Carnival and award seasons collide as Brazil roots for its Oscar-nominated film

As Oscar season heats up, the Brazilian city of Recife turns Carnival into a celebration of its hometown film hopeful, The Secret Agent.
      The Secret Agent parade through downtown Recife with Carnival "bloco" groups, carrying a replica of the city's infamous 1970s urban legend, the "Perna Cabeluda" ("Hairy Leg"), which makes a homicidal appearance in the dictatorship-era film.'/>
