Carson City Catmandu needs funds, on the verge of closing
























The Catmandu shelter will officially close its doors in about two months if it can’t raise enough money to continue operating.The facility, located on Brown Street, is a cage-free cat and kitten adoption shelter, however, funding has all but ceased recently, said executive director Linda Buchanan. The shelter doesn’t receive any city, state or government funding to run the facility, and it relies solely on funds from donations and adoption fees.Without these funds, the shelter has been forced to gradually close its doors, no longer taking in anymore cats or kittens and trying to adopt out the rest before they  …
