. A badge does not give you the right to kill, physically abuse, tase, smack, run over others, speed, lie, plant evidence, break the law or mistreat others. If you are an officer you are not a saint, god, judge, jury nor executioner. You are simply a man who was hired on to perform a duty and allot of times those police officers are not fit for carrying a badge much less like the politicians in Washington who are not fit for office.

While some may think that I am anti police based on this article I want others to know that this is simply not the case. I expect officers to abide by the laws and hold them to the highest of standards. After all if you represent the law you are expected to follow it. While I may not be black over the years I been a victim of police mishaps.

For example one time five police officers pulled me over on a dark road in Florida. I had an expired licence from NY but my licence in FL was valid but the officer seen it then decided to arrest me. I had a small traffic ticket up in NY no big deal as a matter in fact if I did not carry that license they said they could not charge me with driving on a suspended license. Technically I was not since I was driving in Florida with a valid Florida Drivers Licence. The cops purposely put the cuffs on very tight, threw my kid and I in the back of a cop car. They threw everything that was in my vehicle onto the ground while two officers proceeded to sit in the back seat eating ho hos smearing chocolate everywhere. Then they dropped me off in the swamps and told me good luck with your ticket leaving me to fend for myself.

Another incident that occurred was when I lived in Cheektowaga NY a suburb of Buffalo NY. I was about 23 years old and I had taken in this girl who was being raped by her father and her brothers. I have always had a heart of gold trying to do the right thing by helping others. At times that bit me in the rear. Well the woman was 19 years old I know because I seen her birth certificate and ID. She lived with me for about a month then one day the entire police department was busting down my door. The parents were concerned as a matter in fact they lied stating she was 16 years old when in fact they lied to law enforcement. The police took my computer, blankets, ransacked my entire home and they did not have a search warrant. When I went to court it turned out that the parents lied yet despite she was 19 years of age they tried to still charge me with statutory rape.

Law enforcement failed to do there jobs they had no warrant and they charged me with a crime that was nonexistent. Despite the fact that the parents lied to the law they were not charged but I was. I won my case but spent months of court hearings, money, time and they held onto my computer for months before I ever got it back. This was a failure on the police department failing to do their jobs they charged me with statuary rape for a woman who was of legal age. Should those officers have lost there badge? You bet! This was my life that they nearly taken away from me imagine how many black men and women in America lose their lives due to a negligent officer who simply fails to abide by the law and at best many officers do not know the law.

Have you ever gotten a ticket or been charged with something and that officer does not know the statute or what to charge you with. They sometimes spent a half hour looking through their books trying to find something they can stick you with that in itself is a travesty. It is apparent that in America were not doing enough to train police officers because honestly were so short of having them that some departments will stick anybody in the position even if you have anger issues or your a drunk does not matter because by the end of the day it is a job. It should be more then a job but rather a position that society can admire perhaps honor but where is the respect for law enforcement when they may decide to take your life at anytime?

I remember once my vehicle broke down it happens to all of us. Well a Sheriff pulls up along side of me with his lights on. I told him hey man my car broke down trying to use a phone to have it towed. The officer slammed on the hood of his car then ran my ID. I did not commit any crime but he told me he did not like how I looked or dressed. As a matter in fact he was a Hispanic Cop and I was the minority because it was obvious he put me on that car because he stereotyped me. No officer should have the right to slam any man on a car unless he has committed some sort of crime. But if your car breaking down is a crime then their simply is no hope for law enforcement to serve its citizens. Discrimination and mistreatment is prevalent in every city in America its not about skin color it is about law enforcement holding to much power which has led to protest. When the killing and police brutality stops so will the protest. Sadly their is enough real crime in America that the police should not be slamming men like me on cop cars because our vehicle broke down. In simple terms while police officers are busy harassing men like you or me what they should be doing is stopping criminals but we live in a society that if you do not carry a badge in most officers eyes you are unlawful and must be breaking the law.

I know that my words can never save all the innocent lives taken by police officers. Their is nothing I can do to change what has been done. However, what I can do is exercise my freedom of speech to make others more self aware of what is happening in America and to raise these issues so that we as a society can create a movement. My hope is that one day live in a country that police are actually getting the bad guys and not killing the good guys. Sadly even good cops are murdered because they often pay the price for the ones who are corrupt. No matter if you are black, white, purple, rich, poor, law enforcement, work at a grocery store or live on the streets in some sense all of us are brothers therefore as a society we must always do what is right to help one another. In some cases the officer is right when it comes down to them firing their gun but not always and we as a society need to have this discussion.

