We headed on out to the Central Florida Woods for some more thrill adventures as we checked out the Silver Springs Lodge, Marion County Veterans Park, and topped off the night with Juniper Springs. Each place we visited was unique in their own way and I have to say it was one of our more fun nights finally having a nice solid team for this investigation. We left fairly late on our long out of town drive and our investigation begins here. Silver Springs Lodge We drove past our first time and good thing Aaron was looking for it because otherwise I would not have known I passed it. The place sits further back and at night is fairly dark. We drove by the hotel the first time and many doors were open and it had a really gloomy feeling. Right away you could look at the place and just tell that it did not have a nice feeling to it.  Some buildings you see you can tell their probably is nothing misleading about it but this place you look at it was more then just an abandoned hotel to me it is a place with a dark history which was waiting for us to uncover it. We parked and first walked in front of the first building which was two floors some doors were open. I tried pushing open one door which would not budge hardly and some leaves were blocking it. We walked around the backside and right away you could see behind the hotel lots of overgrown grass, a pond, and some pretty large willow trees.  We started entering the bottom rooms first of the first building. All the patio doors had shattered glass so all we had to do was walk in. The first room seemed to be the kid hang out type of area lots of spray paint and such. We found a leg and foot bone in the room. We studied it awhile then found nearby the carcass. It was obvious that someone or something ripped it apart. There seemed to be bones cut apart on it. The next room was much the same way signs of others perhaps partying here. By the time we arrived in the third room their was a strong presense here. All of us felt it and it became real cold. That was the one thing I noticed is that the cold spot was on the movie and it followed us to a interjoined hotel room.  After that we made our way through all the lower floors of the first building. The room where I tried to pry the door open on the other side was much more open and James seen it move by itself. I also seen it move on its own like something was entering. I could not open that door yet something unseen had no problem doing so. The one thing I did not like about the first building is the feeling of being watched from the upper balconies. Everytime I walked out a lower patio I would look above at the balconies.  Many of the rooms in the first building just had alot of broken glass but were not in to bad of condition. The second building lower floors were alot different.  By the time we made our way over a few rooms we heard movement above us and not once but a couple times. Something was upstairs walking around. This bothered me more then anything knowing that someone else was in this lodge with us but we kept on. We noticed that the second building had alot more vandalism some rooms were so trashed with pipes ripped out of the ceiling, holes in the all etc But that was the key point with the second building movement up above and some strange unexplained noises.  As we finished the lower floors of the two buildings in the center was the lobby, offices, restaurant, and customer service area. This building had fencing around it and alot of brush on the walkways. I went around the walk way then strayed off of it and we entered into what appeared to be a bar. I went behind was pretending to serve everybody some ghost beers. The lobby was odd it was very dark in here and perhaps not to haunted their was something in I believe the ladies bathroom. I also sensed something in the storage room. Their was a few check in and checkout desk and in the main lobby was a high domed glass ceiling which the stars were visible. This building was very dark and from what we noticed their was alot of spray paint which had things like no nazis allowed, die nazis, death to racism etc etc alot of graffiti which was threatening perhaps to scare off those who entered here. Their was some odd scents if I recall in various area.  We then left and I got outside only to have footsteps chase me when I stopped so did the footsteps. We walked over to the third building which was very overgrown. These rooms were alot different perhaps larger in size and a different setup. Again we heard movement upstairs in various room. We also noticed over towards the third building a door was open much wider as light from the road pierced through it.  I said something real loud telling whatever was their to confront us all of sudden we heard a big bang from upstairs of the first building. It was obvious something seen us and was trying to scare us out of here. The third building was much the same though and that building had a sink with running water clear as ever. We thought that was odd a I mean the pipes should not have been working here not after 25 years of being abandoned. Eventually we walked out to the swimming pool which had some muck in it but surprisingly it was empty so I am sure the city drains it to prevent anybody from drowning here. The woods had just as odd of a feeling as the hotel itself. The cold spots were also becoming overwhelming it was like I had something surrounding me constantly. The fourth building had a tamer feeling probably the least haunted as well perhaps cause it was closer to some houses.  But we went up the stairwell to the fourth building and their was utility rooms probably for sodas, ice, and laundry machines. That first utility room I felt something in. The place just had many different entities here.  We did not spend much time in each room but we bolted down every door walked in each room took a look and left. This went on upstairs starting with building 4 then 3 then Number 2 as we back traced upstairs to where we first started the investigations.  The upstairs rooms were in much better shape but one walkway had a fifty foot crack and it was not stable so the hotels age was showing upstairs. The upstairs though felt perhaps more haunted then the lower floors. Some of these rooms had locked doors so we had to go to a room that had a adjoining room to get in. One room had curtains hung and strung in a eerie manner.  Eventually we made our way to building one which had a very strong presence more then anywhere else. We went in a few upstairs room a few doors down and entered this one room which had burnt carpeting. We noticed that room had a adjoining room door but it was closed. So we went back out and went in the room rather then take the adjoining door. By the time we got to the hotel room next to it that adjoining door was wide open. Something opened the door perhaps this was an invite but we must look at the facts here. Their was no wind. this occurred within the two adjoining hotel rooms, and it happened in a five second time span as we left one room to enter the room next door. Something was toying with us at this point it is not coincidence to have three doors in one night open on their own. I was warned about this a few months ago by a person who visited here once with friends.  We eventually made our way over to a room not sure if this was the room with the strange occult symbol but I took a photo. We eventually left the hotel room looking back and seeing doors we opened totally closed. I cannot explain this phenomena but it is real and it happens perhaps quicker then a flash of light.  The hotel was a paranormal jewel alot of strange noises, movement, cold spots and hidden secrets. We visited over two hundred rooms exploring just about every bathroom and closet. I would describe this place as real trippy; its like taking a bunch of shrooms hallucinating this place is one big mirage of tricks. Some rooms had strange odors, writing, and signs of rats. It was not uncommon to see writing saying you are being watched or die written on a mirror. The one thing that really got me is the fact that one or two rooms remained locked from the inside and why? After this we visited the Marion County Veterans Park.
