150 years agoMeteor: On Sunday night, a very beautiful meteor was witnessed by a number of the citizens of Carson. It made its appearance about the zenith and traveled slowly toward the horizon about 22 1/2 degrees in a northerly direction. The primatial hues were distinctly observable about the time of its culmination. It exploded without a sound, but threw a scintillating shower of finery light far around the spot where it disappeared in space.
