On Friday the 13th last month I had planned out an investigation of Tecopa one of the many ghost towns in Death Valley. The area is well known for its hot springs making the area only a semi ghost town. I went with a group of people who call themselves otherkin to do a documentary.

I must say that the investigation was a huge let down perhaps its not the place I had chosen but the people I was with. I just had a knee operation a few days prior to this but I had plans to do everything no matter if I had to do them with my crutches. Over the years I start to realize that if I can do it their is no excuse why nobody else can.

My ride came in the evening......was a little upset that a loud mouthed brat was brought along. I say this person is a brat because all they did the entire night is brag how they could walk hundreds of miles on foot then I get the kid in the desert with me and he is bitching up a storm constantly. Nothing is worst then being on an investigation and having to listen to a person whine all night long about animals....the elements....feet hurting....working the next day etc etc it hinders the investigation or rather sets a negative tone for it.

The otherkin told me they had the power to see things in the dark and would find the Tecopa mines no problem. I was getting a little bit impatient as we spent over a half hour deciding what everybody had wanted to eat and waiting on a decision for the firewood brand we wanted.

I had no plans of where I wanted to go on this trip just wanted to get to the town then drive around finding hotspots to check on out. It was Friday The 13th I had all the time in the world and of course you should if your going to investigate such a place like this. It had been over an hour and we drove all the way out to North Vegas to pick up a couple my rule has been lately no couples because of the huge differences one might be to tired to hike on while the other wants to then everybody fights something I freaking hate. Well part of the couple spent more time setting up their telescope and in the car then offering me any assistance.

It was a very special day for me as I had won my settlement.....and I just started dating a really great girl named Tammy. So I bought a bottle of champagne to drink around the fire later after I did a few areas. We finally arrived on into town it was dead not even a single car out...and dimly lit as their were some houses down some of the dirt roads.

I found a cemetery road so I had us take that on in until it led us to Tecopa Cemetery a quaint little location in the middle of town. Later from research I found out their is a much older cemetery hidden near the original town site that this place was just mainly for Vets.

New Tecopa Cemetery

The cemetery sat in a residential area nothing but houses all around us way off in the desert. I was a little concerned so I did not use hardly any lights here. Unlike Chief Tecopa Cemetery their was no grass or fancy gardens here. This was a straight up burial ground in the desert.

Some of the stones were eroded....other ones were sinking.....while other graves were only a few years old. From the investigation we gathered that the cemetery here looked as if the graves were relocated to this patch of desert land. Some older graves had brand new stones.....while most of the burial ground looked unsettled.

This did not look like an area that was established from the towns earlier days. Not to far away was a historic date farm its about the only other thing besides the springs that gets well visited.

We had a total of 5 on our team one was looking in her telescope the other three were apparently on their own investigation to read every single grave. I was off in the very back of the cemetery by myself taking photos besides the fact of I had to take a leak. Their are no rest stops here life is the desert was harsh even after death.

I met back up with everybody and they were not looking much for ghost as I was. I noticed a fast movement from the utility shed in front of me. I bought it up to them and they were like oh maybe that's our friend. Problem was she was in the truck so I was thinking to myself whatever.

I hobbled along at an old wood sign in front of the cemetery to have a photo of me taken there. It was very dark outside nothing beats being under a desert sky all the stars were out and without lights you really could feel the darkness closing on in.

Their was the feeling that in other parts of the cemetery that were overgrown with shrub and sand that felt as if some of the graves were missing markers perhaps. I am guessing this cemetery is allot older then what it might lead on to be. Its possible that burials started here prior to the town building on up.

I wrapped up the investigation here after I got the lecture that some faces I could not use in the photos because they had plans to be a secret spy eventually for the military....blah blah I say whatever.  If you do not want to be in the photos then do not join a team that documents its investigations. Its rather sad how people come out with us then start asking for the moon and the stars.

I started to get the feeling that the other kin thought this was a party and had no plans on being serious about anything paranormal. We then got back into the truck and headed towards the hot springs. This was a side stop if I found something interesting I would stop and that I did.

Along the way to my right was a very large rocky hill which was very steep and high. I noticed a giant white cross on top of it so I had everybody stop here. I got out and I do what I did best I climbed with my crutch rock to rock till I reached the summit. It was not the best experience but I made it up there and waited to see if anybody else would come only one person followed who then bitched to me how they hate heights and being outdoors.

The hill over looked the entire town what a view even at night I could make out the hot springs...old houses....and various parts of the town. The cross had a few trinkets hanging from it and there was a bench on top of it. Not sure the history of the location but one could picture a funeral being held on this hill.

I took the switch back trails going down and decided it was time to enter the mining district or rather old Tecopa which was roughly 10 to 13 miles from New Tecopa

An awesome pink anomaly was caught hiding behind the cross which makes this a real authentic orb. I think getting a pink hue with any anomaly or orb is rare. Click the imaget to enlarge.

An orb off in the corner real or not you decide!
