Emma Thompson letter is what we all need to hear

This week, Emma Thompson sealed her place in #MeToo history. When she quit her role in the animated film "Luck," there was speculation that she had done so because the former Pixar Animation Studios and Disney executive John Lasseter been confirmed as the new head of Skydance Media, the film's production company. Lasseter left Pixar last year after he was accused of sexual misconduct, a year after taking a leave of absence and releasing an internal memo acknowledging "that I have made some of you feel disrespected or uncomfortable." A letter from Thompson published by the LA Times made her feelings about the matter clear.
