Benefit concert to aid impoverished childrenThe Five Jamaican Tenors will bring the spirit of Jamaica to the stage when it will perform in a benefit concert to help homeless and abandoned children. The event at 6:30 p.m. July 16 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community, 3000 N. Lompa Lane, will feature Father Richard Ho Lung, founder of Missionaries of the Poor. The priest’s community of more than 600 brothers live out their motto, “Joyful Service with Christ Crucified,” in Kingston, Jamaica, where they serve homeless and abandoned children. All proceeds from the concert go to Missionaries of the Poor.  …
