Nick Fischer, 14, left, and Diana Alonso, 16, One Up student volunteers from Partnership Carson City pick up tobacco waste around Western Nevada College Wednesday. As part of Kick Butts Day @ WNC they will do a count of the cigarettes for a later presentation on toxic environmental effects of tobacco waste. The Carson High School students were two of about a dozen volunteers to help in the cause.  …
