The team who put together the city’s first TEDx event in April has been awarded a second license for an event to be held Oct. 13, 2017.The theme for 2017 is The Agora, said Gina Lopez Hill, executive director, the Brewery Arts Center, the event organizer.“The theme of the Agora was chosen because in ancient Athens, the Agora was the heart of the city — where ordinary citizens bought and sold goods, politics were discussed and ideas were passed among great minds like Aristotle and Plato,” said Hill. “Our first TEDxCarsonCity was so well received we knew we had to  …
