Last night was a pretty big test of endurance, patience and will as Mark and I headed on out of town to bring you some very spooky stories. It was a rough night we encountered everything from getting lost, to a snow storm, to icy hilly roads, to even a ghost that hitched a ride in the car. We had a lot of fun and I am so thrilled to be able to bring everybody a story. It was a late night as we visited 4 different locations which were Lily Dale, Mayville Hanging Grounds, The Chautauqua Belle Steamboat and finally Jacquin's Pond & Bridge. We headed off in the later part of the evening and so our adventure begins here.

Lily Dale

We entered the gates and I could not believe the snow up here. There was 2 to 3 feet some areas we drove by you could see bushes, houses and even cars buried in white. I was a little worried about this because Lily Dale has quite a few little hills and none of the roads are really plowed so we had to rough it. We drove around the small town a few times i could not find the path in the woods leading to inspiration stump it probably was covered in snow.

Although I did notice near Cassadaga lake the park, Gazebo a healing area, and a fountain wrapped in tarp or perhaps it was a statue we are not sure. They say that there is a path in the woods that leads to the stump however the woods are actually in the town square as we drove around getting a feel for the area. Of course with all the snow it was a challenge as we parked near the lake and decided to explore. It was very cold as Mark and I sank past our knees in snow when we stepped out of the car. Since it was in the center of town that would be where most of the power would be so it was worth trudging threw it.

We walked to an area with stone benches. I looked under the tarp it looked like something with cement surrounding it. . But anyhow this seemed to be a very active spot. I heard something near by and even though it was cold you could easily feel something moving past you quickly like maybe the spirits were excited that we were here just for them. We took some ghostly photos and then had fun running threw thick snow to an area where the psychics sit during the summer and give readings. More like many tree stumps outside which were put in a circle .. This area had a lot of energy to. Honestly a baby could have captured all the ectoplasm we caught here just so many ghost circling us you could feel it without even having to focus

We crossed the road and ended up in another small wooded area. I wanted to take some photos of the Gazebo it was in the towns square so I was pretty sure that something would also be here and Mark had a lot of activity on his digital. It seemed that many spirits were around us in just a short time. Unfortunately because of the below zero temperatures we could only spend a short time exploring Lily Dale but we spent enough time to bring you some good ghostly photos and give you a little info on the town itself. I am saddened we did not get to the forest temple or inspiration stump but happy at least that we were able to visit such a well known village.

We headed off to our next location and of course we stopped to get some ghostly shots in front of Lily Dale's exit this was my main goal to get something to be near the main sign just to show how haunted this place really is. We achieved our goals and then headed off to the Mayville Hanging Grounds.
