150 Years AgoDeath of old resident: Mrs. Wayside, one of Carson City’s oldest inhabitants and an estimable lady, was twice married. Her first husband was the lamented Major Ormsby. His name will never be forgotten as he took part in the terrible massacre where he and many others died at the hands of the Piutes (sic). Mrs. Wayman died in San Francisco, the cause is unknown.
