Yulee Sugar Mill

I had no idea how this place would be whether we had to hike on in or what kind of area it was. But we took what appeared to be a country road into a small community which seemed to have nothing but a few trailers and bars go figure.

We parked on the plantation grounds at a bar nearby since someone was partying at the park across the street. To our surprise as we were getting ready for a woods hike I looked over and there was the sugar mill ruins. I also seen a meteor burning up in the sky.

It was really close to the road kind of not what I expected. So getting activity would be hard here with cars and a loud rowdy bar next door. Not only that but a few people were in the park with a candle lit.

We started off by focusing on a well then the sugar cane mill itself which had giant wheels, a chimney, and cylinder which probably grinded the sugar cane up. There was also a few vats, a foundation and site where they would curate the syrup from the sugar cane.

The activity was very low here at first I knew though if I could spend time here which we did it would eventually draw in some good ghost photography for us all. It sometimes takes time to get something's attention or at least find an entity who finds you pleasing to work with.

I found that most of the activity was near the giant coquina chimney. It was like it was above us and after awhile I noticed that it came down and followed us around the mill. It could have even been Yulee's ghost himself. Lucy got a few orbs and was pretty satisfied with this location.

I did not have my EMF on me so we could not detect how strong the energy was here. But you could feel the place humming with energy around us. We took a lot of photos and I tried to take some EVP with the new digital recorder Christy sent to me which by the way a big thank you goes out to her for her donation of this important tool.

We then noticed the people in the park left in there redneck pick up truck and a couple guys from the bar walked on over to the park. They were drunk, rude and obnoxious as they kept yelling for me to watch them coons and gators. Rednecks are just plain ignorant they act all of tough but then they see a tiny harmless raccoon they think they gotta shoot it cause they are scared. Hell I been face to face with bears, gators, and giant cats if it bites I bite back right:) so what the hell do I care!! They eventually left after trying to shout real loud they need weed not like I was about to share any with these hicks.

We then went on over to the park to investigate. There was a coquina pile of stones I do not know if it was part of the sugar mill. The park was not very large just a shelter, garage, picnic benches and this annoying blinking light. The light stopped blinking when I looked up at it then Jason tried to shake the pole and it would not start blinking till we walked away. I thought this was real strange as if something was playing with the power.  The activity or energy in the park was very strong here especially around that blinking street lamp.

Also a girl parked in front of the shelter and she looked baked. She seen us standing almost in the woods and kept saying hello is anybody there haha. She apparently left her cell phone on one of the benches and could not find it. I am almost sure them guys sitting out there that went back to the bar took it. I am sure she probably did not even notice my Chief Rick head dress I had on lol.

Honestly none of these people I seen near this sugar mill looked honest. They all looked like crackers and drunks I say it like it is. Maybe these energies from this plantation are influencing this people locally I do not know but none of the people around here looked like they had it together. So I guess that is what I concluded from this investigation besides the fact that this historical site is amazing.

We walked back to the car and this drunk hick was carrying this pretty girl out to his truck. She was drunk, he was stumbling all over could barely talk looked like he was missing teeth. Sounded to me like I picked a real winner of a spot to investigate haha. But it was fun watching and I know I got some good photos around the sugar mill. But Jason had fun as I had him climb on into the well heh.

I cannot wait to write up the history for my fans and members on this place it truly is a great place now surrounded by trailers, bars, hicks and only the history that is left behind. We then headed on off to our 3rd location which was Stage Coach Ghosttown & Cemetery.
