Today has been a long day that is for sure. I should probably get some rest in a few hours I am heading out at sunrise to do my climb. I actually cant wait to get out there this weekend I GPS a few hidden lakes and ponds also. Good areas for finding tracks and other strange things. Count me in when it comes to the path less taken.
I love South Lake Tahoe but man is it cold up here tonight hell all day. Some of the peaks had gotten hit with a few feet of snow. All the peaks around the lake have snow on them while there was some snow along the road and on roofs today. It actually snowed a day before the end of summer and so goes life in the mountains.
I love living here because I do get variety of weather but man its been crazy lately. We have had storm systems coming in that brick clouds dark as night, fog, snow showers, rain and even hail. It might be windy for an hour then calm with a few patches of blue skies followed by walls of fog so intense you cant see the lake nor the mountains. The fog passes and pow the peaks get covered in snow its wicked.
I did take some photos of the snowy mountains today ill try to post them on facebook in a day or two so everyone can see our first snow we had. Pretty soon ill be cutting my own xmas tree cant wait that is always fun to do trudging through the snow in the mountains to cut that tree down for the holidays.
I seen tonight up in Tahoe two asian massage parlors man it was tempting 40 dollars for an hour is not bad. I have tried it all pain pills, physical therapy, braces, shots, surgery etc nothing works. I think massage might be the way to go especially with my muscle spasms, nerve problems, chronic pain etc so if I get one I am going up there because honestly its been days since I slept the pain I am having is so fucking awful I no longer get rest it sucks. I can be up for days with a few light naps in between.
After the errand we went to Starbucks I had a pumpkin latte and some pumpkin bread it was so good. I needed it so cold out plus Tammy parked in a deep ass puddle so when I got out of the vehicle both of my feet went into deep ice water brrr it was cold but no big deal I plan on hiking in a wet meadow in a few hours and I know that will be cold. When I start my hike it will be 30 by almost noon less then 40 degrees. I do not mind but the wind if its high will cut through us.
My teenage son was urban exploring while I was at the lake these kids they just get into everything. But he found tunnels with his gf and other kids so they explored them. Of course I did not know about it till I got home and he was boasting about his find. The tunnels are haunted date back to the 1800’s pretty spooky stuff I am to big to get into them but he and his friends are not so lucky them. It sucks getting fat sorry folks to much beer, pot and chicken wings haha.
Also when I had gotten home found a note on my door it was the neighbor. Yeah my dog got into her yard was growling at her and trying to get her chickens. My dog would never hurt a fly but he gets in these situations all the time hence his name Rascal because boy he is a handful sometimes. The first time he miscalculated the jump was stuck in the corner of her alleyway on the side of her house crying like a baby. This time he must had hopped the wall in my yard near the fence. They have chicken wire up but that wont stop him as he can stand on the pool wall look into her yard then hop the couple feet right over. American Bulldogs have amazing lower body strength they spring straight into the air its crazy that is why he is such a good rock climber when we hike together.
Since he cant escape the yard now he is just going in other peoples yard. I cant do anything about the pool wall whoever built it should have never had the in ground pool platform go that close to the fence. I may have to buy two large pieces of lattice then nail it to the fence so he cant get into her yard assuming that is how he got in. Of course before I left he was looking over her fence from the platform so its obvious and tomorrow I have to put him on a lead otherwise that poor lady is going to lose some chickens. Lucky tonight he did not get to them and lucky for me she was very kind.
My son was over there trying to get Rascal when I pulled up then we went to talk to her she has horses and all sorts of animals she boards. She is moving out soon so she said that other dogs have gotten into her yard to and she is buying a farm soon. I was thinking so are we in less then two years. This suburban life is not for me and this is the reason why because A. My Dog and B. Dealing with neighbors if the dog hops the fence he is not in a corral but rather in someone else’s yard. Rascal is getting old but he still thinks he is a puppy.
He also thinks he is guarding my property so he tries to escape keeping folks off the front of the home and well when he went into her yard all he thought is who is this person shoeing me away. But you know bulldogs all bark no bite but she was scared of him at first. But he wagged his tail and he walked up to her on the steps to say bye. I swear all my animals are so mischievous best pets in the world but they get themselves in a world of shit then again can we really expect much less from dogs lol? I am glad it worked out but to see a note saying hey your dog has me trapped in my house and is trying to eat my chickens really scared me because I do not need animal control to take him away he is a teddy bear but he also has the mind of a three year old so he knocks stuff over with his tail, slobbers everywhere, rolls on his back wants to be scratched, chases birds etc etc typical dog behavior. In his mind he thinks he is doing his job setting boundaries for the neighbors maybe even protecting me but he is not he is just scaring everyone in the neighborhood he really needs a farm ya know?
I then cooked my balsamic chicken tonight watched the Walking Dead season 8 premier tonight that was about it. The rest of the night was spent packing my backpack with gear, food and supplies. I had to GPS some stuff to and get my material printed like maps etc. I may hike primitive but I do it with intelligence believe me. Now I have pizza cooking because I am packing it for my trip in the morning so my son and I have pizza for lunch that is a good treat to have when your 9k in the high sierras trust me friends.
