Carson City Parks and Recreation is partnering with the Salvation Army to make sure area families who need help getting supplies are prepared for the upcoming school year. The Summer Kamp School Supply Donation Drive kicked off Monday, July 18, and is running through Aug. 12. Anything from backpacks to binders and lunch boxes to index cards are needed. “Giving back is the biggest thing someone can do,” said Sierra Fowzer, Carson City Parks and Recreation Aide Supervisor. “We watch families grow up, I’ve seen kids who don’t have something as simple as crayons.”Other items being collected include: glue sticks …