Therefore, I want to talk about some of the black and white women who were killed unlawfully in America. I could spend hours writing about black men and women who were innocent, unarmed and unlawfully killed on the streets of our cities. We must honor them all just as we must honor our fallen officers because ladies and gentlemen we are at war. Their is us and their is them being that we live in a society where inequality still occurs today. Even though Martin Luther King and other black civil leaders sacrificed their lives for equality it only takes once officer to shoot an unarmed black woman or man due to fear perhaps ignorance that taints those civil rights leaders sacrifices they made in hopes for a better future.

December 2nd 2014 Jerame Reid in Bridgeton NJ was shot and killed by police he was a passenger in a car driven by his friend. The vehicle was pulled over by police who claim that their was a gun in the glove department. The police told Reid not to exit the car but he did with his hands in front of his chest. Officer Braheme Days and Roger Worley fired striking Reid despite that Reid was unarmed and perhaps left the vehicle out of fear. This is the police come out with your hands up so we can shoot you for it!

December 2nd 2014 Rumain Brisbon 34 years of age was shot by Phoenix police when that officers mistook a pill bottle as a weapon. Officer Mark Rine was not charged despite the case of mistaken identity. The officer simply reacted to fast and acted out of fear. Can you imagine being a black man and you get your heart pills only to have the officer shoot you for it?

Tamir Rice on November 22nd 2014 in Cleveland Ohio 12 years old was shot by law enforcement when officers thought that this child was carrying a real gun when it turned out to be a toy gun. The two police officers involved Timothy Loehmann and Frank Garmback were never charged. As a matter in fact both officers shot then asked questions later. Once again law enforcement failing to do their job by calling for backup first or even trying to analyze the situation first. Both officers were not charged despite their negligence in the matter. In America police shooting a 12 year old is inexcusable kids play with toy guns. I grew up as a kid in Buffalo playing with BB and toy guns. I would hope that before any officer were to shoot my kid for playing with guns the officer would first analyze the situation and make sure that gun is real.

Nov. 13 2014 Tanisha Anderson once again a Cleveland Resident died after officers slammed her head onto the ground while taking her into custody. Anderson had mental health issues such as schizophrenia and was bipolar. Apparently the officers failed to call mental health nor had the patience to deal with someone who may have had some medical issues so instead they gave her a death sentence. The officers were never charged.Once again this just proves that officers are not being provided with proper training to deal with people who have mental health issues, impairments and disabilities. So rather then an officer dealing with it appropriately by simply calling for an ambulance they decide the best cure is one of the violent kind.

August 5th 2014 John Crawford III of Dayton Ohio at the age of 22 years old was shot and killed by a police officer in Walmart. Crawford was seen holding a toy BB gun earlier and a paranoid customer called 911. When the officers arrived there was no confrontation with police as a matter in fact Crawford at the time was unarmed. The officers Sean Williams and David Darkow were never charged for this unlawful killing. I open carry my handgun in Walmart all the time never once had an issue with cops nor its employees but can you imagine your buying your son a BB gun and all of sudden cops run down the aisle of the store guns blazing? No questions asked!

July 17th 2014 Eric Garner of NY at the age of 43 years old was killed after an officer choked him for 15 seconds by a white police officer. The officer killed him for trying to sell loose cigarettes despite him letting the officer know he could not breath 11 different times sever officers piled in on top of him and Garner died. Daniel Pantaleo was never charged in Garners death. What gives an officer the right to hit, wrestle or choke someone baffles me even more so when such conduct led to this mans death. If multiple officers were at the scene they could have held his arms and cuffed him. A senseless death and another officer that got away with murder. As a matter in fact his death was contributed by compression of his neck and chest he was asphyxiated to death on a public sidewalk.

April 20th 2014 Dontre Hamilton of Milwaukee was fatally shot 14 times by a police officer at the park. Yes you heard me 14 times because one bullet is just simply not good enough killing this man 14 times over. The officer responding to the call from employees at a nearby Starbucks was told that he was schizophrenic but also disturbing the peace. The officers who first arrive determined he was not doing anything legal however when Officer Christopher Manney showed up later trying to pat him down a struggle begin. Manney then fired his gun 14 times despite that he had a taser and other officers to assist him. Manney was never charged despite the use of excessive force.

Brendon Glenn 29 years old was fatally shot in the back and was unarmed by officer Clifford Proctor. Proctor told investigators that he saw Glenn’s hand on this partners holster but later security footage from a nearby bar was analyzed which found that Glenn’s hand was never near the holster. The investigation concluded that Glenn was on his stomach trying to push himself up when the officer shot him.

