A family-orientated event offers more than games, prizes and your favorite face-painting artist. Organizers say the event brings three important aspects to a local community: organization promotion, donation contributions and family networking. That’s why Cassidy Davis, owner of the Northern Nevada HotSpot, is hosting Carson City’s first Northern Nevada Fun Day on Aug. 27. “I have wanted to host an event of this nature for over a year now,” she said. “I think it is a desperate need in our community.
