Oakland Cemetery

I had nothing left in me no sleep hardly all week, lots of hike, my hand was hurting cause it got stabbed by a branch and I felt like crap to be honest with you. I put together my last night investigation in Warren even stopped near downtown to gather some photos for the site.

The cemetery was a couple miles away not an easy trip cause some areas had no sidewalks like the road the cemetery sits on. I found a railroad bridge I could have taken to get home also but I did not and ill explain why later.

I climbed a steep hill into the cemetery actually I missed the entrance did not feel like back tracking. Something was moving around in the woods on the side of the hill I was to tired to care so I just climbed on my hands and knees up the hill into the cemetery.

Now if you look back you will see we investigated St. Josephs Cemetery in Warren and parts of Oakland. I did walk around in St. Josephs briefly but I focused this investigation in the Oakland section of the cemetery.  So you will eventually see photos from both cemeteries and hell some that are not even in the cemetery which is okay cause this was one giant investigation I did which took a couple hours.

I took some photos of the chapel which is being used for storage. Then went towards the back was hoping to find the potters field its probably good considering they are deep in the woods up on a hill.

Things were pretty calm in the cemetery ya know a few cold spots and feeling watched in the older areas by entities. But for the most part it was nice. I enjoyed the view overlooking Warren. From the mountain I could see all these historical locations I investigated or photographed.

I was tired so I was dragging. I did not even have the strength to shoot many photos so you will not see many but you will see some. I came up to an old old mausoleum and the basement grates were all loose so I pulled one off to take photos underneath. It appears the basement was filled with dirt maybe on the backside was a better area to climb in but I was not going to go in it was small and I had a lot of gear on me. If I had someone with me Id gone in no problem.

There was a lot of ghost watching me at the mausoleum when I removed the grate one of them made a noise of sorts I said relax I am going to put it back and after that things became calmed down. Its pretty cool that you can go under it though but it would be hands and knees crawling.

I came around the bend and up to some woods and there was something big moving around sound like it was feasting to be honest with you. I heard branches breaking and movement. It sounded like it was in the middle of doing something and it stopped when I yelled out to it. Then all of sudden I thought now I am not sure I seen two sets of big red eyes stare at me and they moved from left to right up the mountain not even sure they were animal like.

I believe it may have been an actual bigfoot cause the cemetery sits up on a hill and there is mountains/woods behind it so whatever it was came on down from the woods behind the cemetery. I mean it was big and making a lot of noise it was not a bear since they are in hibernation right now.

I could not find the potters field and by this time I was reaching semi old stones working my way down the hill and terraces in the cemetery. There were a few cool stones but I tried to avoid areas I already visited a few years back here. I did find an oil well in the cemetery its kind of odd to see people drilling in a cemetery kind of disrespectful in my own opinion.

I came on out to the road and this was tough cause I made the mistake and underestimated my distance to the bridge and how long the refinery is in Warren. If I would have taken the way back and crossed the railroad bridge Id been back at the house sleeping in warmth 2 hours earlier but I decided to walk the road which is not very friendly lots of curves, woods, speeding oil tanker trucks etc.

The road I took cause I had plans to go further down the Allegheny river cross it at the bridge and come around to some park. I followed the dark road for over a mile. Across the river I could see the refinery and all the flames burning and smoke. The refinery is lit like a city in the town its so bright and large.

A few tankers passed me by speeding I was not to comfortable walking on the road not a sidewalk in sight. Strangely I found an oil well off to the side in the woods with a sealed up concrete entrance with a metal grate on it.

It was a long road the moon reflected right over the river I was checking out banks cause along the road they had stone tunnels going under the road. I was by this time tired, cold, and even hungry. I made my way down the road and came up to the bridge which strangely sways when your on it.

I crossed the bridge and walked right along the side of the refinery the gates were wide open no security what ashamed. The place is not very safe and it should be guarded more cause it really is a hazard to the town.

I followed the refinery and it was eerie no workers out no cars nobody even walking the streets. Warren is a ghost town at night everybody hides inside at night. I did make it home but I was out walking for over 3 hours straight.

I got home and rested for a few hours cause my flight was leaving the next day and I had to be up in the morning. So we decided to tour a couple more places the next day.