Gregory Gunn 58 years old was killed by officer Aaron Smith. The officer claims that Gunn was suspicious. Witnesses report that Gunn was knocking on the window of a neighbors house pleading for help. Gunn was not armed and supposedly a struggle ensued. Gunn turned out to be unarmed and was not breaking any laws. The officer acted out of fear and more then likely failed to interview the suspect. No viable explanation was ever given!

Ramarley Graham 18 years old was killed when the Bronx police entered his apartment without a warrant shooting him in his very own bathroom in 2012. Surveillance videos show that Graham had walked into his apartment building followed by two police officers who kicked in the door which was locked at the time. The officers then ran upstairs to Grahams apartment and shot him in the chest. The officers claim that the teen was armed but based on the conversation on the police radio only a bag of marijuana was found but no weapon. Both officers were not charged based on the judge showing favoritism towards the officer and a second grand jury failed to indict the officer. While the city agreed to pay out almost 4 million to Grahams family this young man will never take another breath again while the two officers are able to freely enjoy their lives.

In St Paul Minnesota a man named Philando Castile was in the car with his companion and child. The police pulled him over and for no reason drew there gun killing him with the kid and woman in the car. This was one of the most widely shared facebook videos that show a man whose shirt was soaked in blood as she is telling the camera police just shot my boyfriend for no reason. Castile was pulled over because his brake lights were out he did inform the officer he was open carrying and that is when he was murdered. As a matter in fact the officer began to panic while other police on the scene trying to validate the shooting despite the gun was never drawn to begin with.

A day earlier a 37 year old man named Alton Sterling was shot and killed by two police officers outside a Baton Rouge convenience store where he was selling burned music and movies on disc. The man was not armed but was shot for selling some music something all of us may have done time to time. This brings up the question that don’t the police have something better to do like bust real criminals? I did not realize that peoples tax dollars go towards cops chasing people selling movies or music when there are kidnappers, rapist, thieves and murders roaming free.

In 2015 a man by the name of Samuel DuBose was pulled over by Ray Tensing a University of Cincinnati Police officer for a traffic stop. DuBose was not armed at the time but Tensing pursued him for having a missing licence plate. Tensing claims he was fearful of being dragged under the car as DuBose tried to drive away. However the body camera depicts an entirely different story as DuBose repeatedly was being asked for his drivers licence. When Dubose fails to produce it he gets out of a car and Tensing executes him. This was a senseless death and act executed over a traffic infraction.

Dante Parker on Aug. 12th 2014 killed in Victorville California after being tased multiple times by police. Sadly this man was a father of five his kids will never see him again nor play football with there father. If that is not worst enough August 11th 2014 a day prior Ezell Ford a 25 year old mentally ill man was shot three times including once in the back by a white police officer he was unarmed. No charges have been filed for the officers killing an unarmed mental black man.

November 20th 2014 Akai Gurley in Brooklyn NY was shot and killed while walking in dimly lit NYC public housing stairwell with his girlfriend. Gurley was unarmed and pronounced dead at the hospital. Supposedly the police claim it was an accidental discharge. Officer Peter Liang was charged and was a rookie yes but what I cant understand is how a gun accidentally discharges considering your finger has to be on the trigger and the gun needed to be pointed at Gurley.

April 2nd 2015 Eric Harris of Tulsa Oklahoma was shot and killed by a 73 year old reserve deputy officer who mistook his own gun for a taser accidentally killing him. While the officer was charged with manslaughter it once again proves as to why maybe law enforcement should not carry guns. It is apparent that some officers of the law do not have enough training with how to discharge a firearm let alone tell a firearm apart from there taser!

Walter Scott of Charleston South Carline on April 4th 2015 was shot while running away from a traffic stop for having a broken taillight. Officer Michael Slager claimed that Scott had taken his stun gun although this has been debated based on witnesses in the area. Video surfaced showing Scott running away when the officer fired his gun multiple times into his back killing him instantly.

April 19th 2015 Freddie Gray of Baltimore died of a spinal cord injury a week later after being arrested by the police. Nobody knows how he sustained his injuries but officials say he was stopped after fleeing from a police presence. Something we all tend to do if we see a cop we avoid them perhaps because some of us are worried about getting a ticket even if you do nothing wrong officers make mistakes and they sometimes issue unlawful tickets. Freddie Gray peacefully left the seen where officers chased him down and arrested him for possessing a switchblade. He was put into a police van inappropriately and was not properly buckled in. Meanwhile the police officers went out joyriding and did not attend to Freddie Gray’s medical needs which resulted in his death. The officers involved in such negligence today run Scott free.

