Tonight was a real adventurous investigation as again we ventured out into the Ocala National forest in search of ghost of the early pioneers and settlements in the area. We had some pretty interesting places and some places turned out to be dead ends. But it was a night of hard rains, lots of exploring, and we had a new investigator join us named Aaron. We had a really interesting night and as I said earlier it just keeps getting better and better as we explore the back roads of Florida.

We visited many different places such as Ponceannah Cemetery,  Paisley Methodist Church, Paisley Library & Community Park, Umatilla Cemetery, McTureous Memorial Site, & Clearwater Lake Trail. We also visited many sites or sites at least that were in the surrounding area that were no more. So we had quite a busy night and we do hope to return to the area as it seems to have alot of pioneer history of wagons, tales, and other strange happenings.

I went with the john boy look to blend in in case we came across any nut cases we would not stand out to much lol. We headed off fairly later then usual into the window, rainy cool night and our adventure begins here as we enter into the Ocala Woods.

Ponceannah Cemetery

We started off driving down this dirt road in the woods. It was extremely dark back here right away from my observation. But this place had a pretty intense feeling as we got out of the car and started to walk near the cemetery bordering this wooded load. We were also looking for the Astor Bandwagon trail nearby but could not find it so we held off on that for now and focused on the cemetery.

When we entered the cemetery I could feel some curiosity with the entities. Most of the ghost and burials here are from the ghost towns surrounding the area or settlements. They did not seem strong enough to form alot of activity but it took a few minutes then I sensed a feeling os us being followed.

We walked up to a rod iron section of graves that were civil war soldiers. So we were in the older section which also was much colder I felt. The cemetery when all the way to the edge of the woods it was quite interesting because you would not think this would be a big place but really you could shine your light and still not see the other end of it.

We walked around from the old section towards the other side of the woods eventually working out way to the front gate made out of a wood overhang. Whatever was here seemed to follow us only up to the front then it quickly receded back into the cemetery. My main goal was to find the Parents of Walt Disney which seemed nearly impossibly. I found other early settlers from various settlements that were eye openers such as the Call stone which owned a house in the woods a very long time and things of that sort.

I had us head back to the older section it seemed to produce results and we were standing still talking about a certain stone when we heard some beast very close by. It sounded like it was no more then 200 feet away coming from the edge of the woods. Like Lee said it sounded like a hoarse dog. I also heard a growl or something similar to that. Snarling angry dogs perhaps are not so uncommon if they are guarding something or are wild.  I did read a story months ago about Ocala's wild dogs and they say there is alot of them so its real possible. At first it sounded like a man perhaps sounding angry. So in my opinion I am not sure what to make of it. Why it stopped all of sudden was odd to if it was a dog it should have kept going as we walked around. The strange thing is there are no houses in the area and its all dirt roads to nowhere yet we heard this. So whatever we heard there is a good chance it was ghostly since it was a very raspy harsh type of sound.

We eventually took a few more photos and headed back to our next location. This will be the type of place we will visit again its a big cemetery with alot of history. You'll understand when I write the history on it later this week. The next place we headed on off to was Paisley Methodist Church with some pre adventures.

Since I have been working with Rick & lee. I have learned a lot about the
paranormal and to understand that they are people and they have feelings,
emotions moods thoughts, and memories. Understanding this was and is my main
goal .at first I was investigating to get closure on my deceased parents who
passed when I was small but it means a lot more to me. I feel that what
little I'm doing I am helping Rick and lee give closure to the spirits. This
is one of many installments of my experiences investigating the paranormal
until next time   Aaron
