I have to say that this historical building is truly remarkable what a perfect place to house such a great museum. This was my first investigation and visit to the museum its fairly large so I have a feeling ill be returning to see many more of its artifacts.

I took my son with me who enjoys history and artifacts like I do. I worked on EVP's mainly although its hard the museum gets busy and sometimes the employees their give history lessons. I would have to sort of work around this and well a good ghosthunter can work around this.

On the property is an old bell later inside the museum I would find a smaller one as they had this dark and man made mine built inside the building. I noticed others would go into the single path tunnel screaming I didn't think it was that scary. As I go into real mines although the setup does teach the individual what mining is like with displays and models.

On the wall were bones of an ichthyosaur then further up the stairs was a giant mammoth skeleton with what looked like a raptor. I did not read it I was to excited just to get my photo in front of them. It truly is amazing that at one time these type of creatures roamed Nevada when half of the state was much more sub tropical.

The earth exhibit was also very amazing as they had many of the minerals found within the state. I see many of the minerals out on hikes and inside mines so I knew what most of them were. Seeing gold and silver never gets old trust me especially when I find it all the time hiking I love it lol.

I spent sometime in the mint the coin press 1 is very amazing hell its amazing how coins were made back in the day. This press put out millions of dollars across the US with silver and gold mined in Comstock Lode. I seen gold and silver coins including a vault where they were kept. It is amazing with how well everything is displayed at the museum with notations as well as pictures to go with everything.

Their was allot of old cars, motorcycles and refurbished antiques back from a century ago. I see such wonders in ghost towns but they are not nearly as in good shape as these. For example I seen an old desk from the 1800's and stove. I have seen these sort of things but generally rotting away in some old shack in the middle of nowhere.

The gun room was really cool as I seen a gatling gun the first one I ever seen in person. Their also was a history write up on Fremont's lost cannon. If you like guns they have a very extensive collection.

The Nevada section of the museum had many animals that were stuffed or a taxidermist preserved them.  NV is an interesting state it has more mountains then any other state. The wild life here is very diverse all the way from rattle snakes to pelicans to bear. I have seen most of the wild life myself that is preserved in this state so right away I knew what everything was.

I finished off my visit at the Native American exhibits which show the culture from the Great Basin before the white man came to the state. I seen baskets, blankets and even petroglyphs. Believe it or not NV has allot of Native American Culture. It varies from adobes to grass huts to per say red haired giants who lived on rafts or in caves. 

I did not get to spend much time as I had wanted to here as I had to also visit the Carson City Capital Building so my time was very limited. I would love to come back to examine more history within the museum.

I feel that some of these artifacts have allot of energy attached to them for example some of the relics from Stewart High School in NV like outfits etc. Their is just so much to see perhaps my favorite part of it all was the dioramas which depict seascapes, ghost towns, mines and pictures to go with all of it.

Rather then talk about it I am going to show you and I think when I do you will have allot greater respect for the state of Nevada. This is a state with thousands of mines, hundreds of ghost towns and some of the oldest native American culture in the country. I am willing to bet that their are other unique parts of the Mint I did not get to see such as the basement or off limit areas. Everything has a story here including the building itself so I look forward to returning.
