Tonight was a very interesting night I wanted to bring you guys a unique type of story something eerie where a giant storm was coming through so I checked out the Howry Dormitory. This is a really exciting place and I been wanting to bring everybody an investigation on it for awhile despite my last minute efforts. So what more then a perfect time to do so in this investigation with Jeanne approaching.

I really was hoping to bring you an adventure on a few plantations tonight and an Indian village but due to circumstances everybody either canceled on me or stood me up. Lets hope that the hurricane does no further damage to them. I guess that some just are not as adventurous as me but on a psychic level there was a real sense of peace  and excitement tonight as the hurricane was still fairly hours away. I set off for an evening walk to the Howry dormitory which looks more like a colonial mansion. With or without others support I was in a mindset to bring everybody a story and so my investigation begins here.

Howry Dormitory

I left my home and walked near downtown there was nobody out it was like a ghost town. I mean there were a few cars out on some of the roads. Some cops were outside talking I walked past them and what do you know I did not get questioned lol. There was a real calm there was no rain, a humid breeze with the smell of sea salt in the air and hurricane Jeanne's first feeder band past 3 hours before so it was hours before she would strike which is right now as I am typing this report and its almost 4am as I calculated.

I arrived at the dormitory it was very overgrown with weeds. I stood on the porch looked in a few windows then went to the back side. I entered the basement which had a lattice and a doorway. The basement I did not like felt extremely watched and I heard some movement. I did take a few photos and proceeded on the back porch taking some photos inside.

I was admiring the oak woodwork throughout the house and the giant brick fireplace. The floors were pine and very shiny and the chandeliers were very pleasing it had a very colonial type of look. Again I retraced myself to the front porch and seen something move inside the dorm. It was quick but I knew I was not alone.

Unfortunately 3 people nearby the dormitory came outside to drink and party guess they celebrated the hurricane festivities differently then me. But it cut short my investigation as I did not want them to think I was out looting lol.

I climbed up onto a balcony it was pretty high and sat up there for about 15 minutes it started to sprinkle but it was a very warm mist so it felt pretty good. I felt something look at me near the fireplace very watched. Whatever roams the dorm here I had its attention could have been that the activity was heightened with the hurricane arriving or maybe the fact that this place has been abandoned for perhaps a couple years but despite that fact everything here has been totally restored all the way to the wood work to the flooring.

I then spent sometime alone in the basement crouching down taking a few photos again I thought I heard something. I just did not feel comfortable here the basement had a dirt bottom and alot of giant brick pillars it was fairly foreboding.

I took a few more photos  of the outside then headed for home to eat some homemade pork chops and mashed potatoes yummm ha.  Now I have an apple pie cooking in the oven too Ill eat all of that up tonight too ::Grins::

In conclusion to tonight's report I just want to say it is the most amazing feeling or suspenseful thing perhaps investigating knowing a giant hurricane is just hours away. But that is what makes life worth living is thrill seeking or is it letting the thrills seek you. I am hoping to revisit the dorm and capture more photos in the future. I wanted to do this investigation to give others inspiration to show them that despite these hurricanes you cannot let it get you down. Life goes on but so does the endless search for the truth and this is what makes our paranormal organization different then the rest. What we do here is important and I as I had studied this storm for many days I knew tonight was a nice chance to beat the storm to a nice little ghost hunt.  The calm before the storm lasted long enough for me to get an investigation done despite the fact I got out later to investigate then expected the dormitory turned out to be more haunted then expected.

Lastly what is trust?  Some say often it is a gift given between one another whether its between an entity and physical being or perhaps two friends. It is believing in each other but it also is based on honesty and many key elements. But in order to be have a successful investigation there has to be trust. In order to film some entities you have to develop this sometimes which takes a lot of patience especially when your visiting a dormitory where perhaps some of the ghost are that of children or students. As the owner I ask others to support and believe in what I do and you will always come out a winner with me whether my investigators believe in me or they do not.

Hell even if the world is about to end with everybody achieving the same goal the impossible becomes a reality.  Embrace the journey because it is never-ending and either is the quest for the unknown. Have a goodnight!
Rick
