JL Saxon Riverfront Park

This park I have visited during the day so perhaps that is where my interest grew or maybe it was the ghost stories told about it. But Lee, James & Myself walked along the park. This park amazingly is very narrow but rather long. We explored the north end of the park as the south end will investigate another time.

As we walked north along the river we seen a Christmas Tree decorated within the park Tree lighting is a very important tradition it seems in Florida as they have ceremonies and events related to it even here in DeLand. Lee and James noticed something near the tree hanging around maybe a ghost but they both felt and noticed something.

We walked on till we came across the main road and a sign saying welcome to Daytona Beach. There was a plaque which talked about the bridge that crossed the Halifax River. We crossed the road and continued to the memorial section of the park. Which had a giant gazebo and a few veteran memorials. I believe one of them is dedicated to the founder of Daytona Beach.

As we were walking to the memorials right near Lee and I a wood stick floated right past us. I seen it with my own eyes. This was the one experience in the night I was waiting for some activity I could actually see. The odd thing about this was that the stick went from right to left in a diagonal motion but rather it was floating. Most objects fall straight down but this was not the case. I picked it up and it was a pretty thick twig about 8 inches with a one inch diameter. I looked around for any trees and there was one but it was at least 20ft away. The twig was rotted and did not match the tree to begin with. So from the observation this twig did not come off the tree and it had been sitting on the ground or wherever for quite sometime as it was saturated with water. So something picked it up maybe through it at us or was carrying it as Mona approached us and theorized on.

We finished the investigation taking photos of the various memorials I asked one of the entities to surround James and I know I captured something as he sat on one of the memorials. After this investigation we started to head home and on our way home there was one last place I wanted to investigate which was very small but nonetheless was one of the first places I wanted to investigate when I just moved here and never got around to it which was the Daytona Highlands.

JL Saxon Park

The energies were very mobile and watchful. The energy seemed to move
around a lot and be watching us. At one point it stopped rather near
us, by a tree, and then moved off closer to the river. At the
gazebo/monuments there was a stronger residual energy field. When the
stick moved I sensed a movement of energy in front of us, with the
direction the stick moved, a ghostly game of kick the can perhaps, or
maybe it was just playing with us because the energy that I had sensed
moving around the park felt very cautious but curious.
