Lake Diaz Cemetery

This cemetery perhaps was the one we had to worry about most simply because it is in the middle of no mans land. We took a few country roads to get here eventually finding a dirt road which went for over a mile in the woods. The road was full of foliage all dirt and eventually after a long bumpy journey in the car we ended up in front of the cemetery gates. All of us got out and right away noticed the gates had dogs at the top of them made out of all metal it looked at first like a pet cemetery.

We took a break for a little bit everybody had there cigarettes, drinks, etc., so it was very quiet and relaxing here. You could feel a certain friendliness about this cemetery. Right away however it did not take long to notice that many stones were broke, worn, or just forgotten.

We headed to our left it was very woodsy and there were many family plots just surrounded by rusted wiring. The trees at some point hung very low covering some of the stones. I did feel a little uncomfortable walking into one of the gated areas since it was tore off. I started to notice many of the stones had sea shells laying on top of there stones perhaps the giant conk ones you find in the Gulf Of Mexico.

We walked throughout the cemetery found a stone bench broke in half then a few grave markers around. It was apparent there were few unmarked burial areas as well. There were some evergreen trees in the cemetery as well which came in handy later.

Anyhow we were checking out some old stones when I hear a little girl near by scream it was pretty chilling but it was human not animal just coming from the edge of the cemetery. I later started to notice hearing a few minor voices this really got to me here. Perhaps because when I first entered the cemetery I thought I heard a conversation said nahh it can't be but after the scream I knew for sure we had some activity that was happening.

All of sudden headlights came down the road through the woods quickly we ran hid behind the pine tree again I noticed them earlier just in case. So we hid and a guy sat outside the cemetery gates. Eventually he took off but he was on a radio saying there is a car parked in front of the cemetery. He was just a farmer but he did go along the edge of the cemetery and to his home talking to some lady. But nonetheless we did not want to scare these people so we did our last run through the cemetery.

We noticed that one part of the cemetery was very cold like ice this is the area close to where we heard the scream was there a little girl nearby its quite possible. We then headed to the other end and oddly enough I found a gravestone or set of them all by themselves almost in the woods. It was just odd perhaps. Also Pam told me she seen an orb right near my head. John had fresh batteries in his camera yet the camera was dying out.

We explored a little more found an above ground burial made all of brick and a few other old stones I have never seen but they were from the mid 1800s. We then heard dogs barking and they were getting  closer so we wrapped up the investigation. However this one turned out to be a real thriller and we will return. The next place we visited was Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Cemetery.
