Last night was a very special investigation for our group not only was a huge investigation but it also was our 400th place and almost 500th investigation. Milestones like these should never be forgotten. But more importantly it was PERFECT night. I mean we did quite a few different places and this time we did not get stranded this time lol or had to deal with the Swat Team!

But in all due seriousness Jason was able to get back into the mode of things and we had a new investigator come on out. She never did this before and really had a fun time as we trampled out towards Oak Hill City & New Smyrna last night.

The moon was being overshadowed by the clouds as we left around 10pm last night and visited Oak Hill City Cemetery, Seminole Rest, The Instone House, Seminole Rest Caretakers Cottage, and Finally The Dummett Grave. Some of these places are not what you would expect but some of them were fairly intense and so our adventure begins here.

Oak City Hill Cemetery

We went down some back roads and could not find the cemetery. It was odd because it was like a ghost town of warehouses back in here. Eventually we had visited a gas station and there was a police officer hanging out talking to the clerk.

I did not have much of a choice but to ask the clerk for directions. I did it right in front of the cop and he just stayed out of it. The clerk gave us directions and then we headed on off to the cemetery.

We parked up inside the cemetery to stay off the road. The dirt and grave roads within it were pretty rough and alot of the grass around was fairly high. Right away getting out of the car I could sense that the woods might be more active then the cemetery itself.

I started to walk around and instantly Jason and I found a few confederate soldier stones. One of them was broken and leaning but for the most part they were all in good shape.

Then we found another stone that was moved from its foundation and turned. Other then that the cemetery appeared to be in good shape. There were a few minor cold spots and we noticed a fire pit near the cemetery as well as a pond.

After focusing in the older section we went to the newer area where there was some flat stone graves. Jason and I noticed a teenage boy which was a fairly fresh burial. Reading all the poems, letters etc really makes you understand how important it is the work we do.

Moments later the cop with his spot light showed up. I already knew he was going to come but still I figured he would have enough common sense to realize that if I asked the clerk for direction in front of him it must mean that my intentions here were good.

He called me up to his car and asked me what I was doing. I showed him my EMF meter and camera then he told me that the cemetery has been vandalized. He pretty much told me to flat out go did not even check my ID. At this point we were leaving anyways so it really did not matter but on the other hand you see so many drunk drivers out on the roads it makes you wonder why he has to mess with a couple of Ghostbusters.

So we left and of course it just proves my point about our government and the police system in today's society. It was a nice cemetery and yes I will return eventually to get my Ectoplasmic photos. I feel there is something here its probably very timid but I think a second visit here things might pick up a little more. We then ventured off to Seminole Rest.