A busy day though as you can see I kept my promise and put out that article on police misconduct. I am saddened that nobody liked the article, commented or whatever. It actually is a bit fucked when you think about it then we often wonder why innocent people are being killed. People want to ignore the problem nobody cares that is what it boils down to. Unless you have a family member or friend murdered by police based on skin color you will never understand therefore why would anyone read the article and like the effort I put into it. It is the truth and the truth hurts peoples feelings publicly. My writings will continue at least once a week ill write controversial articles so we can build up the news site.
I have to say it was nice to see the moon out up at the lake the sunset was gorgeous with a layer of dark clouds between it. Its winter up here my friends believe me ill probably hike in snow some mountains and hills have more then others. Silver Peak is covered top to bottom and jobs/freel peaks at the top have a few feet. People in Tahoe were freezing you have ladies in short skirts running like its the end of the world its like honey welcome to the mountains the sierras get cool off fast that is why in the summer they are great for hiking in.
As I was typing this I heard something walk on my deck but nothing is there so weird. Weird stuff is constantly happening to me I swear. I am also almost finished with another paranormal location on our website. I am rolling along now that I have a place to live you guys can see I am three times more productive I have weekly investigations, website additions coming out, news articles I write posted, more emails answered, hanging with friends etc and it will only get busier. I have allot of projects planned some of you need to get involved do not miss out on this stuff. Because I visit places like candy and I am to busy to give tours a year or two down the road so if you snooze you lose.
But I better close shop for the night I have a peak to climb soon, two lakes to scour, a few ponds to check out, two national forest ill hike to on foot so ill have allot to do all day long. I do not care what the weather is like if it snows it just adds to the adventure. I do not bring negativity into what I do just happy to have a chance to do stuff it could be worst given my physical ailments. My ankle tonight feels good I been wearing this brace its doing better but its not a longterm fix but tonight I got less pain and its stronger after taking off the brace before bed here.
When I went through the casino I seen games that I never seen before like willy wonka and even the Simpson’s lol. They will do anything to get your money at these casinos lucky for me I hardly play. I do go to casinos for dinner, drinks etc but if I gamble ill do five or ten allot of times I win sometimes I do not oh well. I like Tahoe though great views, pretty gals, Asian massages obviously lol, good food and crazy wicked weather like that tornado cloud that was forming a few days ago over the lake. More or less though today just did allot of joyriding around most stuff out there closes early in south lake some starbucks even grrr lucky we found one.
Now I must rest my friends busy weekend most of the day will be spent in the wilderness then Sunday is my football game on TV the bills followed by my football game at the dome and maybe taking my son out for some birthday fun since ill be up in Reno. I keep active believe me its all any of us can do its what keeps you kicking believe me. At times I do get a bit lonely though its nice when I can see friends or when family wants to spend time with me but it seems all I do is drive others nuts people get fed up with me I guess being me is not something everyone can handle.
I am getting a twix coffee in the morning then its off to the Carson Pass soon ill be thousands of feet on top of the world cant wait so excited. I went outside tonight you can smell wood burning people are burning there fireplaces around here. Also there is some weirdo in my neighborhood I do not like this dude driving around scoping out houses, stopping shutting off his car then going to another house. He seen me whipped around and was watched me a few feet away in his vehicle its like WTF is your problem dude. As most of you know I am armed to the teeth I do not think it would be wise for anybody to rob me just like at the hotel Tammy heard some guy say hey that door is cracked maybe I could go in take what I want Tammy laughed because she knew my gun was on me in my holster yeah that guy probably would have been shocked when he came face to face with me.
But I am worried out here in Carson and Reno there are some evil people not many but some. Tammy told me on the news women and there kids are being stalked by a group of men with ear pieces. They look like the Men in Black or secret service but they are not. But these men are chasing down women and children like they are coordinating a kidnapping. This bothers me we have allot of missing young boys around here so definitely concerning. It was like a few years ago you had a group of guys going to each door selling kids books but really they were not selling any books at all they just were scoping out peoples homes for kids they could kidnap or rob. Yeah go ahead rob me or try kidnapping me haha and hell id feel sorry for anyone who touches my son believe me he will cut there balls off my son is a handful and he is getting quite strong for his age turning 16 in a few days he is a mini Lord Rick in some senses lol.

But if you harm my friends, kids or family I will wreck you and ill do it with a grin on my face because I live truly on adrenaline this is why I can climb mountains with a busted knee and ankle I just don’t fucking care pain is glory for me. But what pains me more then anything is stupid people and especially idiots that try to coordinate attacking innocent women and children screw that. I mean this kind of shit should not happen in beautiful Nevada.
Well good night ill let everyone know when I get back from our bigfoot expedition this will be a serious trip ill cover about five miles in the high sierras. When its my son and I we do some crazy stuff find caves, bigfoot dens, tracks, film bears, rock climb etc its a giant playground for us and this may be our last bigfoot jaunt due to winter coming most areas will be closed, gated, inaccessible or in avalanche zones. But ill be at 9,400 k with 200 miles of views seeing the Forestdale Divide, Markleeville Peak, Hope Valley, Blue Lakes, Roundtop Peak, Elephants Back, Mount Raymond and so many other beautiful landmarks it should be awesome. I do not know what we will find but when you leave any trail for miles trust me you will come across some eerie stuff in the sierras its out there you just have to explore and be willing to tread where even angels dare not to.
