**NEW** Updates On Our Site "Jumbo Nevada" A Very Eerie Gold Mining Town.....

Let me take the time to announce this JUMBO addition on our website the gold mining camp of Jumbo. It is not as old as some of the ghost towns I explore but you would never know the difference as it sits in the heart of the Slumbering Hills. It is known to be haunted some good ghost stories come out of this place and its not as well visited as some ghost towns but its eerier then most for sure.

This was a gold mining town part of the awakening mine district also Daveytown we just added was part of the district. Difference is that Jumbo resides at 6 thousand feet above Daveytown while Daveytown resides below in the valley. President Hoover visited Jumbo in the 1930's he was impressed with the operation here.

The town had its gold booms but life was difficult here mining started in 1910 and eventually a massive mill would be built here. The town did not have allot of amenities although it did have a saloon and dance hall for entertainment. Life was simple here and the views were worth a million dollars believe me. The miners lived in small cabins each with a wood stove and a small room with a bed.

While mining even continued into the 1980's the problem was the lease was to expensive and most of the investors bailed due to the litigation involved with boasting an operation here. No less this is a great ghost town full of adventure, scenic wonders, history and remnants of the past. I would love to stay and chat but I have to go to the doctors then get my EKG. But I wanted to get this out before I had to go so that all of you could enjoy this really awesome ghost town. Its very unique it sits on tiers high above the valley. My love for the wild west goes beyond anything else I am involved with all the way to the antelope, cattle, history, sunsets etc I just love it all and want to share my journeys with all of you.

I have so much more coming on our site you could spend months hell years exploring our site alone. I plan on adding many more ghost towns hopefully till I have hundred on the site. Speaking of ghost towns ill be adding on our site next week Paradise Valley known as Paradise City. It is a awesome ghost town with a fort, cemetery and many historical remnants along with nature your going to LOVE IT trust me. I explored underground tunnels and all sorts of awesome sites in the valley.
