Fallon recorded 107 degrees on Friday, breaking a record of 106 set in 1923.The Lahontan Valley experienced late afternoon thunderstorms, but the National Weather Service said radar estimates show about .75 of an inch of rain fell behind Fallon and Fernley. The NWS said Fallon and Fernley may see a late afternoon storm, but south of Fallon, NWS said there’s a 15-25 percent chance of thunderstorms between Fallon and Hawthorne.Fallon’s high is expected at 101 today and then “cooling” off to the high 90s next week.Sunday may not break the century mark as the prediction is for 98 degrees.NWS said …
