Newnansville Ghosttown Cemetery

We were going to stop at the De Soto Historical Trail but honestly this covers a couple counties and its spread out so much that the exhibits re miles apart lol. I told Andrew if we head back this way will stop check it out but we never did see the parking area for it on the way back from Newnansville.

Anyhow we found the cemetery nothing remains of the ghost town just a few stones that state where certain things use to stand. I only found one stone like this and it stated that this area was the site of the Methodist Church which was strange how I parked next to it.

The cemetery was very dark Jason and I found this one tree that was so large I would say at least 6 people would have to hold hands to cover its circumference so you could see right away the area was very old and preserved.

One of the treats in Florida is all the ghost towns of course most of what remains of these places are such cemeteries. Jason and I went towards the slave section which had so many different wrought iron fences with different family plots. Newer graves were towards the front.

I kept hearing something moving around towards the back of the cemetery I do believe the locals talk about this movement and seeing shadows. So I am almost sure this movement was paranormal but will keep our options open. What caught me with this cemetery is that I entered an earlier 1800's family plot looked like plantation owners the graves were probably residents of the town or more prominent ones.

I went to step over one of the wrought iron fences and something threw something at me. Trust me this is as real as daylight I was shocked really. It did not startle me I just thought what the hell cause Jason had his back turned and was about 8 feet away stepping over the fence and something had hit the ground next to my leg. It looked like a piece of wood but I am not sure but the ground thumped near me and at this point I knew something was not happy with us here. I did not feel evil I just felt displacement like get out little do such entities know that I do not back down so throwing something at me just made me that much more curious.

We worked our way to the front I paid little mind to all the new burials only wanted to get a photo of the entrance. The older sections towards the back interested me cause these burials served this ghost town's history. We then wrapped everything on up felt one cold spot while here that I could say was odd and moved onto one of our final destinations of the night called Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Historic Farmstead with a few other pre stops. Along the way I stopped to get more gas and a K9 Unit car parks  next to us to fill up gas to I seen Jason staring hard thinking about if a dog was in the back seat lol.
