A cemetery which was part of the Beresford community many years ago sits on a lonely road. I do not have alot of history on the cemetery since really it remains very well untaken care of. Many of the stones are composed of limestone and worn just as almost all the stones are upper burials, pillars, or your typical rectangular type of gravestones. Most of the early settlers who were part of the Beresford community are buried here.

If anybody knows anything about the Beresford area it is fairly secluded their are alot of small lakes, train tracks, trails which were all part of a plantation at one time. Now today the community has built up to some houses in the area and of course this cemetery which holds many secrets in itself.

The cemetery seems to have been for black settlers which were very abundant in the area and perhaps some were servants to the local plantations in the 1800s. Upon some further studying their seems to be a grave dating back to the 1860s. Many of the stones are leaning, piled on each other, weathered, some even are found off into the woods hidden.

How I found this cemetery is just driving around after our Stark Plantation investigation. I was curious to where this one dirt road led and when I came out on it I looked to my left and seen this stone entrance with piles of stones near the road. When I got a closer look I had discovered this forgotten jewel.

The whole front wall to the cemetery is collapsed and it goes very far back. Although we basically investigated the first couple hundred feet inside the cemetery and saved the rest for another time. You will not see alot of paranormal photos here or anything but just know their are ghost here and lots of them. My son seen many of them just standing their watching and I could feel perhaps numerous spirits here. It seems as if their is a real sad lonely type of feeling here.

The cemetery is also very dark lots of trees, brush etc so it really has a gloomy feeling and if any cemetery had a pioneer type of feeling to it this would be it. James one of our investigators spent the night here once he told me he stayed right by the front so this perhaps is not one of those cemeteries that is full of gardens, fountains, and flowers. But rather a very morbid place!