All these cases have something in common do you know what that is? It is that all the victims were black unarmed and in most incidents broke no laws that would subject them to being shot. I remember seeing a story about a black man that a cop ran over that was on the run. The man was killed on site and the officer was not even reprimanded. I did not realize that our hard earned tax dollars are turning cop cars into weapons I thought that is why officers carry cuffs, tasers and nightsticks. Just imagine these are only some of the cases of hundreds if not thousands which should make our viewers blood boil knowing this.

While there is decades of police brutality against innocent people of color in recent years such cases are getting more exposure this might be due to social media, camera photos and more people being self aware that its no longer the people on the streets breaking laws but also police officers. Officers that the general public is to scared to seek help from and simply no longer has respect for. How can you respect law enforcement when they are killing the people they are sworn to protect? How can we even live with ourselves for doing nothing?

In most cases many of the officers are allowed to keep there job some may be suspended for a short time that is of course with pay. Some officers murdered innocent black men and women yet fail to do anytime for unjustly making poor decisions and not abiding by the training they were given which is negligence at its finest. While the rest of America is being policed who is going to police law enforcement and restrict what it is they can do or cant do? I am not even sure how some of the juries, judges and courts can sleep with a good conscious at night knowing that they favor law enforcement shooting an unarmed black man who may have just been out going for a stroll or jogging even.

Any other job in the country you would be fired without pay and you might even lose your pension. Meanwhile many of the police officers in these cases get an early retirement some of them keep there pension and others simply keep their badge. At best officers generally involved with the illegal killing of black men and women often repeat the same offences. When will society say enough is enough? Why does an officer get to illegal kill or take the life of an innocent human being meanwhile if you or I accidentally hit someone with our vehicle killing them we would end up doing ten years in the slammer?

Allot of the officers involved in these illegal killings of unarmed citizens whether its murder or manslaughter generally have a longstanding history of complaints. Most of the time their are ongoing issues with the officer but yet that officer is never relieved of duty until the county or state is being sued to little to late after the police officer has had a longstanding history and incidents involving black citizens. Whether those complaints are misconduct, police brutality or even other killings they were not charged which not only allows them to repeat the same mistakes but also for other officers to conduct themselves in this matter as well.

Sadly we will never be able to bring these people back some of them had wives, husbands, kids while others simply were persecuted for being mentally ill. Parents lost sons and daughters only to be told that their will be no justice for them. We live in a society where law enforcement is shown favoritism NOT equality in America. If I shot an innocent black man I would be doing 25 years to life if your an officer of the law and your caught even lying about such an incident your given a free ticket to freedom without consequence because you carry a badge. The badge means nothing without ethics, morals, compassion, bravery and upholding the law. But how many of those officers carry the badge but fail to abide by what it stands for? Most officers are not even apologetic even if they were in the wrong perhaps because in today’s times the badge does not hold the same honor it did many years ago when being an officer meant doing the right thing!

Sadly officers who carry racism, violence, hate, anger and fear should never be allowed to carry a badge sadly it takes the death of an innocent man sometimes for that individual to lose the badge by then its to late because black or white these victims will never breath again. Do not get me wrong I have met some great cops and I am friends with a few. They believe in that badge but a majority of them do not and that is why in America there is a major problem with the killing of innocent law abiding citizens.

Allot of times I hear the excuse well yeah he was innocent but that black man smoked pot or ran away. We live in a very stereotypical and judgmental society. People seem to think it is okay that cops kill innocent black citizens by trying to justify it will excuses. Their is no excuse for an unarmed man to be shot in the back like a sick dog on the streets. I do not care if that man was selling music on some burned CDs or selling tobacco to others in front of a convenience store. That does not give us the right to issue a death sentence. If the police was to utilize there gun then they need to remove serial killers, child rapist, kidnappers, terrorist and purge real evil from our soil. But to take the lives of innocent men the same men who pay taxes so that these police officers have a job to feed there families is hypocritical and simply madness.

That would be similar to a police officer shooting me because I open carry. Even though I abide by the laws of Nevada at anytime a police officer may decide that based on how I look I am a threat to his very own existence. It would be easy to persecute me and I am a white man but if I have gotten mistreated by law enforcement I can only imagine how awful it must be to be a black man walking the streets simply minding his own business. If a police officer shot me because he was acting out of paranoia what would others say that I deserved to die because my nails are black, smoke medical marijuana, hair is long, that I have tattoos, piercing’s and raise chickens? Therefore society might say or even law enforcement oh well he probably was a Satanist that was going to sacrifice his hens.

