United Office Building & Hotel
We could not find this place at first
considering it is the highest building in the Niagara Falls area you
cannot see it till you are actually a block away at night. We did find it
and just admired it for about 20 minutes including the 2 Seneca Indian
statues guarding the front doors. Floors 17-20th get smaller in size as it
goes higher. I was about to go home after but then I said no way we cannot
ignore such a beautiful haunting building. So we parked and walked for a
good half mile since there really is nowhere to park in the area and if
you do you will pay about $8.
We went inside the main lobby which right away you could see the L shaped
old fashioned stairwell, a reception area, the elevator hallway, and a few
other rooms which one had some old woodwork in. Mark and I went into the
basement first. The basement right away made me feel uneasy. I did not
like it I did not feel right about it. The basement itself was very maze
like and I know we missed at least 1-2 rooms down there. However our first
turn into a larger area Mark snapped a quick photo and by the looks of it
I seen one of the greatest demon photos in ectoplasm ever. I could be
wrong but I will review it more but after he seen it on his digital I
snapped a couple photos It was gone and I believe the entity passed right
through us as it got fairly cold for a few seconds. He and I then
turned the corner snapped another photo and it looks like we caught the
same entity on the move. We explored the circuit room, a few hallways, a
storage room found an old Abraham Lincoln poster rolled up. The basement
was really starting to get to me though. I started hearing movement in the
basement area and movement on the first floor above us like footsteps. I
told Mark it would be wise to get back in the lobby area since we captured
the entity on film which is not happy that we were there. I also want to
make a note that I caught an apparition of a lady sitting in a office
chair in the basement she is totally transparent and the details are
amazing of her face, arms, etc so the basement so far seemed to be most
active.
We worked out way back upstairs hurrying out of the basement as the entity
made its point. I heard a scream or more like a howl in one of the higher
floors it was not pleasant I could feel the building coming to life. We
then headed up a dead end stairwell which had a balcony overlooking the
lobby then headed back down to find another stairwell up. We headed up to
the 2nd floor on the L shaped stairwell which was all open no rooms or
anything of the sort. Just one giant room with columns. We explored
this well let area since street lights did shine in very little activity
here I felt totally at ease. We then found a huge iron door opened that
and found a dark bloody red painted wall and a staircase leading up to the
3rd floor. Again we noticed the same pattern a large open area with
columns and a lookout in the center seeing all the way down the bottom.
This floor bothered me a little. As we made our way up to the 4th floor I
came out a door made a left and one of the ceiling rods made a loud noise
nothing could have caused it all windows are intact here. But none the
less it was loud and startling.
We decided to work our way down since it was almost 5am and after seeing
so many steps at Devil's Hole earlier. Although I read that floors 17-20th
were used to store elevator equipment. So we made our way back down the
stairs into the main lobby after taking a few more photos in the area. We
did exit out of here since we got more then enough information inside in
under 45 minutes. I found this place to be very much alive in ghostly
activity and even as we left looking at the Indian statues made me feel
totally watched.
We then headed home with great excitement. Being
able to investigate 3 major haunted places in one night is a treat
especially 3 places with such high activity. We will wrap up the college
in the near future optimistically speaking. On our way home we did find by
accident one other building we did not have time to go investigate. We do
not know if we will visit Devil's Hole or the United Building again
but they sure were alot of fun and if you snooze you lose just remember.
Visiting these places perhaps sometime again should be a treat when some
new investigators sign up for our next trip out this way. Good morning and
Goodnight!!
Rick
