A 30-year-old hiker was able to walk out of the mountains with the help of Douglas County rescuers on Monday after he was overcome by heat and dehydration.The hiker was reported dehydrated and having difficulty walking out on Sierra Canyon Trail above Genoa at about 1:30 p.m.At the time of the initial call he was 4-5 miles up the trail.Douglas County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue team members and East Fork Fire District firefighters responded to the report.Two mountain bikers reported they gave the hiker some water and a couple of protein bars as they passed him on the trail.Rescuers hiked …
