Tragedy Springs is the site where in 1848 three Mormon men were murdered. Although they blamed the Indians their were many strange finds surrounding the incident such as mutilations and the fact that one of the men still had their gold pouch on them. I believe the site is not only haunted by a possible BIgfoot hotspot. This was our first investigation in April of 2012 and as you can see the snow here has made the place a winter wonderland!
After the incident along the Emigrant Trail many pioneers camped at the springs eventually some made it their home. All that remains of this settlement is this old cabin and barn which seems to be buried in snow. In the summer the springs are flourishing as wild flowers grow throughout this snow covered meadow.

Seeing a site like this in the middle of the sierras is probably is about as rare as seeing Sasquatch. Nonetheless were two serious paranormal investigators snow or shine trying to get to the bottom of this mysterious site which includes falling down snow holes as we try to make our way near the murder site that took place in 1848.
Who says that you cannot have a little fun in the snow while covering a little bit of history. What is even more funny is Tammy was so worried about me hitting her with snow she ended up stepping into a deep hole not a very good feeling if you have nads like me lol. Even in April the snow is very deep here in some areas up to 6' in depth. In the summer when the snow is not here memorials and graves of the murder victims can be found at this very site.

The overgrown snow covered trail you see me hiking on is the California Trail which ran for about 2,000 miles. Back in the day this trail was the tragic site of many deaths including that of my gonads as I stepped in two holes trying to get back to the meadows. We plan on coming back when the snow is gone to do a followup investigation for Bigfoot evidence here for now we just were enjoying the great outdoors.
As we were wrapping up our first expedition into the Tragedy Springs area I just could not resist. I am not sure if it was the ears that made me do it or the fact that diving on into a hole was the manly thing to do. Although we did not find much cryptid evidence in the region we did record a few EVP's possibly from the murder victims in the area. This is not only a strange historic place but its also allot of fun especially in the snow.

I had so much fun the evening before here that I had to take my family to Tragedy Springs for Easter Sunday. Its hard to believe that this at one time was a place where three men were murdered and here we are enjoying all it has to offer. In this video you will witness rabbit races, spills, thrills and even crazy snow ball wars. A look at the lighter side to life even as a paranormal investigator we know when to be serious and when to have a little fun!
Our second visit to Tragedy Springs was a night expedition which is another phase of our project and working with this location. There is snow but it is minimal thus revealing the memorial which I give our viewers some theories, dark lore and history in regards to this location. At one time thousands of emigrants stopped at the springs to camp and recover from the harsh journey into the sierras.

They call this memorial the fountain the plaque on the rock behind me is missing however the small monument still stands constructed of rocks and held by mortar. Its just 15 to 20' from the memorial. Not to far from this location the men were buried in a cairn near a tree that was quite a considerable size in the 1800s. The murder did not happen far from this location as I stand alone in the dark forest connecting with my viewers. We do plan an all out expedition in a year or two of the forest so state tuned we will be back! Also notice the three flags surrounding the monument which symbolizes a way to honor the three Mormon Scouts who were murdered here.
