Ocala Historical Square

I read about how historical the square was but had no plans to investigate it last night until we drove by it. So this was a spontaneous last minute investigation considering how there were millions of Christmas lights decorating the trees, lamp post etc it just stood out for us to take a stroll and investigate.

We got out of the vehicle and walked down a walkway and it was just wild down here. There was drunk women giggling all over the place, cops walking around, guys partying, a few bars surrounding the square which seemed to be pretty busy. So right away I knew if I captured anything here it would be pure luck. If we visited here maybe another hour or two later its possible. But we walked around took a few photos of the podium, historical plaques, monument, benches and walkways.

There was a couple guys trying to make out with some drunk girls on a bench I felt like I was in the city I swear it.  But we took photos even the cops were staring at us. There was throughout the square quite a few horses which were covered in acrylic artwork oh you have no idea how bad I wanted to ride the horse I was like a child in a candy store.

I took some photos in one of them Lee and I were talking about how neat it would be to get an apparition on one of the horses then in the flash I randomly took a photo captured some mist surrounding on of the horses which had a face painted on it the oddest horse within the square. We could not believe how many Christmas lights lit up the square and of course we will return here to work more with it when less people our out and about.

But for your imagination lets put it this way imagine living in a small town that has old brick buildings and dozens of shops surrounding a square where the may speaks, trees over hang on benches, walkways where lovers walk, and historical plaques line the grassy knolls with dimly lit lamps lining the sidewalks. Very old fashioned feeling here probably with very old fashioned entities.

We then headed on off to Wesley Cemetery near  where the first Jeepers Creepers movie was filmed.
