Salamanca Erie Train Station
We arrived in a dead town as Liz drove
around. Nobody was out not a car, not a person, and not even any lights on
except for Christmas ones downtown. In a way it felt like the movie called
the Stand everything just stood still and was quiet. I could have ran bare
ass and nobody would notice ha. But we arrived at the very dark foreboding
train station. By this time it was early morning and fatigue was setting
in. I was cold, sore and pretty happy that we made it safe out of the
woods from miles of hiking and investigating that evening.
Liz and I went into the train station this place is pretty large and right
away my first photo was taken of a man. We walked near the ticket counter
and the main area where people sit. The amount of apparitions, ectoplasm
and entities is extremely high. I felt fairly watched no matter where we
went. In almost all my photos you can see ectoplasm whooshing around a
corner, a room, or doorway following us around. We checked out many
different rooms including 2 black bathrooms, a janitors closet, a baggage
area, and a few other little rooms. At this point we were ready to head on
upstairs.
The upstairs was in fairly bad condition a lot of dirt on the floor,
holes, and some windows even missing. The upstairs perhaps was more eerie
then anywhere else here. As one room at one end was very clean and large
and then across from that was a very long hallway with a series of rooms.
Some of the rooms had shelves, closets, Ect probably the administration or
office area. We made our way from one end to the other with ease some
areas were intense as holes in the floor led to a pretty long ways down. I
heard a noise in one of the rooms sounded like walking or something
shuffling around but it was brief. We noticed between the first and second
floor there was many clothes, deodorant, spray paint and vandalism.
We left the train station we were very happy with our results as I
captured many different ghost in a matter of a few minutes just walking
around. We then headed outside and took one last walk around this place. I
found a stairwell going down which was the basement.
The basement was pretty eerie the ceilings were low there was a
maintenance area, a couple very small rooms. It was cold and you could
feel something was down here. The basement area was smaller then the train station
itself. It reminded me more of a old storm cellar with your shelves, brick
walls, and tools.
We headed back outside took a few outdoor apparition shots and walked to
some tracks with a old stone platform where people boarded trains there as
well. Then we headed off to the car. The whole way we walked to the car we
were followed. After about 5-6 photos I told them I was going and they
were gone. So is this train station haunted? Yes we experiences many
things the cold spots, a noise, and many nice photos.
We then headed home it was quite a far and long trip back I think today I
still am recovering. But we had alot of fun and we got alot of work done
before winter really sets in and we could not get up there.
Peace,
Rick

Relieved to leave Allegheny, although beautiful and wonderful I had my fill. At the Old Train Station. Getting in was so much fun I honestly wanted to climb out and back in again. I felt like a kid on a jungle gym, and kind of like a punk rocker… which is always pleasant, anyway. It was beautiful. The place was mystical- like something out of a 1920’s movie. It was like the two of us had stepped back in time together, minus the graffiti and remnants of a squatter- sleeping bag, clothes and deodorant. Where was this boy? Did he leave because of the ghosts? I shot a lot of photos but unfortunately had *technical difficulties and my film didn’t come out too well. I can’t say if I felt anything in particular there.
… on the way…
Finally home so dead tired, no pun intended. Literally had to bribe myself to keep my eyes open while driving. It took a strong mind. 2 minutes from
Rick's house we decide to take a shortcut, at the end is a nice, locked iron gate. “!@#& YOU WORLD!!” I am thinking but while giggling hysterically with Rick. I drop off sleeping beauty lol and Rick. I respectfully decline sleeping on his couch. As if I wanted to sleep alone without my teddy bears??
On the way home loud loud Red Hot Chili Peppers and lots of cigarettes to keep me awake. I can always muster up some energy for a little bit more of anything. |
