Tonight absolutely was an amazing night as we ventured on off to the Johnson Mansion the place I mentioned a few days ago. I spent sometime at this place this week making this my 3rd occasion and wow what a nice investigation it turned out to be. Not only was the moon full but it also was our 4th investigation in the last 24 hours which really deserves some recognition.
James and I left very late tonight past 1am again very late investigations lately which has produced some very nice results and so our adventure begins at the front stone stairs of the Johnson Mansion.
The Johnson Mansion
Approaching this place is enough to make you want to turn back as its a very foreboding just to look at day or night. With the moon looming above the mansions roof glistening off the windows already an eerie feeling set in. James and I walked right under a giant spider web with a spider that was
extremely fat. The thought of getting bit by this things rather makes you wish for a good scare instead.
We walked into the den and right away we noticed one of the doors was closed kind of strange the other day ago it was open. There was test tubes all over the place smashed no matter how quiet we tried to walk it just seemed impossible. It was obvious that the clutter of furniture, boxes, and many books made very narrow walkways as we headed into the dining room.
We eventually made it into the kitchen when I heard movement upstairs it sounded like heavy walking we stayed very quiet then it stopped as well. All the plates and dining wear were all in tact on a shelf. The kitchen looked as if it was ready to be used again with a good cleaning.
We retraced our steps took a long hall with a wood door way and we noticed alot of things you would only see in a century old home such as the old oriental rugs, flower wall paper, old telephones and radios. It was quite apparent that the
Johnson's were either historians, scientist of geologist. Alot of information on DeLand in the 1800s etc etc.
Eventually we visited upstairs and the bathroom also very large was cluttered with dressers and such. It seemed rather the upstairs had four large bedrooms. We stepped
around the corner down the hall past some very dark attic stairs into a room what appeared to be a little girls room or
Childs. There was a mirror, old kids shoes, a lamp that hung on a chain and a little television. The room just had a child feeling to it. This would then make sense since my son told me that the ghost told him he had a son at one time. So he was on the money about a child living at one time in this house. We also heard people talking the voices did sound like they were coming from downstairs as if someone was holding a conversation male and female.
We crossed the hall and entered a work shop there was a saw and table, lots of tools, and boxes which indicated that whoever lived here perhaps brewed there own whisky or what is called moonshine in the south. Back out we went and into the attic. I could not believe the size of the attic however at this point all three of our flashlights were almost dead so we could not explore the attic since our visibility really was limited. The attic was filled with alot of junk so we could not make heads up. Although I did not like it up here it felt very uncomfortable perhaps like maybe this is the area where the noises come from.
We went back to the second floor and walked out to the upper porch opposite of the child's room. I felt the fresh air seeping in from a missing window it was real pleasant. Then we headed back and went downstairs to the first floor. This time we had some major cold spots passing by and James mentioned that the ghost here told him that he was real proud that he was with me. We revisited the dining room and the kitchen then back out to the living room. Eventually we visited the Florida room and made our way back outside.
I took some photos as I exited and you could see right away ectoplasm just pouring out of the house so whatever was inside made its
way outside real fast. We made our way out back where its real woodsy. There was some movement out back and then there was an area I took alot of photos of its a little storage shed or rather workshop. James said a little boy and his mother were playing with
each other. So I took alot of photos in this area.
Then we walked around the mansion a few times basically looking for entities in the windows things of that sort. There was a big sense of calm outside as opposed to being inside in such a cluttered environment. I felt pretty watched not so much around the yard but just the many large windows which are all over the mansion.
Eventually we did some work such as taking photos of each other or like me trying to touch the ectoplasm things of that sort. We took some photos near an old garage then we made our way back to the front to close out the investigation. Right about when we were going to leave I did get some fairly high EMF readings right along the stone stairwell and on the porch. It was very cold here and James said that he could see them on the front porch. This just validated that something was there.
We then went out back I climbed a pile of stones to look inside the work shop then we checked out this old giant
antenna nearby. Finally coming to our final stop which was a little wood bench. I could not get much here except on one of my last tries I did notice some ectoplasm around it. Its amazing how when your about to leave the activity picks up as if the departed is trying to tell you either goodbye or stay a little longer. But we concluded the investigation as I took alot of photos and this treasured haunted house is
truly in my eyes a paranormal wonder. Have A Goodnight!
