One of my favorite practices is to park off somewhere and just hike on into the night. This cemetery is surrounded by coyotes and hills of the old Comstock which contained some of the richest mines in the world not to mention one of the oldest settlements in NV which is painted on a water tank above the cemetery. We have not entered into the burial ground yet as I finish the video off standing at the entrance.
As I enter the cemetery you hear the iron gates creak that it is a sound we always like to hear on any given investigation. Most of the historical graves are found near the entrance including "Old Virginny" Finney the man supposedly who discovered Gold in the Comstock and naming Virginia City. Nobody knows for sure but one thing is certain that at one time these people buried here were real and most were Italians who were responsible for the expansion of Dayton Nevada!

Most of these stones are some of the oldest found within the cemetery. Allot of them are surrounded by wrought iron or masonry works of art. Just as some of them are vandalized or they are falling apart. This is a tour at night of the historic section footage isn't that great but it does show the cemeteries age. After filming this all I could hear is coyotes on the hill just howling into the night, dogs barking and some cars traversing through town below.
This walkway is the memory gardens which contains flowers, benches, statues and even a gazebo. The giant cross found here is visible even as you approach the cemetery as its fairly tall compared to the evergreens. Although this part of the cemetery is newer it was a great place to do audio recordings at during our investigation while sitting on the benches.

This is the best video taken within the cemetery from our first investigation. Prior to recording it a bird nearly hit me in the head. However this is a tour taking you to some of the most prestigious grave stones found within this historic burial ground. Their are some also strange finds such as a giant hole found near one of the stones where someone had been possibly digging. The dirt had not been displaced but rather removed just as another stone has a missing centerpiece.
Final video taken from investigation one notice the headlights off in the distance. A truck pulled up dropped these two women off then took off without them. Later it circles around starts honking picks them up and they leave as I work my way towards the front gates. I guess my infrared lights scared them off hard to say but what I can tell you is if they were ghosthunting they were a bunch of "amateurs" lol
