I just arrived back from a very warm and lovely stroll into the historical area of Deland where I live. Thank the heavens I live close enough where I am able to walk to most of these places since I do not have a car so I am very fortunate to be able to bring you 2 nice ghost stories tonight. I set off about midnight to investigate the Sans Souci House and Trinity United Methodist Church. I am not sure which was more haunted the walk down the streets to these places or the place
itself. But none the less it was a very nice night for investigating as a mild fog is rolling in. As the first place I visited was a very old historical house and so my journey begins here.
Sans Souci House
I walked around the house and made my way in the back yard. It was very dark and I did trip a few times so tonight I was the clumsy ghost buster. Thank goodness nobody was out on the porches looking. I entered the house and noticed how unstable the inside was. Every single wall was missing, ripped apart, and only the wooden frames and skeleton were left. I felt pretty uneasy at first when I entered and do not think the ghost expected a visitor.
In roughly 2 minutes there was something that moved upstairs it was like a couple loud bangs like somebody ran to hide. It was not a windy night and there was no animals around so it
definitely was something inside the house with me. After hearing the noise I went upstairs to take a few photos and investigate.
The upstairs was all wide open windows were missing and the whole back of the house had no wall so I got up near the edge and looked below at the yard. The upstairs here really made me feel uneasy like whatever was here was right on top of me it was a pretty overwhelming sensation. I made my way back downstairs.
I took a few more photos downstairs not that there was much left to take photos of and went back outside walking around the house and finishing off the investigation with a ton of photos taken in the front and porch area. I seemed to have caught
something's attention as a few times I noticed a light mist in the flash as if the ectoplasm was trying to gather.
The house turned out to be fairly interesting as I noticed like my house this one was just as haunted. It is ashamed that something at one time so grand is now in ruins. After finishing off this investigation I took a stroll over to the Trinity
United Methodist Church which to me so far is the biggest and nicest church in the Deland area.
