The term no place like home is really a understatement compared to the journey we had tonight to bring you a wonderful story. It makes it all the more nicer when you have such devoted investigators such as Mark who work hard at helping this group out and investigating. We again ventured out of town despite the really poor weather to NY & Lake Erie Railroad, Zoar Valley and Griffis Sculpture Park. I have to admit this was one of the roughest most tiring nights almost we ever have done. We covered
a lot of area in a matter of a few hours and had a lot of mishaps but we survived. We headed out in the evening around 7pm and it was snowing lightly the roads were fairly poor and our adventure begins here.
NY & Lake Erie Railroad
I was so excited to visit here just the idea of getting to go inside some cabooses, passenger cars and old engines really made my imagination run wild of the thought of how haunted it could be. We started off going up to the first few engines which are almost brand new looking as they are restored. I climbed on the first engine and Mark took my photo. Then I climbed onto the 1st class car which was locked which was okay since there was many more cars to visit and see.
We walked on the other side of the tracks near a caboose and this area had to long trains on
separate tracks with just a thin aisle for Mark and I to walk between. We walked 2 car lengths over to some wood train car and Mark turned and seen a figure move between the cars and
disappear. Although I did not see it I definitely felt a presence watching us from inside the passenger cars and this area. It was very dark between the 2 trains and it was just so uncomfortable for about 3 car lengths till we came upon a passenger car which we entered. This car was very plain looking the seats looked like that of a bus. Mark and I felt something rush past us. The car proved to be active I heard some odd noises inside maybe walking, banging, something moving around inside the car with us no doubt on that. We climbed out and Mark spooked me peeking his head out a the doorway next to me where I jumped down and I said to myself how can I get him back haha and trust me I did but its all good gets the blood pumping.
We then came across 2 cabooses. One was a Conrail and the other had no name. These may have been more haunted then the train itself. Mark heard tapping and noises in the one caboose. I felt watched from both of them and you could feel that they were abnormally colder then even outside. We then came across a few engines B&O railroad and some unknown types. I caught some ectoplasm up near the engine itself. Then we decided to head our long walk back down the other side of the tracks to explore some more passenger cars.
We went in about 3 more passenger cars which are the main ones used during the summer excursions. Did the cars make me feel welcomed? Absolutely not you could just feel watched, anxiety, cold spots the unwanted feeling. So we did not want to disturb the entities so we moved threw each car taking a few ghostly photos. Then we walked over to the old
trainstation to take a few photos of it since it plays a part in this railroad.
On the way back to the car we headed over to a lone beat up passenger car way down the tracks across the street. This was not even the same type of passenger car. It looked like like it came from hells ghost train. We walked in and there was a small cabin room Mark took awhile so I hid behind the cabin stuck my head out like he did and stared at him then I went boobooboo lol and he jumped a mile. Sorry buddy at least I did not take a photo lol. So we tried to have some human and fun. This last car though was disturbing. I felt like dozens of ghost were sitting in the seats watching us walk up and down the aisles. We took even a ghostly photo in the bathroom on board. So this car had alot of energy. We then headed off to our next location which was Zoar Valley.
