150 Years AgoEmpire post office. A post office has been established at Empire that is needed by the residents of that place. It will be convenient to the mill men and others doing business. Mr. L. Blochman has received the appointment of Postmaster. (Empire was about three and a half miles east of Carson. The town site was laid out in March 1860 and named Empire City.