The point I am trying to make is that we live in a society where law enforcement is bias and they feel they have a right to judge. This is not about any of the people I mentioned above being a threat to any of the police officers it was about fear, hatred, racism, power, control and officers making bad judgement calls. It is easy to be in a patrol car see someone you think is suspicious and it ending bad. An example of that is with Freddy Gray those officers had no right to stop him nor arrest him but they seen him hanging outside and decided or assumed that he was a criminal when in fact he was minding his own business. No officer of the law should ever harass law abiding citizens nor should they focus on miniscule incidents like someone selling music CDs on the sidewalk. What police need to be focusing on is the bigger issues at hand such as missing persons, gang violence, burglaries and other evil doings.

Statistically most of America does not trust the cops anymore especially after hurricane Katrina when it was law enforcement going into Car Dealerships stealing cars instead of helping the innocent victims who were drowning in flood waters. How can we? Can you blame any black citizen from running from the law? Can you even blame me for avoiding the law given my rocking roll look? Most of the time people see my long hair, black nails and tats asking me if I am on drugs. But I can only imagine how much worst it would have been if I was a man of color in America.

Over the years being a paranormal investigator I have met some really great black friends but sometimes I wonder if some days ill ever seem them again due to law enforcement making a bad judgement call because of there skin color. Some of those friends of mine have great jobs, children, husbands, wives, chase bigfoot like I do, law abiding and others I play sports with in my league like the Renegades football team. I am finding out over the years that if you judge by skin color you are only shorting yourself but fear also breeds hate. Its so easy for an officer to judge based on skin color not the crime and more then often the crime committed by black citizens in America does not fit the punishment which all to often is a death sentence. Sadly police officers are given to much power and until their are consequences put into place their will be a growing pattern of senseless deaths across the country.

Racism is something that is taught I grew up being taught to be this way because at one time the suburbs of Buffalo were anti black. I never knew better as a kid I had a few black friends growing up in the city. But you do not realize how good you have it till you realize one of your friends was shot for being black or abused by five or six cops for there skin color. To be honest with you I find it extremely offensive that we have so many serious issues in society yet we have police going out there shooting unarmed men of color. Not just men but I have seen cases where a black woman was arrested for having a tail light out but not just arrested but physically manhandled by a group of cops. How many cops does it take to arrest an unarmed black woman with a broken taillight? Apparently the badge gives you an excuse to do what you want even if that means resorting to violence.

We are not savages every time I see a black man or woman murdered on the news it saddens me greatly. Because deep down I know its wrong and America must know it too. But the real question is when will we get it right? When will we feel safe on our streets? The boys in black and blue are here to protect and serve. But are they protecting our countries citizens and serving us or are they inciting violence which often in the end leads to setting bad examples for future police officers. We must protect our civil rights no matter what your skin color is it would be a travesty to continue to let law enforcement conduct themselves in a manner that defies the very oath they take.

We must ask ourselves why are so many counties, state and law enforcement agencies being sued? Yet the officers are allowed to live their lives freely and continue to work for the force. Despite that in some cases some families were given 9 million dollars to basically shut up. No money in the world will bring back your mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, sisters, wives or husbands. What is worth more then all the money in the world is your freedom but also having civil rights, fairness and preservation of life as we know it. Until we as a society can share the same dreams I feel that tensions will continue to rise across the countries between law enforcement and unarmed innocent men and women of color. Everyone of us has a right to live, dream and experience the freedoms we are given in America. No law enforcement officer has the right to take that away with the simple pulling of a trigger and the lack of common sense.

All men are created equal this means that all officers who are not abiding by the law need to be persecuted to the fullest extent of the law whether that is jail, community service, manslaughter charges, losing the pension, badge and never being allowed to work in law enforcement again. If you work in a nursing home and you abuse one elderly person you are banned from social work let alone ever again working with the public. The same policies, laws, rules and code of conduct must be implemented across the country when it comes to law enforcement. It is the only way America’s citizens can sleep at night knowing that we truly live in a free democratic society where skin color will no longer be an issue. As long as their are innocents being murdered senselessly by those who are sworn to protect us I am afraid we will never see peace and that black citizens in America will truly never have an honest chance at what it means to truly experience freedom! Its not just black lives matter but its all lives that includes the police and people of all colors who are upstanding American law abiding citizens!
