The first time I approached this area was just a spontaneous turn off passing this road into the canyon. I thought to myself wow this place looks scenic what is it. Then to my right I noticed raging water and to the left some crosses. I thought wow great place to fish and toke.  I seen gold panners and we drove up to the power plant where a bunch of wild cattle were running. One almost jumped on my car I took a photo as he studied my eyes. The cattle come down steep grades and well they will charge you if you are in there way.

I found this area along the road that had a sandy beach with a giant calm pool of water and a rope swing. This is a famous hang out for the locals of Jackson but its a cool place to hike maybe build a fire at night with friends.

It took me only weeks later but I returned this time brought a friend. We hiked all up behind the power plant I stood near a cliff and ahead of us on the giant hill was a giant tube and meadow. On that steep hill were cattle and trust me everyone of them stared at my friend and I. My friend ran he got paranoid thought he would be charged and he was like that is it I am out of here.

We hiked down the side of a steep hill in the woods along the river. Came out near an inlet very quiet and serene. Nobody was back here and we sat right on the bank. It was a nice little exploration I didn't take alot of photos that was a mistake on my part. I was to caught up in the moment of driving and hiking around. It happens but to revisit this place would be a definite yes.
