At the end of The Nun, it was revealed that Sister Irene's ally Frenchie had not only been possessed by titular demon Valak, but he was the guy who Patrick Wilson's Ed and Vera Farmiga's Lorraine Warren attempted to exorcise prior to the events of The Conjuring. It's understandable, then, that many have been desperate to find out whether The Nun 2 doubles down on the connection.
